What evidence do you have that he is basing this on fact??? In fact, if he has facts to back this up, why has he NEVER explained them???

YOU are an idiot if you think that, just because this MAN (not GOD) happens to be President that he isn’t capable of lying or at least stretching the facts to suit his needs.

You should listen and respond to the experts quoted in the article, rather than responding to those making comments on the article. Because the experts say that Bush is NOT CORRECT when he makes this ridiculous statement over and over again – which he just made again this morning!!!

Not only are there NO FACTS to support this ridiculous contention, but Bush’s position actually defies logic. In fact, when the 911 attacks took place, we were NOT in Iraq. So how do you and Bush explain that? Additionally, I would imagine that it would be virtually impossible for the U.S. to turn into some sort of terrorist battleground like Iraq. In fact, from what I can tell, we seem to be catching and stopping any and every terrorist plot that gets planned these days.

No. This is nothing more or less than POLITICAL TERRORISM. Bush is basically trying to SCARE the American people into doing what he wants. For whatever reason, he is totally invested in this war and he obviously thinks everyone else should be as well.

BTW, the current situation with a “nuclear Iran” makes another great point about the START of the war in Iraq:

It has always been my position that, if we REALLY believed that Hussein had WMD’s, we would certainly never have attacked. Indeed, if he had such weapons, why did he not immediately use them to repeal the U.S. invasion?

I believe that the reason we are not looking at military options in Iran is for this very reason: I think we KNOW that Iran has such weapons and, as such, would USE them, if attacked – something the U.S. does not want any part of.

If this is true, I think the fact that we even invaded Iraq PROVES that we KNEW there were no WMD there. As such, the entire war IS illegitimate. And, since the original reason for the war was invalid, Bush naturally has to come up with something else. And it’s so obvious what he’s doing:

He’s basically trying to hypnotize and brainwash the American people: He believes that, if he says this over and over again, people will start to believe him.

And you are the perfect proof that he has a point. You have no logical reason to believe this man and yet you do. That is the classic definition of “brainwashing”: to hold the opinion of another without critically examining or coming to the opinion on one’s own.

Frankly, as I said above, if you look at the world through black/white party lines, you could just as easily say “leftists let too many illegal immigrants in, conservatives start pointless wars.” And the US is not really a socialist nation, so you should ask yourself “what has the right done for me in conducting this war?” There hasn’t been a decrease in gas prices, despite Halliburton boating it out as fast as they can, taxes haven’t gone down, among other things half the world things the US is a villainous nation. So again, what has Bush and his Republican Right done good for the country.

I’m saying the “right” is bad at all, but if you’re going to directly compare them to the left, it was the right has gotten the country into more trouble and wars.

Leftists make excuses for all manner of criminals, social misfits and libertines,,,and expect perfection from the American government – run by people. Letists are generally willing to believe ANY opponent or enemy of the US and give that enemy EVERY benefit of the doubt. (Of course, in their misplaced zeal to appear “fair”, such benefit is NEVER accorded their own country.)

As I noted, the benefit of misguided Leftists is clear – they are examples to point to and say, “This person is an excellent example of why moral relativism ruins a society.”

I honestly think Iraq will go down in history as America’s worst foreign policy blunder. I can’t speculate on what’s going through Bush’s mind. I don’t know if he’s just dumb, can’t face reality, or that over-masculine Texas attitude won’t let him back down until his term is over. All jokes aside, I think Bush and the Republican Party simply stand to loose way too much if Democrats get their way and force a withdrawal. Bush simply because he represents any number of big business ventures (including Halliburton and the big oil conglomerates) as their official pass for exploiting Iraq, and the Republican Party simply because they back him as a candidate for presidency (twice!!). So, please tell me how this just boils down a “liberal” versus “conservative” fight?

Liberals let too many illegal immigrants into the country, conservatives start pointless wars for economic gain. Take your pick if you look at the world that narrowly.

I am pessimistic about this. Think military industrial complex, Blackwater’s 20,000 strong army and the young rumsfelds and cheneys that all have combined to form the American Al-qaeda thanks to the current bunch of goons in the administration.

Please please stay, please mess up the middle east further, please please support torture, Please get more of your own troops killed in meaningless patrols!

Please please don’t update your infrastructure, please please don’t deal with your social problems or rebuild New Orleans!

Please become more militaristic and dominated by Isreal!!!

Well, to be fair the US used to be the leader of the free world.

Back when they all listened to us.

Only recently, thanks to George W Bush and the airheads who support him, did people stop listening to us and turning to us for leadership.

Now they turn to us for laughter, ridicule and scorn.
