How many other cases like this one are out there? I'm betting more than a few. Which means that local media all over the country get to participate. b) In subverting a long-held Senatorial prerogative - the ability to nominate local US Attorneys - the administration took away a very valuable perk of office from all senators. The GOP senators went along with it at first, but how many voted to take back their perk last month? All but one, I think. That tells you a lot right there. This whole thing stinks on a variety of levels, which is why support for Abu G on the hill is non-existent. Everyone is pist. c) The democrats can smell criminal wrongdoing, with Karl Rove at the center of it all. You think Pat Leahy is going to stop until the truth come out? Not gonna happen. We're going to be watching this one through the summer at the very least. Once they do that, this story goes away.
