Instead of improving education, we turnout students every year that cannot get a job, because instead of received a HS diploma, they receive a "Certificate of Attendance". It is time we stop teaching the FCAT and rewarding the schools and teachers by how many students pass the FCAT. We need to bring back a rounded education. Spend more time teaching them to read, not taking PE away so that they can spend more time on the FCAT. Serious problem here with mixing definitions. Using the faculty for partisan politics and the aggrandizement of a political official is not what elected representatives are granted the power to do in this case. Quality education and research is the policy goal, not political servitude.
