voted for Edwards… I also like Kucinich and Obama but I am looking at the total picture who can really win… who can capture the attention of dumbed down America…Edwards can. Maybe he will pick Obama or Kucinich as his VP.
I voted for Kucinich. When asked to comment on why I voted for him, I replied:
Kucinich is the ONLY candidate who opposed the invasion, occupation, and destruction of Iraq from the beginning and up the present time.
And, he is the ONLY candidate who has a plan (H.R. 1234) to safely withdraw our troops from harm’s way IMMEDIATELY, while treating Iraq as an independent country worthy of our respect, which the current, demented, corrupt president never has. The other candidates do not seem to think that is important.
Finally, Kucinich is a person of integrity, honesty, and foresight, which is a claim that Clinton, Biden, Dodd, and the folks at MoveOn.org CANNOT make, unless they want to be caught in a baldfaced lie, like the current idiot-in-charge!
MOVE ON is FRAUD on the Iraq Issue, and has a hidden Clinton Agenda in my opinion.
Just review what they did regarding Hillary Clinton’s Democratic Challenger here in New York, Jonathan Tasini.
With just hours to wait for responses, they finally gave him a mention in regards to pressuring ‘HILLARY’ to have a debate with him.
Hillary is for the WAR… always has been for the WAR….. and will never admit that she voted for POLLS rather than what was right.
Hillary was 1st lady of the US for 8 years…. during which Iraq was subjected to constant monitoring, sanctions and no fly zones on his northern and southern borders.
MOVE ON had a real chance to let the democratic process be heard, not muzzled, like it was by Hillary’s friends who own the TV News networks here in the NY area.
Hell, even on the night of the Primary, after all the votes were counted, Long Islands News 12 referred to Jonathan Tasini, after getting 20% of the vote as ‘Hillarys Opponent’, not even mentioning his name.
Now Move On has the nerve to hold such ‘virtual meetings on Iraq’.
Well, I from this former Move On member, a guy who wound up having a fight with some Bush Wipes that showed up to try to ruin Move On’s ‘Cake Sale’ during the Kerry Campaign that was taking place in my neighborhood has a big old ‘VIRTUAL MIDDLE FINGER’ for Move On.
Everyone.. do not waste your time or effort with Move On.
Just saw where Kucinich is demanding some answers on why our gasoline prices are soaring when the cost of oil is down? He’s perhaps the only guy with CAJONES these days to ask the questions people want answers for. Kucinich is also reopening the 911 investigation due to blaring inconsistencies between the “official story” and what may have really occurred. Building 7 is the real thorn in the side of this administration because it housed the Enron files and collapsed seemingly without anything hitting it. What’s up with that? “if it smells like a rat, crawls like a rat, squeals like a rat….then…..”
All I know is that we definitely should not reward any candidate who voted “yes” for this amoral war in Iraq by electing him/her to the presidency. That would include: Biden, Lieberman, Dodd, Hillary, McCain, and Edwards. The only “prophets” in this case would be: Kucinich, Obama, and Feingold. After all, they had (perhaps with the exception of Obama) the exact same information upon which to base their judgment; in fact, with Hillary serving as First Lady for the previous 8 years, she had MORE information than the rest and yet sold out and helped tank this country.
In fact, this election needs to become a referendum on the incredible power of one’s vote in Congress – a power that can help make or break and entire country – and something which some of these clowns do not take very seriously. This must change and it’s time has come – to hold these very people who voted “yes” to enable this dictator to invade a sovereign nation based on lies and deceit which has resulted in the unnecessary deaths of now over 3200 of our military, maimed over 25,000 as well, and killed countless innocent Iraqis….wholly and personally responsible for their “error in judgment”. We need to send the message to all of these “enablers” that THEY, along with the Bush Cabal, are the reason behind the downfall of this democracy and this country internationally.
Let’s hold Biden, Hillary, McCain, Lieberman, Edwards, Dodd individually and collectively responsible for this war. Let’s send them the clear message that our next Commander In Chief cannot repeat the same errors in judgment that we are seeing everyday in the Bush White House; Apologies and hindsight in the range of 20/20 will not cut it – 20/20 hindsight is easy! Empty apologies mean zippo. What does matter is their critical error in judgment BASED ON THE VERY SAME INFORMATION WHICH FEINGOLD & KUCINICH HAD. A vote for any of these congressional enablers is another vote for George W. Bush. A vote for any of these congressional enablers will surely succeed in putting the finishing touches on the rapidly-sinking SS USA.
I like what Kucinich is actively doing. I have to say, I am really tired of the talk one thing, but walk the other way. He is showing us right NOW that he can walk the talk. There are others who have failed that test miserably. (Hillary, anyone?) I think Edwards handled his questions a little more smoothly, but Obama let me down when he alluded that the US has the right to decide who gets nuclear capablities. I have always thought that was hypocritical. I believe the US needs to humble itself and back away from making more mistakes like the ones that led up this war. We are not the world police and our opinion is not the only one that matters.
I get the spam emails from MoveOn.org, but, as I do with all spam, I hit the delete button. I haven’t read one email from them. They have already made their decision on who should be the Democratic nominee, and I don’t agree with them. Hmmm, I think I’m going to log into my email and promptly opt-out of their spams from here on out.
DENNIS KUCINICH FOREVER!!!!! IF NOT AS PRESIDENT, DEFINITELY AS V.P. AFTER FRANKENCheney’s REIGN OF TERROR, A CLEANSING PURITY IS NEEDED IN THAT OFFICE THAT Torticola FRANKENCheney DEFILED AND SULLIED ALMOST BEYOND REPAIR!!!!!

April 11th, 2007 at 9:47 amI forgot to put in a line from my comment to MoveOn.org in #2:
Kucinich is the ONLY candidate who is proposing a Department of Peace to help us avoid debacles like the one in Iraq in the future!

April 11th, 2007 at 11:24 amTo Greg and Proud Dem:
I would suggest that rather than ignoring MoveOn.org we keep our membership and WATCH ‘EM LIKE A HAWK!
Those folks need montoring, and they need to be called when they try to skew issues away from the ideas of TRUE progressives, like Dennis Kucinich.
April 11th, 2007 at 12:34 pmKucinich is the only one with a backbone here, and real plans to get us out of this horrible mess. HR 1234 is the answer, period.
GO KUCINICH!!!
