Like it is in Iraq, suffering and death is also widely prevelant in poverty-stricken neighborhoods- especially in Africa- where people barely survive on less than $1 a day (which is 1 out of every 5 person on earth). Consequently, as long as Bush makes no attempt to eradicate global poverty or end the war, people will continue to suffer. The Millennium Development Goals, therefore, were agreed upon by 191 world leaders in 2000 to cut global poverty in half by 2015 and eliminate it by 2025. By combating global poverty (which is at the root of the problem), Bush can protect our country from future terrorists and save millions of lives.
