No. 116. Hear Ye. Hear Ye, valiant venus runs off at the mouth again as she states:

"No….I don’t demonize atheists - they can do that all by themselves."

So, tell me dear God(dess), do you believe atheists are demons? Out with the truth now!!! Good believers don't lie! If you believe your own statement above, just what do you do with a demon? Wouldn't you demonize him??? If so, what conclusion would one draw from your statement? You're a lawyer. Clean your glasses and read it over very slooowly. At a girl, you can do it! Yes, I know its hard to accept your self contradiction. But just keep at it. Practice makes perfect.

And then she continued to rant (speaking of ValiantVenusGrewFromUranus)

"I do not take you seriously enough to be offended by you….I do feel great sympathy for you"

Ah, I see! You give demons sympathy instead!!! And GREAT sympathy at that. Well, at least you do it greatly. I'm really impressed. Toleration and sympathy. What a pair of feelings to run your existence by. Tolerably sympathetic. er.. or would that be, sympathetically tolerant. Oh, and we musn't leave out, not taking people "seriously enough". So that means you wander about not seeing people well enough to take them seriously while you tolerate them sympatheticly. er.. or would that be, sympathetically tolerate them from the haze that is your reality.
No matter I suppose.

Ah, what a joy you must be to greet the morning with. A person would have so much to look forward to after arising with a hangover brought on by escaping your "friendly" persona the night before.

No. 116. The ever charming valiant venus runs off at the mouth again:

"Clearly, the majority of religious people tolerate your views, as we should. Stop asking us to amend our culture and society to accommodate your discomfort. That seems to be your problem.
Your argument still lacks “legs”…."

BwaHaaaaaaHaaaaaaaHaaaaa

How you twist logic around! You are the one who feels threatened if you don't have the Ten Commandments written on some big rock and placed on public property, which is violating the Constitution. Yeah, but then you are a lawyer, aren't you. Whine, whine, twist, twist. Just listen to your rant in No. 116! It is a real gas bag of a post.

And see, there you go using that word tolerate again. Is that what you do with everything and everybody in your life? Tolerate them through gritted teeth? Boy you must be one uptight lady. From your rant in No, 116 it sure seems like it.

I can just picture someone coming home to be greeted by you after a grueling day at work. They would no doubt head straight to the liquor cabinet. But then, what do I know? I'm the unwashed...

So, since you seem to want to tell me what my problem is, ("That seems to be your problem." you told me.) I will continue to respond in kind. (Oh, and by the way, are you a lawyer or a psychologist. I hope you are a lawyer. I will really feel sorry for your clients if you are trying to cure them!)
Hint to The ever charming valiant venus: Stop projecting your own psychological problems (like tolerating) on to everyone else. It makes you look stupid. And even you must know that it is really bad for a lawyer to look stupid. Blind as a bat may be OK, but Stupid???

No. 116. More of the ever charming valiant venus responding:

"(Hint to Merlin - If religion bothers you, DON’T go to churches or synagogues"

What about mosques, you didn't include mosques!

If you want to make suggestions to the unwashed masses (to which you think I belong) you must be complete. Attention to detail, my dear girl, is very impor... darn there I go again! This is probably too deep for you to get as well.

But seriously...You know this is really fun!!! You are teaching me a lot of really neat stuff. I had no idea that religion might be bothering me. Glad you brought that to my attention. I will have to meditate on that seriously deep suggestion. Excuse me for a bit:

OOOOMMMM Â This is me telling you goodbye. Â OOOOMMMM

No. 116. The ever charming valiant venus responds some more yet again:

"You also incorrectly note, “I do believe strongly in the separation of Church and State as indicated by the Constitution.”

You really are a case, aren't you?

Did you forget your glasses again? Maybe you wore them but haven't cleaned them in a couple of weeks. No, no, I get it now!!! Your glasses allow you to read stuff that isn't there and make silly judgments on what you believe you are seeing. Now this is a real problem. I hope you make enough money as a blind lawyer to afford a new pair that will allow you to see what is really written.

Now, how in the world can I be incorrect by stating the above? That is my belief. Nowhere did I say anything about that being in the Constitution. Now did I? OK, I'll be "big" one more time. Go ahead, clean your rose colored glasses and try again. Only this time very slooooowly so you get it right.

Sheesh I really feel sorry for your clients, if you have any.

Look, an opinion is different than a statement of fa... Oh never mind, there is no point in teaching you anything. You couldn't grasp it anyway. Way to deep.

No. 116. The ever charming valiant venus responds some more:

"(Of course, you could not tell us which specific religion is being forced on the downtrodden atheists and humanists out there as NONE is being forced on them.)"

You must have misplaced your reading glasses my dear. Isn't getting old terrible? Well, that is what happens when you are "over the hill". You know, like 50 pounds overweight and no longer look attractive to other people. Oh, your hearing also goes although that does happen until later. You don't have a hearing problem do you dear, like the one you have with your eyes, do you? Well I hope not. Blind AND deaf would really sink your boat.

I was quite specific in my jest about which religion. I said it was the Republican Religion. That you are not able to grasp the depth of that answer shows just how shallow you are. Are you really a lawyer as was indicated here in this thread? For the sake of someone needing one I would hope not. Having a blind (and maybe deaf as well) lawyer would really be a bummer. (My apologies to all those hard working blind and deaf lawyers out there who read this.)

I suppose I could educate you again, but you might not take kindly to my saying bad things about your Republican Religion, and get hurt. So, I will be "big" again, just like you, swallow all my pride and bite my tongue.

No. 116. The ever charming valiant venus responds:

"I appreciate you tolerating my “belief system” - as I tolerate yours."

Great gugamooga! Where did I say anything about tolerating your belief system. What I said was:

"I have no problem with your personal belief system."

That is a far cry from toleration. Perhaps it is expecting too much for you to know the difference. But then again, this could simply be proof that you will distort and twist whatever is said even when it is written 2 inches above your typing! How can anyone have a civil conversation with you if you can't stop distorting what I say or do it purpose?

And frankly, I neither want nor need your "tolerance". Even though you believe that it is so "big" of you to bestow it on me. Do I sense a tiny bit of arrogance here? But I will give you the benefit of the doubt this once, (I can be "big" too, you know) and say you just don't know the difference. So here is a lesson for you.

What we need to do is ACCEPT one another's belief system, not "TOLERATE" it through gritted teeth. Acceptance is the basis for love, and if you don't understand that you are in deep trouble. Is it not Christians that ACCEPT Christ? They don't just tolerate Him do they? I think not.

Sorry, Merlin’s assertion is incorrect and perpetuate the same ignorance. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Says the braindead pretend *lawyerETTE* that can't read a simple sentence. It says make no law "respecting the establishment of religion", that means the government cannot be involved in promoting and establishing any religion - whether or not it is the 'state' religion. You're so st*pid, you make george look smart.

To tolerate your atheism does NOT mean I must embrace atheism. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Yet this is what you expect athiests to do. To *embrace* your right to use the government to 'establish' (promote) your religion.

It is a permissible exercise of free will - nothing more - nothing less. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Except when you use the government to 'exercise' it.

Your tolerance of my religious beliefs does not imply your embrace or even respect for those beliefs. I am FREE to exercise my religion - PERIOD. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

It does when my money 'funds' its promotion (establishment).

“After all, you’re so obsessed with being offended by liberals, you spend most of your free time here whining about how you’re offended by us.”
No….I don’t demonize atheists - they can do that all by themselves. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Ah, there we go. Proving my point, and disproving your own. Bigot, hypocrite and fool.

I do not take you seriously enough to be offended by you….Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Nor do you take the constitution and american values seriously. It's why you, and fascists (terrorists) like you that are willing to bomb hospitals are such a danger to our democracy.

I do feel great sympathy for you - you’re clearly a disturbed person who is not well. Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Coming from someone that makes dead baby jokes about their own children - highly ironic! You're the goddess of projection.

Apparently you have anti-social tendencies which are not being addressed very effectively….you poor dear. Sweet dreams………..
Comment by valiant venus — April 13, 2007 @ 12:23 am

Coming from someone that says the hateful things you say, quite ironic. Once again, the goddess of projection. Sweet dreams indeed - you live in one. A giant fantasy that deludes you into thinking you're 'normal', while the vast majority of americans that disagree with you are just plain wrong. You're a lunatic, and that's why you could never possibly take me serious. If you ever did take me seriously, you'd have to check into a mental hospital - you sick, perverted piece of Anorexic self loathing c*nt.

Sweet dreams indeed.

Where? No such separation is indicated ANYWHERE in the Constitution or any Amendment. Comment by valiant venus — April 12, 2007 @ 11:18 pm

For someone that claims to be a lawyerETTE, you're as ignorant of the law as that sl*t Coulter.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

This says no law can respect ANY religion, not just a SINGLE religion, you st*pid illiterate c*nt.

You would have a legitimate grievance if the government established an “official” religion and/or forced you to participate. Comment by valiant venus — April 12, 2007 @ 11:18 pm

That's b*llsh*t. The amendment says no law can be made to promote religion. It doesn't say a single religion - st*pid c*nt.

You seem to miss the point that the government MAY NOT prohibit the “free exercise” of my religion or anyone else’s religion - whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not - OR whether it OFFENDS you or not. Comment by valiant venus — April 12, 2007 @ 11:18 pm

You seem to miss the fact this is the *second* part, and not the most important part of this. No one is preventing you from believing what every disney story you want to believe - st*pid c*nt. Just don't use LAWS and MONEY FUNDED BY LAWS to promote your personal b*llsh*t. Is that too hard for an idiot like you to understand?

You do not have the right to press your level of disagreement or discomfort down some else’s throat. (Hint to Merlin - If religion bothers you, DON’T go to churches or synagogues Comment by valiant venus — April 12, 2007 @ 11:18 pm

Not true. Free speech IS a separate right, and you can exercise freely, but we can tell you that your religious fanaticism is st*pid and uncomfortable for *reasonable* people - you miserable selfish c*nt.

Clearly, the majority of religious people tolerate your views, as we should. Stop asking us to amend our culture and society to accommodate your discomfort. That seems to be your problem.
Your argument still lacks “legs”…. Comment by valiant venus — April 12, 2007 @ 11:18 pm

The majority of you religious type do NOT tolerate athiests, that's why you won't vote for them, and demonize them. You're full of sh*t, and your bigotry is what lacks "legs", you ignorant sl*t.

#114 - "The Republican Religion"? Merlin I gave you too much credit - you are not as bright as I thought. (Of course, you could not tell us which specific religion is being forced on the downtrodden atheists and humanists out there as NONE is being forced on them.) Am I offended that Bahai's discuss Bahaullah with me or invite me to their breaking their spring fast. No. Am I offended hearing about someone else's religion when I am not a member of that graoup? NO! I appreciate you tolerating my "belief system" - as I tolerate yours. However, you incorrectly read the Constitution as a ban on public displays of religion - "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;...."

You also incorrectly note, "I do believe strongly in the separation of Church and State as indicated by the Constitution."
Where? No such separation is indicated ANYWHERE in the Constitution or any Amendment.

#114 – “The Republican Religion”? Merlin I gave you too much credit – you are not as bright as I thought. (Of course, you could not tell us which specific religion is being forced on the downtrodden atheists and humanists out there as NONE is being forced on them.) Am I offended that Bahai’s discuss Bahaullah with me or invite me to their breaking their spring fast. No. Am I offended hearing about someone else’s religion when I am not a member of that graoup? NO! I appreciate you tolerating my “belief system” – as I tolerate yours. However, you incorrectly read the Constitution as a ban on public displays of religion – “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;….”

You also incorrectly note, “I do believe strongly in the separation of Church and State as indicated by the Constitution.”
Where? No such separation is indicated ANYWHERE in the Constitution or any Amendment.

You would have a legitimate grievance if the government established an “official” religion and/or forced you to participate. You seem to miss the point that the government MAY NOT prohibit the “free exercise” of my religion or anyone else’s religion – whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not – OR whether it OFFENDS you or not. You do not have the right to press your level of disagreement or discomfort down some else’s throat. (Hint to Merlin – If religion bothers you, DON’T go to churches or synagogues

Clearly, the majority of religious people tolerate your views, as we should. Stop asking us to amend our culture and society to accommodate your discomfort. That seems to be your problem.

No, 113. valiant venus intones:
"Merlin - Be a dear and tell the audience which religion is being established when our money says “in God we Trust”?"

The Republican Religion to which you subscribe, of course.
Sigh... You neo-con enablers are so comfortable with changing the subject and avoiding reality so you can continue to do business as usual.

And what is all this cutsy "psst" business. Are we keeping a secret no one here is supposed to know?

And golly, this one just went right over my poor little 'ol head: "you could use another leg on that stool - you have none left…."
Maybe you should enlighten this poor unenlightened soul so he can rise to your exalted level from his place in the unwashed masses.

But on a serious note, all references to a higher being should be removed from anything the government does, IMO (and that includes buildings, parks, stationery as well as bills and coins. It, however, is not politically viable or PC to do that, and so they remain on our coins, bills etc.
BTW, I have no problem with your personal belief system, Christian or whatever. I have my own way of seeing things and have no desire to force it down your throat. I expect the same treatment from others, including you. I do believe strongly in the separation of Church and State as indicated by the Constitution.
That there is gross misuse of said Constitution is not a justification to abuse it, and that is the spurious argument you are using.

Do you care to address the Constitution on the point of the Establishment clause, or is it you who has no legs on your stool to stand on?

104 - "Calling me paranoid, when you sit here and promote hatred of another religion which is no more, or no less peaceful than your own."

GWB, I have already told you I don't care what you believe, if you believe or how you believe....it's none of my business. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder the size of a cinder block and for that I am sorry. You must be miserable and I feel sorry for you. But don't worry, unlike radical Muslims - rabid Christians or Jews are not going to show up at your door and threaten you with murder or mayhem if you don't believe what we believe.

God gives everone a free will to believe or disbelieve what they want - your choice to not believe in God is just that - your choice. My choice to believe in God is laughed at here...who cares? Obviously if I cared what Prog posters said about me, I wouldn't visit. And while your anti-religious bigotry is telling, I don't fear an atheist mob showing up at my home of office demanding I denounce my faith.

So, GWB, while you may not like religious people, (and we don't threaten your life and limb) try ignoring us. I have no problem ignoring atheists - I think they are smart enough to make up their own minds.....Pssst....you might get along with others in the sandbox if you didn't LOOK to be offended about everything....
