More Rove fingerprints.

By Nico Pitney on Apr 13th, 2007 at 9:27 pm

More Rove fingerprints.

NPR reports, “According to someone who’s had conversations with White House officials, the plan to fire all 93 U.S. attorneys originated with political adviser Karl Rove. It was seen as a way to get political cover for firing the small number of U.S. attorneys the White House actually wanted to get rid of. Documents show the plan was eventually dismissed as impractical.”

If y’all don’t mind, would you please consider sharing this with your elected officals.

    Dear

As you know, upon becoming President of the United States of America, an oath of office is taken that states: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. This is the most important duty of the office. The current President and administration has made numerous efforts to circumvent and disregard the very same thing he has been asked to uphold; the latest of which regards the keeping of official communications to and from the Executive Office of the President. While I can only speculate as to the reason for this disregard of official policy, it none the less shows the contempt this administration has for our Constitution, and it is just the latest example of such disdain. It is now your responsibility to our country and to our Constitution to implore Representative Pelosi to begin impeachment hearings.

In my opinion, the loss of five million e-mails is a blatant and willful violation of the Presidential Records Act, which might lead one to believe an intentional act of gross incompetance, destruction of evidence, and obstruction of justice.

    Sincerely,

It is time to turn the heat up and hold their feet to the fire.

Many of you have sought guidance regarding the Administration transition to the President’s second term. This message serves to convey the entirely of the information we have at this point, and as more information becomes available it will be shared with you.

First, the President is tremendously grateful to you, and every member of his team, for your hard work over the past four years. He recognizes the sacrifices that you and your family have made to enable you to serve, and he is deeply appreciative. America has looked at the President’s record – continuing success in the war on terror, violent crime at a 30-year low, and declining drug use among America’s youth, among other successes – and asked him to stay on the job. He is honored and humbled by the privilege to serve, as I know each of you are.

Second, as we move into this transition period, the President has decided that he will not ask for letters of resignation. That said, as always, each of us serves at the pleasure of the President.

Third, some of you have expressed interest in serving in other capacities in the Administration, both within the Department and elsewhere. If you would like to considered for other opportunities, please let me know what position(s) and agency or agencies you are interested in and I will work together with White House Presidential Personnel on these matters.

Additionally, if you are intending to leave the Administration within the next three months, please let me know that as well.

As we move forward, the Attorney General thanks you for your continued service and asks that you stay focused on the job at hand. While it is appropriate and good to celebrate successes, we cannot let it detract from the ongoing critical mission of the Deparment. Thanks you again, and please feel free to contract me with any questions.

    Dear

In my opinion, Mexican national trucks and truck drivers must stay within the 25 mile border zone, unload their cargo and cannot proceed any further onto United States soil.

The foreign-national truckers have low overhead as they are not required the same safety and insurance maintenance and upkeep on their trucks, as American truckers, and thus can haul for far less per load than our own truckers, and will replace American workers.

There is no way of verifying if Mexican truckers have been on the road for two hours or two weeks before they enter the United States. It is unclear what agency will oversee the collection of random drug and alcohol testing samples of Mexican drivers. With no background or drug checks that can be enforced, as there are no facilities in place in Mexico to ensure the drivers are safe to drive on our roads, it puts all American motorists at serious risk. Many Mexican trucks have bald tires and poorly maintained rigs as Mexico does not regulate their trucks to adhere to the strict safety regulations our truckers are required to adhere to.

Law enforcement records have indicated that large numbers of Mexican truckers have participated in bringing black market loads of people, drugs and products, across our border already illegally, and will work to create new smuggling routes across America if the doors are opened for them to truck here via NAFTA.

    Keep American truckers employed!

The true solution is to get out of NAFTA and GATT!

No North American Union under any circumstances!

    Save the American economy!

    Sincerely,

It is time to turn the heat up and hold their feet to the fire.

When they all repeat the same b*llsh*t, especially the b*llsh*t you’ve already heard on 24, it just makes them look dumber each time they post it and it’s debunked.

They only seem dumber, because only the really dumb ones (Jake) never learn when corrected. Poor pathetic little child claims to have been military intelligence, but he’s got the intelligence of someone that Starbucks hires on their ‘outreach’ for ’special-needs’ individuals!

  72. JPark says:

#69 He could have a borderline personality. In that case he is here for the attention (that would explain why, with his beliefs, he is not at Red State). If we ignored him he would probably have a huge blowup and then we would never see him again.

  73. Zooey says:

When Jake first showed up here, he was fairly gentlemanly and coherent — it was as if he was having a great time making fun of us. I think he really is 75 years old. Then he was outed as a plagarizer regarding his alleged military service. Since then, he’s steadily gone downhill. He claims to have a wife, but he spends entire days on TP. It’s possible she’s ill, and he’s losing it. He likely is a veteran, but he chose to steal someone else’s record, rather than provide his own. That’s a seriously nutty thing to do.

I’m not feeling sorry for him, or trying to make anyone else feel sorry for him. He’s a truly sick individual.

I’m just explaining why I think he’s 75, and is in the beginning stages of dementia.

  84. veritas says:

Rove just outed himself in saying that he deleted the emails because he assumed that they were being preserved by the RNC – “the blame game” has just indicted him on this one. If, in fact, he believed that they SHOULD BE preserved in accordance with the Presidential Records Act and was so concerned as to assume that RNC was archiving them, then, clearly, he thought them to be “official business” and NOT “political”; otherwise, if he assumed they were “political” in nature, he wouldn’t care if the RNC was archiving them, would he?

Just like Kyle Sampson who believed he had to come up with a reason for firing the attorneys, this statement will indict Rove finally.

As for Kyle Sampson, he’s a perjurer and needs to be prosecuted for his perjury. Obviously, Bush has decided to “throw Sampson under the bus”. That’s what his lock-step allegiance and blind, unfounded faith gets him – good!

  85. veritas says:

Giving any credence or respect to a psychiatrically compromised sociopath like our village idiot troll, Jake, only allows his sickness to grow exponentially. He suffers from a severe psychiatric disorder surrounding his necrotic ego where the universe revolves around him. He’s quarantined emotionally and lives within a bubble of delusion. He probably lives in a hovel but owns a computer and sits online in the hope that someone will come along and help make him feel relevant. He’s the village idiot in the sense that he has very limited intelligence, a miniscule amount of factual knowledge, absolutely no ability to logically parse things out, clearly was brainwashed somewhere along the way, and continues to attempt to pontificate here on the threads when he is so obviously isolated, pathological, and ill-informed.

For some reason, he enjoys sitting on TP threads for the major part of each day – the reason is that he has absolutely NO life. His closet-like existence is validated through dialogue with others who do have a life and a passion for life. He has neither.

Each time he is engaged by a poster (other than those he posts himself under a variety of screen names) the vitality of transference surges through his veins as he is brought to life artificially via one of us who live vital, productive lives. He’s a pariah. He’s a parasite who feeds on the lifeblood of others in order to facilitate any semblance of “life” for himself.

My background tells me that Jake was abused as a child – by his mother and beaten by his father. In fact, I’d venture to guess that his multiple personalities developed as a result of being kept locked in some very small space as a child (closet comes to mind) because he was considered to be unpresentable physically to the world by his own parents. Physically handicapped also comes to mind. He was derided by his peers and suffers a severe persecution complex now as an adult. His only sense of “self” becomes vital on these threads where he can live vicariously through each of us who bring him life when we dialogue with him.

He cannot be saved; he cannot be helped. His pathology is deeply entrenched. He is neither 75 nor has a military background, that’s patently clear.

Tread carefully because I suspect that we are not dealing with one who’s playing with a full deck of cards here.

  86. whiteyfresh says:

    wow veritas…
impressive posts. Can I get some of your coffee?
    :)

  87. veritas says:

Hi Whitey! I see many like Jake in my practice so I am not tempted, in the least, to either identify with him or dialogue directly with him. Everyone who weighed in is accurate – he’s a seriously deluded fraud who revitalizes his mental illness via these threads. Essentially, it enables him to “come alive” and to feel, perhaps for the first time in his life, that he is relevant and has something to say. I perceive that in Jake’s life, absolutely NO ONE ever listened to him or gave him any support emotionally.

  88. veritas says:

Not that I am suggesting that one who intentionally exacerbates an otherwise legitimate, logical discussion with pure drivel – quite the contrary. Everyone has probably noticed that his “insecurity complex” shows itself in his continuous taunts to “ask him a question and he will answer if not on the list”. He’s been depressed for a very long time, ostracized by his peer group and society in general and only identifies with the neocon ideology because he perceives them as the ones in power; thus, like the true identity-less parasite whom he is, illegitimately identifies himself with those in power. He is powerless over his life which is clear. He attempts to use the blogs to activate his flagging libido and his personal impotence over his world.

  89. GSD says:

    Smells like rotten Turdblossom.

Rove will be kept on by Bush until the bitter end. They are both trashing what is left of the Republican Party because they are co-dependants and can’t live without each other.

If the Republican Party had a brain, if, they would have Bush drum Rove into the hinterlands before they reduced to winning a few dog catcher’s jobs in Old Dixieland.

Rove is a criminal, so he must be indicted, and removed from power!

  96. Andymatic » Blog Archive » More Rove Fingerprints on Attorney Purge says:

[...] Think Progress The plan to fire all 93 U.S. attorneys originated with political adviser Karl Rove. It was seen as a way to get political cover for firing the small number of U.S. attorneys the White House actually wanted to get rid of. [...]
