The profoundly tragic events at Virginia Tech yesterday have produced sorrow and grief across the country. While this massacre deserves the nation’s attention, it is also worth noting that such grief rips apart Iraqi lives nearly every day in the same manner.
University of Michigan Professor Juan Cole pointed out last night on PBS’s Newshour:
Remember that we’re all concerned, as we should be, about these events at Virginia Tech today. In Iraq this is a daily event. Imagine how horrible it would be if this kind of massacre were occurring every single day. And the people of Iraq feel that either the Americans are not stopping it or they’re actually causing it.
Watch it:
Echoing Cole, Iraq Slogger published a post today recounting the brutal scenes of violence that Iraq’s universities have witnessed in recent months:
On Monday, the same day as the Virginia Tech mass shooting, two separate shooting incidents struck Mosul University, one killing Dr. Talal Younis al-Jelili, the dean of the college of Political Science as he walked through the university gate, and another killing Dr. Jaafar Hassan Sadeq, a professor from the Faculty of Arts at the school, who was targeted in front of his home in the al-Kifaat area, according to Aswat al-Iraq.
In January, Baghdad’s Mustansiriya University sufferred a double suicide bombing in January that killed at least 70 people, including students, faculty, and staff. A month later, another suicide bomber struck at Mustansiriya, killing 40.
Kidnappings of students and faculty are another all-too-common occurrence on Iraq’s campuses. Members of the univerisity community have been abducted and murdered for sectarian reasons, or simply held for ransom. […]
In January, students reported that violent events had threatened students that attendance rates at Baghdad University had dropped to six percent.
Earlier this month, the Dr. Qais Jawad al-Azzawi, head of the Geneva-based Committee International Committee of Solidarity with Iraqi Professors said that 232 university professors were killed and 56 were reported missing in Iraq, while more than 3,000 others had left the country after the 2003 invasion.
Unfortunately, this is correct. In Iraq right now, 33 dead qualifies as a good day.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:01 pmA little too much reality for Americans to face…
April 17th, 2007 at 4:02 pmWhy does Iraq have to be brought into everything. I’m ashamed.
People who don’t realize why this specifically is a story just don’t get it. The idea of something like this happening at a college campus, which is supposed to be a safe and open place of learning, is the story. Not the death itself.
While we’re at it, who cares about people dying in Iraq, since it happens even MORE often in Africa, where children are dying of starvation and disease every ten seconds or so. We can play this game all day.
All deaths are tragic. Thus struck a chord because it attacked a cherished American institution, college, which is now tied to the American dream. Those who don’t understand that are shortsighted.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:02 pmyour poor idiots on the extreme left………incredible that you would compare what happened yesterday at Virginia Tech to what is going on in Iraq…
only the low lives, the pathetic, the stupid, moronic, useless, worthless, idiots of the extreme left use the Virginia Tech incident to take a political stab at the President and those on the right.
the extreme left wing pathetic low live human beings are but the vomits of the Devil.
thinkprogress.org is disgusting and pathetic.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:03 pmWho cares about the people of Iraq, they attack us on 9/11 right?? Of course am kidding and this professor is dead on with his comment. We hate arabs so much thanks to Bush and company that we don’t even see them as human. Therefore, it’s okay if we kill their women and children.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:05 pmif we are going to use comparisons more people die in Americas highways than they do in Iraq.
An American soldier has a greater chance of dying driving from his American home to his American military base than he/she does serving in Iraq.
More people die of heart attacks per year in America than Iraqis die per year since 2003.
leave it to the left wing extremist to politicize the Virginia Tech tragedy.
you people are beyond help and quite disgusting.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:06 pmThis*** not thus for #3
April 17th, 2007 at 4:06 pmKirk,
This is not the extreme left. Go to PrisonPlanet for that.
Folks from the Neocon right have made center into extreme left. Reality and facts are extreme left to you.

You like disgusting and pathetic?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:07 pmClinton did it, too. So did Pelosi.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:08 pmThis blog itself isn’t extreme left, but some of the disgusting posters are.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:08 pmyou people are beyond help and quite disgusting.

So, again, what is the reason you keep posting here? If we are beyond your help, then what’s the point?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:08 pm“if you don’t like it then go away”

It’s very similar to the extremist right “America: Love it or Leave it” mentality.
TP- love it or leave it?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:09 pmwow, CK,did your dildo break or something? that’s even a little more vitriolic than usual for you…
April 17th, 2007 at 4:10 pmjoe and CK DO NOT want America to face the reality of Iraq. period. end of story.Anything that can done to show JUST HOW VIOLENT it is in Iraq scares them.Oh, and joe, I have had several good discussions with people that other dub ‘trolls’. If you actually say something intelligent, you might get intelligent responses:)
April 17th, 2007 at 4:14 pmIncredible that ANYONE, right or left would use this event for their political gain. Leave it to thinkprogress.org to put up the disgusting comments and bring up Iraq when such great tragedy strikes our great nations.
I wrote to the professor already….there is no comparison between Iraq and what happened yesterday you moronic fools, useful idiots, tools,, robots, parrots, mindless drones, can’t think fools of the extreme left.
stop trying to politicize this……
it was tragic what happened yesterday and Iraq and this can’t be compared.
f……..cking start thinking for yourselves you pathetic extreme left wing worms.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:14 pmThis isn’t a “Right or Left” issue. This is a human issue. All you have to do is listen to what the students were syaing. They were shocked that this happened on their campus but I wonder if they are shocked that it happens anywhere including Iraq. Am sure some of them are shocked but Iraqi college students see this everyday thanks to the Bush administration. And what was the of from the White House, “We believe in gun owrship”.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:14 pmDid I see Brian Williams of NBC last evening grilling a student from his limo? Maybe next he could interview an iraqi mother whos childs brains are still wet on her shirt. Sorry but the hipocracy im seeing on every news channel today is disgusting.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:15 pmJoe, that’s the point, you middling mind. This happens on IRAQI campuses all too frequently. Because of the botched situation brought about by administration hubris and poorplanning, people, students, children, the are ROUTINELY gunned down, blown up, tortured, etc.
But Americans, sheltered in the coccoon of iPods and American Idol rarely feel the horror.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:16 pmFortruth,
i post here just to let you know what a bunch of extreme left wing low live human beings you guys are…..
how can anyone take this and politicize it…..incredible, disgusting, and quite f….cked up. you have to be a true mindless tool to agree with anything said by this professor and not scold thinkprogress.org for posting this garbage.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:16 pmI saw a dirthead drivin a dump truck. He put a big ol sign on the back.

so your argument is that the deaths of Americans are more important to you then the deaths of Iraqis, or Africans, correct?
That to me is shortsighted.
By the way, if I remember correctly, students were killed at an Iraqi university some time ago, but was just a minute glib in the media.
I’m a chickenhawk neocon scumbag.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:17 pmVirginia Tech reports shooting (multiple)
April 17th, 2007 at 4:18 pm#16: You’re right, Kirk. There is no comparison between Iraq and what happened yesterday. The tragedy in Iraq is wholly due to Bush and the Neocons’ failed policies. VA Tech is a tragedy due to a deranged individual. Oh, and the Neocons’ deranged policy has led to hundreds of thousands of deaths.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:19 pmfrom Nathaniel Blake:
Something is clearly wrong with the men in our culture. Among the first rules of manliness are fighting bad guys and protecting others: in a word, courage. And not a one of the healthy young fellows in the classrooms seems to have done that. …

April 17th, 2007 at 4:20 pmI’ll help you with a letter to Missus Blake, mmmK?
Captain Kirk— Get accustomed to us extreme left wing low lives because . . . We’re the MAJORITY of Americans now, radicalized and politicized and just plain pissed off because of the delusional and demented Right.

April 17th, 2007 at 4:24 pmCaptain Kirk & joe have a difficult time with reality and analogy.
BTW Captain, thanks for letting us know we’re low lifes.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:24 pmRight back at ya…
re # 6
how many soldiers died over the weekend in car crashes here in the US? How many died in Iraq? You’re a right wing apologist and propogandist. Nobody here is making light of what happened in Blacksburg VA here. Cole, and some posters here have only pointed out that the grief and shock that is being felt here over the VT shootings is an ongoing experience for citizens of Iraq, and it is our fault. The fact that you and your wingnut brethern can’t feel compassion for people who don’t look like you is why we’re in this mess to beging with.

why don’t you imbeciles go to Virginia Tech and tell them how what happened there is comparable to what is going on in Iraq and then let me know how many bullet holes you mindless tools come back with.
only the pathetic, worthless, extreme left would use this tragic, sad, horrific event in order to push their extreme, wacked out agenda.
with each response to me, you imbeciles show what a bunch of low lives and what a bunch of disgusting human beings each one of you is……..
are you imbeciles, low lives so full of hate and so against Bush and the Iraq War that all you useful tools can do is bring up Iraq? you anti-Bush cult members, how sad for each one of you.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:24 pm#23 you idiot, there’s a reason why that’s just part of the sentence.
I care about anyone who dies, and I pointed out that every day, the human disaster in Africa is far worse than the one going on in Iraq. Not to say that Africa is more important than Iraq, but to show how your hypocritical arguments can be turned against you.
Not one person has responded to my point about Africa. Not one.
Iraq is a highly dangerous place and what’s going on there is tragic and awful. But what makes this news is that it went on at a supposedly safe and innocent place. No one would ever assume anywhere in Iraq to be innocent and safe, not even a college.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:25 pmCapt.kaka, like’s to come on our site and flip shit as usual…Well here you go you miserable lieing reich winged cabal lover…There is no comparason you stupid shit..First off these death’s at the college were caused by a demented individul in a small scale..Sad and terrible as they are there is no comparison what so ever to those of you and heir bush’s bunch of happy crap war monger’s that have killed. Man, dude, I hope you do get laid in your lifetime. satisfying orgasms with a partner will do wonders for your anger
April 17th, 2007 at 4:30 pm(by the way, your anger in typing matches the profile of the VT murderer….just saying)
When I first started to read comments where people were tying this event to Iraq wrt the tragic loss of, I too was a bit disgusted. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that tying this to Iraq isn’t really a politicization of a tragedy. In reality, its bringing close to home a series of tragedies that we set in motion years ago. I remember hearing about a university bombing in Iraq several weeks ago. At the time I thought nothing of it. The fact that the VT shootings have affected me so deeply while the university bombing in Iraq passed by without a notice makes me sick to my stomach. Maybe some of the ones who are being so defensive are the same ones that should take a good long look at their reaction to loss of l ife in general.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:30 pmSo the Cappin wants to use the words of Lenin. Now if you go caring picture’s of Chairman Mao, you’re not going to make it with anyone anyhow.

April 17th, 2007 at 4:32 pm#32,
You are a great American and your speech brought me to tears. Fortunately, I just happen to have a box of the “Sheets of Babylon” tissues from Kleenex. Each sheet is embossed with the death certificate of Iraqis murdered by us Americans.
Don’t worry, though, I still have 649,999 left.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:32 pmUseful idiot. Heh. That’s a good one, Cappy. And I suppose your poor spelling, grammar, syntax and muddled thinking are indicative of your superior mind?
Note to self: writing like a moron means I’m actually brilliant.
Ergo: Bush is really a secret Einstein.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:32 pmB.Fly,
are you stupid or do you just play one. First of all if Bush did this, as I said, right or left this is not the time to politicize this…..read before you make a complete idiot out of yourself, but being a useful idiot, as Lenin called his left wing followers, I am sure you are used to making a complete idiot out of yourself…….
second of all, who was Bush’s spokenman that came out to defend the 2nd amendment, as far as I have seen in all news it is the left wing anti-2nd amendment hate the Constitution morons the ones jumping on this incident to prove that guns are bad (as if guns had feelings).
only an useful idiot from the left would make such idiotic claims, you would fit right into Lenin’s communist fools.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:33 pmSure you do, Joe.
Comment by B.Fly — April 17, 2007 @ 4:30 pm
That was a really useful comment.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:33 pmI had Juan Cole as a professor at the University of Michigan, and he was a very good teacher. One of the most knowledgable people there is on the Middle East. But for all the yelling and name calling done by Kirk (maybe a code of conduct for blogs is an appropriate topic), I thuoght the exact same thing that Mr. Cole, in that every day this is a daily event in Iraq, and that this huge tragedy for us, happens every day over there. People are people, no matter if they are American or Iraqi, or black or white (this is like Katrina) in that those that are “left” bloggers seem to feel more for those that are less fortunate, while the “right” bloggers see things in a black and white/good and bad sort of way. All, Juan is saying is step back and if you have been trumpetting this war, realize that people in Iraq go through this kind of thing everyday and Bush’s administations policy is the cause of this. If killing and kidnappings and suicide bombs were going off in our campuses becasue Canada had invaded us for our betterment, trust me there would be a lot of people up in arms trying to get Canadians out. It forments hate for the person (country) that is supposed to be keeping security if they are unable.
Even though this is an American tragedy, there should be some in the “right” crowd that should take a step back and realize that this is how Iraqis feel every day, and that the plan the current administration has been employing is flawed and maybe its time to stop being cheerleaders and start thinking for yourself what our great invasion has wreaked on people in a distant land.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:34 pmonly an useful idiot from the left would make such idiotic claims, you would fit right into Lenin’s communist fools.
Comment by Captain Kirk
You’re making some pretty idiotic claims yourself, Captain.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:35 pmStill, nobody has addressed my point, which, is, simply stated:
You all seem to argue that the SCOPE of the tragedy is what makes something important, which is why thinking about VTech instead of Iraq is wrong. So would it be right to say, the African human disaster is worse than the Iraqi human disaster, so we should only be worried about that, not Iraq?
Both are logically flawed…
April 17th, 2007 at 4:36 pmCaptain Kirk, you are the person who can’t handle the truth and it’s obvious to everyone in the world but you. I suggest you seek counseling and specifically ask for some anti-psychotic drugs. Please come back in another ten years and let us know how you’re doing.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:37 pmCaptain Kirk: do you have anything of substance to add to your ramblings, or do you just plan to spout “low lives” on and on until mommy tells you it’s time for dinner?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:38 pmFirst of all if Bush did this, as I said, right or left this is not the time to politicize this…..
Still can’t believe he’d do it eh? Believe it.
Is that all you know? Lenin died a very long time ago; quit living in the past, and deal with reality. And being called a useful idiot by a useless one is a compliment, I guess.
That was a really useful comment
I don’t live to be useful to you, Joe. Prove you work for Oxfam, or admit you’re lying. Joe
April 17th, 2007 at 4:38 pmHow disgusting. These 33 were AMERCIAN lives. Do this man hate his country?

No, you are logically flawed. Did we start a war in Darfur, over bogus reasons? Man, logic really isn’t your strong suit, is it?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:41 pmBut no one human tragedy is ‘more important to me’ than any other.

which was preceded by this statement
Why does Iraq have to be brought into everything. I’m ashamed.
So then why are you ashamed of Iraqi’s (and our soldiers) deaths? I mean, no one human tragedy is more important than any other, right?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:42 pmSo why be ashamed?
By the why, calling me an idiot is quite childish, and makes you seem more like Captain Kirkoff than an intelligent debater
Yes, and when 9/11 reminded us that we could at any moment be killed for no reason by angry, violent young men, in places like the South Side of Chicago they were thinking, “That’s how we live every day.” That fact didn’t prevent us from treating 9/11 like the dress rehearsal for the Apocalypse.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:42 pmVA Tech: 32 students needless die at the hands of a madman.
Iraq War: 3,300 U.S. troops and 55,000+ Iraqi civilians needlessly die in pursuit of the failed policies of a madman.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:43 pmWhat kind of ‘proof’ do you want? I’m actually laughing out loud as I read your last post. I’ve done more volunteer work for Oxfam and Amnesty Intl than I can even begin to recount, and I’m right now working on organizing a pretty major charity event on my college campus to raise money for AIDS treatments in Africa. What do you want, pictures of me writing down plans? hahaha
April 17th, 2007 at 4:43 pmwait, I thought you extreme left wing wackos, useful iditos as lenin called his left wing followers, loved the Constitution…..so, wouldn’t you be happy that Bush defended the 2nd Amendment?
Because he trashes the rest of the constitution.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:44 pmfirehead….
these pathetic, useful tools, robots, parrots, mindless drones from the left can’t understand why any one of us would be a lot more sad, and a lot more outraged over the death of our son than over the death of our neighbors son……..
these idiots actually went after me yesterday for saying that the life of my son of any one member of my family is worth a lot more to me than that of a stranger.
they are hopeless, I just come in here, laugh at their stupidity, throw a few truths at them to see how like rats they run and eat it up and get them all riled up. these left wing nuts are quite easy to control.
these poor saps are one sad joke…….
April 17th, 2007 at 4:44 pmBy “human” Joe means white people who are Americans.
Or else he would have been saddened several times over when hearing about, or seeing the pictures of dead Iraqi children with holes in their heads. Haditha ring a bell?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:45 pmThe policies of the western world, as led by America, including unfair trade practices and colonialism, have caused many of the problems in Africa and other 3rd world nations today. Two can play this game.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:45 pmActually, you have no idea if that is true. The shooter was South Korean and he is one of the 33 dead.
So, you would at least have to say:
These 32 were AMERCIAN lives and one was South Korean.
Now, how many of the other ones are on student visas?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:45 pmHow disgusting. These 33 were AMERCIAN lives. Do this man hate his country?
Figure he does like you libs. STFU
Comment by firehead
Since the lives lost at VT were American lives, that makes them so much more important than students being slaughtered everyday in Iraq.
Is that what you’re saying, pissant?
VT is a horrible and shocking tragedy — the same sort of tragedy that happens almost everyday in Iraq. Why do you and your trollie friends have trouble understanding that?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:46 pmGood job Joe, are you securing a place with the Lord?
April 17th, 2007 at 4:46 pm“Brraaack, does he hate this country, Brraaackkk, shut you libs, brraaack!”
Firehead, you makes as much sense as a retarded parrot.
“STFU, brraaack!”

That’s right because at VT today everything is quiet and the President is giving nice speeches.
And in Iraq the killing goes on.
Who are you calling names you *PUSS-FILLED, SHIT THROWING, NEOCON NAZI AIRBAG*?
Oh and Captain Jerk, we’re still waiting for that proof of military service you lied about.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:48 pmIn my hometown, Boston, it seems like every week someone is senselessly murdered. Every few months is the equivalent of VT. It’s tragic and we should be doing all we can to stop it from happening. But because it’s happening in inner-city neighborhoods, it’s not the ’sudden shock’ to society that this was. That’s why it’s a story, people. Get with the program.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:48 pmThere are a lot of hurting people right now who don’t want to hear this, and there are a lot of ignorant people who don’t generally want to hear anything at all.
In the middle are people who can handle their emotions and the logic, and for them I am glad that someone had the courage to add this to the national debate.

Comparing the shootings in America to the shootings in Iraq is just one train of thought in this entire mess.
It certainly is not like the first and only thing the left has ever said about this since the news broke is that it’s like the shootings in Iraq.
Professor Cole is simply bringing another view to the table. And it’s perfectly reasonable to do so - though some may wish he waited a bit later to say it, so people can grieve without the burden of worrying about the war at the same time.
When something like this happens, there are MANY conversations, many discussion, many questions and comparisons that may come out of this. And I see no reason why one of those thoughts shouldn’t be the comparison of this to shootings in other countries.
I DO remember at some point after September 11th (I’m talking about in the year 2001) when people mentioned that the events we faced that day, are in a way like what the Iraqis are facing. While there are no planes hitting buildings, there are bombs from planes hitting buildings.
I don’t remember as much outrage from those comparisons. Maybe it’s because I have a bad memory, or maybe the comparison was just brought up not right away. There was time for people to grieve before the questions were asked.

If you’d get away from three seconds from your nutjob LOOK AT ME, I’M EDGY, I HATE THE PRESIDENT AND THINK THAT EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD THAT HAPPENS IS THE FAULT OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION viewpoint, you’d be able to look at things clearly and you’ll be happier because of it.
I saw people on the initial VaTech thread blaming the end of the assault weapons ban for the shooting, and also people who seriously stated that they thought this was some sort of ’set up’ to distract attention from other things going on in the world. I mean, give me a break, those are sick, demented thoughts to have.

April 17th, 2007 at 5:02 pmJust an interesting observation:
A friend of mine was wearing a shirt yesterday that said “Baghdad University” across the back (he served with the Air Force in OIF, 2005). Anyway, he was near the University of Utah eating at a Wendy’s and a youg female student, mid-20’s walked up. She immediately said “Wow, did you study there?” When he looked at her rather puzzled, she pointed to his shirt and said, “Isn’t that in Europe?” He explained to her that Baghdad is the capital of Iraq. She responded with, “Is that where that war was?” He then took the time to explain to her that yes, that is where the war was and that it is still going on. She couldn’t believe it, and asked him when it was supposed to end. Anyway, he continued making small talk, she was quite cute, and ended out asking her what her major is at the University of Utah - “History”

April 17th, 2007 at 5:04 pmMr. Cole is making a valid point. What happened yesterday shouldn’t happen ANYWHERE … not here, not in Iraq, not ANYWHERE.
I’ve always had a problem with people who value one person’s life (or death) over another’s.
The students and professors at VA Tech were innocent bystanders. The people of Iraq are TOO and they’re being slaughtered at an alarming rate everyday because WE’RE there. How many Iraqi students have you mourned over in the past 4 years? Aren’t their lives worth it? If not, why the hell are we there anyway?
Don’t you people get that? ALL life is precious; ALL death is tragic.

April 17th, 2007 at 5:06 pmWhy do right-wingers believe that American’s lives are worth so much more than are Iraqi’s lives? Is this what the right-winger’s God teaches them? The events yesterday at Virginia Tech were horrible and so are the events that happen every day in Iraq. Maybe yesterday’s violence was a little too close to home for those who don’t give a shit about Iraqi’s lives. Remember, George Bush’s goal is to have violence over there so we don’t have to have violence over here. Good luck with that.
April 17th, 2007 at 5:06 pm#118 — what a sad, sad story. Unfortunately that’s a far too common one nowadays. Civic education in this country is a joke.

Wouldn’t a little more context be a good thing for Americans to have?

Yet if the US cannot swallow its pride and stop the wide avaliablity of guns then these people would have died in vain.

Many of you are apparently not familiar with the US constitution. Although I agree with many of you that the 2nd amendment is archaic and obsolete (surely, you Brits can relate), it is part of the constitution. An amendment to the constitution requires a 2/3 super-majority in the house, and the ratification of 3/4 of the states. Under similar constraints, you would not have been able to tighten up your gun laws either. Talk of human life vs gun rights is self righteous bile.

April 17th, 2007 at 5:19 pmCaptain Kirk,
What you interpret as political opportunism by the left could and should be given a very different, positive interpretation. Pretend for a moment that you have an interest in the truth, not just in bashing the left, and ask yourself whether there are any parallels, analogies or similarities between Iraq and the tragedy in Virginia. Try stepping back from your emotions and ideology just enough to use your mind to analyze the two situations. It’s conceivable that you might learn something.
What Prof. Cole and many on TP responding to your vitriolic, personal attacks are claiming is that there are deep, highly instructive parallels here. Try asking yourself what his thinking might be. Try listening to others. You post here on a regular basis and, presumably, you do it not because you’re selfish and egocentric, but because you believe you have something worthwhile to contribute. I suggest that you listen to others in the same spirit and try to learn from them.

You are too funny for words, so tell us, who sends you here to do your POLITICAL work. And when they told you to come here but not to be too political today you thought they meant progressive but not you.
The sad thing is you think you’re scary but you’re just an impotent little weasel without enough intelligence to drive home a point. Except the one on your head up your ass. And that is one funny visual, neotard.

April 17th, 2007 at 5:27 pmTobey Tall,
what happened yesterday has nothing to do with gun control, if you were better informed you woulnd’t listen to the crap that the BBC spews….
did you know that in Israel the Palestinans started attacking schools and universities in the 1970s. Israel promptly armed professors and created patrols that were led by students and parents and the Palestinians quickly ended their attacks on schools and universities?
