The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports on some of Tommy Thompson’s other bone-headed remarks yesterday: “During the speech, Thompson also called himself the governor of the first state to buy ‘Jewish bonds’ — presumably meaning Israel Bonds — and said his friend who persuaded him to buy the bonds was also a big supporter of the ‘Jewish Defense League’ — probably meaning the Anti-Defamation League, not the militant group.”
Apparently, Thompson didn’t need the Bush “Kiss of Death” in order for his campaign to implode.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:01 amThompson sounds like that idiot Congressman from Seattle, Jihad Jim McDermott.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:02 amHey, some of my best friends are of the Jew religion!
April 17th, 2007 at 11:04 amWhile not widely publicized (seems repugs get a free pass) Tommy Thompson is a heavy drinker, frequently appearing in Wisconsin slurring his words and talking like a jerk. He also has a sham marriage and uses his position of power to pick up women, prefering African American.
It has always been said that if Tommy becomes a legit national candidate, the skeletons will start coming out of the closet, however, he has been protected by the MSM to day. It is said that there was a great deal of corruption under his administration – especially involving insiders buying and selling land to take advantage of public works projects and highway construction.
Of course, when the fundamentalist christians find out that he is a PROPONENT FOR PLACING RFID CHIPS IN EVERYONE they are likely to shun his candidacy because this can be interpreted as part of Satans return to earth (Revelations) and the end of the world.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:06 amWhat? He didn’t mention that he onced had a part in Fiddler On The Roof?
April 17th, 2007 at 11:07 amThis dude needs a finishing school – the stupid freekin’ redneck, backwoods, dipshit.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:08 amWe can assume that TT will now be a Repug Favorite Son. Will represent the 29%ers SOOOO well!!
The state of Wisconsin must be VERY proud, indeed!
April 17th, 2007 at 11:12 amAnd this guy was a member of the Cabinet?
Oh yeah, it was Bush’s Cabinet…
April 17th, 2007 at 11:16 amCharlie @ 4 you seem to have a lot of faith in a group of people who claim to be pro-life but support the death penalty and the boy king’s muderous foreign adventures more than any other group of US citizens and claim to believe in the sanctity of marriage but support two thrice married serial adulterers for president.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:17 amNot the People’s Front of Judea?
Thompson’s a wanker and always has been. When I lived in Wisconsin, he implemented the “W2″ program which turned welfare into a slave labor source for corporations.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:23 amSay, Tommy… John McCain’s feeling a little lonely these days, maybe you could give him a call, cheer him up a little?
April 17th, 2007 at 11:29 amYou can forge bonds of comiseration, with so much in common to share….
This surpises me, because everytime I see Tommy Thompson,he’s trying to look and sound like Joe Lieberman.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:29 amCharlietuna – I’m no admirer of Tommy T., but my understanding is that he’s been on the wagon for quite awhile and is pursuing a more-or-less healthy lifestyle these days.
You do a disservice to drinkers everywhere when you blame Tommy’s foolish comments on immoderate consumption of alcohol.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:34 amThe Jewish Defense League, isn’t that people by assassins and the like?
Nice work Tommy.
Any guy that is working that hard has some serious issues.

April 17th, 2007 at 11:35 amthe stupid freekin’ redneck, backwoods, dipshit.
Comment by smafdy
Now, now smafdy. That’s an insult to all rednecks. Take it back now. We all know that rednecks are smarter than Tommy.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:37 amRepublican Political Implosion, it’s the latest fad among the asshat set.

April 17th, 2007 at 11:38 amSounds like Mr. Thompson is ready to continue Bush’s fine record of international diplomacy.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:39 amDid Borat write his speech?
April 17th, 2007 at 11:51 amOY!
April 17th, 2007 at 11:53 amThis is good. We have Biden. They have TThompson. They cancel each other out. I’m just happy they each imploded early, beating the rush.
Not sure who the match is for Tancredo.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:55 amHe also came out with a statement after the speech, saying if he gets in legal trouble for these comments, maybe he should get himself a Jew.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:57 amHey, maybe by “Jewish bonds” he meant the Tefillin. Was he wearing a “beanie” when he said this? Ah, it’s all great fun until somebody loses an eye. (Or credibility.)
April 17th, 2007 at 11:57 amOne doesn’t have to walk to schuel to appreciate the culture deafness of Mr. Thompson. A banned fraternity has more.
April 17th, 2007 at 12:00 pmJust heard Thompson plans on crashing Bar Mitzvahs this weekend looking for a new attorney, accountant, oy, and while he’s at it might as well find a doctor.
April 17th, 2007 at 12:11 pmobviously he was trying to pander, and obviously his ignorance shone. what a doofus
April 17th, 2007 at 12:20 pmI am from WI and Tommy Thompson ruined our state financially. He was Governor for 14 years. What the he** is he talking about Jewish Bonds?
Good riddance to bad rubbished.
I have to laugh he will never, never, never be President.
April 17th, 2007 at 12:24 pmIs Tommy Thompson trying to be on the same ticket with McCain…?!!
But wait, McCain might have already made up his mind about either Joe Lieberman or RUG LOVER Senator Graham.
April 17th, 2007 at 12:44 pmFirst Imus, Then McCain with his casual stroll in Iraq(wink, wink) then said he blame the media for being misquoted, now this fool. What Tommy Thompson will blame this on, gangster rap or better yet Mel Brooks since everybody is blaming their actions on anything else but themselves. IDIOTS!!!!!
