Let me be the first to say it:

    is that all???

  2. raynman says:

Gives you a nice warm comfortable feeling when the person who is charged with representing the nation in legal matters ‘can’t recall’ events, doesn’t it?

  3. Raven says:

They are going into round two, each Senator gets another whack at him.
Alberto is not doing to well………..

  5. raynman says:

    hey,

RNC robotroll must be malfunctioning… I got to post before he/she/it did…..

  6. Shane says:

I wonder how many times he said “I misspoke.”

  7. Badmoodman says:

The really pertinent number though is that he was asked 46 questions.

  8. Roger says:

Gonzales is such an arrogant, incompetent douche. The longer he clings to his job, the more stupid, sloppy and irresponsible the Bush administration appears.

Either way it’s bad for the (R) side. The brighter folks on that side realize that Gonzales is hurting their chances in ‘08 – which is one reason some of them want him gone.

  9. Anderson says:

    OT-
Specter veered away from the USA probe and began asking Gonzo questions related to the VT murders.

  10. Tobey Tall says:

Articles of Impeachment To Be Filed On Cheney

Looks like he’s reached his boiling point.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.

Kucinich has made ending the war in Iraq the central theme of his campaign. He has even taken aim at the leading Democratic presidential candidates in the field for their votes on authorizing the war.

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and “all civil Officers of the United States” for “treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Sources tell the Sleuth that in light of the mass killings at Virginia Tech Monday, Kucinich’s impeachment plans have been put on hold. There will be no action this week, they say………………………..

thinkprogress.org were your writers alive back during the Clinton era, you know 10 years ago?

Liberals praised Clinton for saying, “I do not recall…” over 200 times and now they whine about Gonzalez using the same tactic….

    hypocrites.

  12. Eric the Blue says:

Seems to me that Greasy Gonzales thinks that taking responsibility means to say “I take full responsibility” with no consequences. We should treat Greasy the way he treated the eight USAs. No, you don’t get a do over. Off with his head.
    Stop the Lies.

You are the hypocrite. You and your neocons bitched about Clinton not recalling and yet the silence is deafening when your neocon buddies do the same.
But, but, Clinton did it. Please come up with a better line. How about but, but, Reagon did it.
    Stop the Lies.

Ah, more Clinton Derangement Syndrome, from the lunatic wingnuts.

Sorry, SON, but you’ve confused Clinton with Ronuld RayGun! Then again, he did have Alzheimers, so he had a valid excuse for not remembering all of his own crimes.

  16. burro says:

45 per hour? Maybe 450 for the morning. I’m surprised he remembers his own name. Abu is ShrubCo distilled. He is a perfect essential example of their incompetent B.S.

Please pay no attention to this poster. It is one of the operatives we mentioned earlier. We believe it was relieved of its duties for habitually using now-discredited talking points like this one.

It does our side no favors.

    Thank you.

If you notice, the hearing and this thread is NOT about Clinton or the Clenis you are so obsessed with.

  19. raynman says:

Clinton ‘did not recall’ a blow job

Gonzales ‘did not recall’ undercutting the constitution.

Yeah, you’re right…. we are hypocrites.

  20. David K. says:

    Time to leave, Fredo….

  21. j.j. says:

    Valiant,

not much of a historian are you, but you are certainly full of hate.

  22. Bush Eater says:

We need government workers who have something of a memory, you know, because the job they do is so important. Lay off the weed there buddy and maybe you’d remember something.

    Gonzo:
“I accept full responsibility for whatever happened that wasn’t improper and which I have no recollection of”

  27. Mr. Bush Goes To Hell says:

#21 I see no “hate” coming from the poster.

Reagan said “I cannot recall” a multitude of times, and John Pointdexter, KNOWN to have a PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY,

said it 63 times on the stand.

Iran/Contra was TREASON, just as Bush’s WAR CRIMES now are TREASON.

As is exposing a CIA OPERATIVE.

See you in hell jj (cause I’LL be THERE),

    Mr. Bush
    MURDEROUS WAR CRIMINAL
COXUCKER PUNK TRAITOR TO THE USA (TM)

  28. Art says:

I guess all that practice over the past few weeks paid off.

  29. seth says:

j.j., you dick- that was about a personal, private matter in regards to Clinton. This is about the politicization of the Justice Dept. which is ILLEGAL.

  30. Angry One says:

In his prepared statement alone, Gonzales used the expression “I recall” or “I do not recall” 14 times.

    For more background, see:
    “Gonzales’ Sgt. Schultz Defense.”

  31. QUALAR says:

It was unbelievable to hear Gonzales say that he did not remember Bush ordering him to fire a District Attorney. Bullshit. That’s like me saying that I don’t recall stating “I do” at my damn wedding. Both would have been a significant emotional experience and gives the appearance that Bush did exactly that. Being unable to respond definitively doesn’t bode well for the White House.

  32. Raven says:

    “I know noooothing… NOTHING!”

  33. Raven says:

Senator Schumer just stated Gonzales has not passed the burden of proof, and for the good of the Department, and the country, he should step down.

  34. Chris L says:

I make less than half the salary that Gonzales does. If my boss was talking to me, and I said “I don’t recall” that many times about information of such importance, I would be instantly fired.

  36. Raven says:

Specter just stated he believes it’s up to Alberto and George to decide whether he should stay or go…….passed on making his own call. Chickenshick.

    George? George? You there George?

Obviously you don’t recall Reagan starting the whole trend over Iran/Contra. And look up those figures instead of making them up over Clinton.
45 was the times Gonzalez said it after an hour and a half, I’m sure it’s way up now.

Are you proud of your Republican party or are you paying your debt trolling here, loser.

Here to post more misinformation, unsubstantiated smears and lies, while accusing others of hate – you poor, poor, st*pid little liar.

  40. Saywho says:

Its funny in a way that someone would count how many times some bozo says something. The lady yells at the end 74 times…

He is not going to resign so… the USA is in DEEP trouble.

  41. Saywho says:

Schumer, “The arrow points more and more to the WH!”

  42. Raven says:

I can imagine how Alberto feels about now,
about like the morning after eating 3 plates of tamales with red AND green chili…

  43. devin says:

Gonzo, stick a fork in yourself: you’re done.

  44. impeachcheneythenbush says:

If Gonzales won’t resign and Bush won’t force him to, the Congress can use its impeachment powers. It applies to ALL civil officers, and that would include cabinet members such as Gonzales.

  45. WaltTheMan says:

The AG’s performance today gives me an idea on a new candidate for the World’s shortest book:
“I Do Not Recall, A Personal Memoir by Alberto Gonzales”.

  46. tom baker says:

Is that greater than or equal to the number of times the gipper (who, in hindsight at least had a medical excuse) claimed it during the Iran Contra hearings?

  47. katy says:

    heard on rachel maddow -
a protester held up a sign counting each time -
she got up to 74 !!! … hope there is video of that…

  48. Uncle Ho says:

for the last few weeks, Gonzo has been prepping for his testimony getting coached to say “I can’t remember” and has the full confidence of Bush. Talk about failing upwards.
