“Two Bush administration officials who have been linked in scandal are now linked in wedlock.” Former Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles and former Justice Department lawyer Sue Ellen Wooldridge “were married March 26, three days after Griles pleaded guilty to lying to Congress” about his relationship with Jack Abramoff. “Legal experts note that people can refuse to testify against their spouses, and that in some cases, people can prevent their spouse from testifying against them.”
I wish for the lovely couple all the happiness and joy they deserve.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:07 pmProbably going to try and hide behind his new bride, like some other Do-Little congressmen.

I thought that was closeted homosexual love.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:25 pmMore inbreeding in the Bush Crime Family…
April 19th, 2007 at 10:28 pmLast I checked, spousal privilege will depend on whether it is a state or a federal trial.
It could, in some cases, include confidential communications made before marriage. And, yes, in some cases, one spouse can prevent the other from testifying. It’s too fact and forum specific for me to go into any more detail than this.

Daryll there’s just something about you that makes me want to heave my guts up. I think it’s hypocrisy.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:45 pmAnd I’m sure they are against same sex marriage.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:46 pmWhatever they are both alike, so they should get a cell together in prison.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:50 pm…and they’re related how?

Hi Daryll,
This thread is about heterosexual “love,” not the sinning homos.

BTW, wouldn’t it be a terrible mockery of god’s beautiful path, if these two got married simply to subvert the law?

Daryll thinks it’s not a sin as long as they follow a Republican agenda. Party trumps country and god to neocons.
April 19th, 2007 at 11:05 pmShane,
That wasn’t Daryll. It’s waaay past his bedtime. :D

April 20th, 2007 at 12:02 amGOP Christian values. Next Bush will marry Rove so he wont have to testify.
April 20th, 2007 at 12:13 amGonzo is hosed and Libby is going to jail.
This crap never ceases to amaze me. Whats next is Bush jr going to marry Rove?
April 20th, 2007 at 2:01 amYeah Cheney and Rove would make a lovely couple, two pigs in a blanket.. too bad for them they’ve come down so hard on gay marriage…
April 20th, 2007 at 3:15 amA lying, deceitful, husband sounds like good marriage material. I wonder about their marriage vows? “In sickness and health I’ll be there for you, Sweetie.” Sure! “Sweetie, my marriage vows are as good as gold. Sure! “Sweetie, you can trust me.” Sure!
I hope these PARTNERS IN CRIME were married in Vegas with a picture of Elvis hanging somewhere in the wedding chapel. You deserve the best.
No doubt a multimillionaire fundamentalist preacher married them. No doubt Monica Goodling was a “MADE” OF HONOR. Yeah, she’s a “MADE” OF HONOR ALL RIGHT.

April 20th, 2007 at 6:30 amDid they get this idea from the Sopranos? Adriana sees it on teevee and pushes Christopher to marry her so she won’t have to sing to the FBI any more. Didn’t turn out too well for her.
April 20th, 2007 at 8:07 amI did think that the perfect match was Sue Ellen/J.R.
April 20th, 2007 at 8:48 amcrooked love born of crooked values.
April 20th, 2007 at 8:58 amThey pulled a couple of drunks off the corner as witnesses, and gave them ear plugs, that they couldn’t hear:
April 20th, 2007 at 10:49 am“Is there anyone here who objects to these two being married?
Speak now or forever hold your peace………….”
Well doesnt that law only help those who were married at the time of the crime, or can they just refuse anyway and still get away with it? KILL EM ALL!
April 20th, 2007 at 4:05 pmFrom the frying pan into the fire… LOL! They deserve each other!
