This proves that Bush doesn't know what the rest of his "team" are saying. Cheney very publicly denounced Pelosi's trip to Syria in his appearance on Rush Limbaugh's show! I'm thinking the occupant of the White House is needing medication....he's losing it!

Bush's insanity is beginning to escalate. I hope there is someone in the White House keeping an eye on boy Bush's trigger finger... we don't want any unexpected mushroom clouds.

Seems that Bush II is following the dictum of Joseph Goebells(the Nazi War Propaganda Minister)which is "if a person lies over and over again, it will eventually become the truth."

When Bush flees the country will he still get Secret Service protection?

Comment by Shane — April 20, 2007 @ 10:28 am

That's a good question. I'm thinking that they'll keep a permanent residency here for appearances and, if so, it may be that they'll be technically entitled to secret service protection in Paraguay?

Of course, with all of their moolah, there's always Blackwater...

It's ok Mr. Bush. We aren't listening to you and your Republic friends any longer. I'm quite sure that the American public gets it about Pelosi. They know that she did nothing wrong and by constantly criticizing her for doing something that there Republic brethren did just makes them out to be a bunch of whiny kids. If I was a Republic running for office in 2008 I would be very worried. It's going to be a well deserved bloodbath for the Republics.

Bush is dingbat crazy, evidence of all those drugs he ingested, drugs that scrambled and fried his brains like eggs!

See this:http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/04/03/news/pelosi.php

In which, you'll find this:
<b>President George W. Bush criticized Pelosi's visit on Tuesday during a wide-ranging news conference at the White House. He said the visit sent "mixed signals" that "lead the Assad government to believe they are part of the mainstream of the international community, when in fact they are a state sponsor of terror."</b>

The title of the news article is: "Bush Assails Pelosi's Trip to Syria"!

Three possibilities: one, this is a problem of the President's inability to tell the truth. Two, it's a problem of the President's reluctance to take responsibility for anything he's done that might have consequences. Three, Pelosi is lying, and the President never said that.

Given what is known about the last six years, I think (three) is the least likely by a long shot.

I'm going with (two).

<em>And he has actually compared himself to Harry Truman, if you can believe it.

Comment by loretta — April 20, 2007 @ 10:14 am</em>

Bush has also compared himself to Woodrow Wilson and Winston Churchill, though I doubt he could name even one of the former's Fourteen Points (or even what those are) or that he's even bothered to read anything by or about the latter.

The fact is that when it comes to any sort of substantive foreign or domestic policy, as far as this administration is concerned, there's just no there there.

Madame Speaker, the President looked you in the eye and talked to you like you were an idiot. In short, he dissed you. Could you now put impeachment back on the table?

And he has actually compared himself to Harry Truman, if you can believe it.
Obvious differences aside, George W. Bush will NEVER be able to go ANYWHERE in this country without being SURROUNDED by Secret Service.
I grew up in Independence Missouri, and have many memories of President and Mrs. Truman sitting in plain, unobstructed view on the front porch of their home most evenings with no evidence of a Secret Service agent around.
I doubt George Bush will enjoy the same.

I thought his recap of the Pelosi / Reid meeting Wed. afternoon displayed signs of Prozac or Zoloft usage.

He acted somewhat sedated, didn't have that usual cheerleader spunk & attitude and was even more disconnected than usual.

Anyone else notice the same?

I'm not saying this is a bad thing, mind you. I think he should be kept totally sedated for the next 20 months...
