“Two suicide car bombers attacked a police station Sunday in western Baghdad, killing at least 13 people and wounding 82, police said. … The blasts collapsed nearby buildings, smashing windows and burying at least four cars under piles of concrete. Metal roofs were peeled back by the force of the explosions. Pools of blood made red mud of a dusty driveway.”

See, I told, you we are winning!!! Vote for me, I’ll make sure we have more and more of this carnage!

April 22nd, 2007 at 9:50 amAnd once again, the libs cheer Iraqi and US troop deaths.
At least we know what side you’re on.
April 22nd, 2007 at 9:59 amI’d like to know where all those cars are coming from!
/sarc.
Priorities: Capture Baghdad. Topple the statue of Saddam. Hang Saddam. Get contract for Iraqi Oil.
Not priorities: Secure the munitions dumps all around the countryside. Protect the citizenry. Rebuild the infrastructure.
Solution? Build forts inside Baghdad. Level cities. Build walls around neighborhoods. Apply more pressure to get the Iraqi government to sign the oil contracts.
Not considered: U.N. Peacekeepers. Maybe after the oil contracts are signed, sealed and delivered.
April 22nd, 2007 at 10:04 amFirehead, only a disingenous person like you could take from this headline that the left somehow ‘cheer’ this. How are we supposed to deal with news like this? Ignore it?
No, your president was the one who ‘cheered’ as we bombed the hell out of Iraq as we went in to take it over. This is merely reporting on the REALITY of what’s going on over there.

no one’s cheering anybody’s death; i’m sorry you get mad when reality dents your make-believe worldview.
April 22nd, 2007 at 10:35 amp.s.–there weren’t any “u.s. troop deaths” in this attack, smartacus.
Obviously, he was wrong.

Or maybe, what he left unspoken was:
“I think they’re in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency…and the first throes, if you will, of the civil war.â€
