Sens. Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) called for the resignation of General Services Administrator chief Lurita Doan. They also released a letter addressed to Chief of Staff Josh Bolten, signed by 25 Senators, asking the White House to answer specific questions about whether inappropriate political activity may have taken place elsewhere in the Executive Branch. “The Executive Branch is not an extension of the Republican National Committee,” it reads, “nor of any political party. Those who treat it as such must be held accountable.”
What if Clinton behaved this way? They’d be calling for his head on a platter. Apparently the rules don’t apply when the GOP is in control…
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:18 pmI am going to go out on a limb here and guess that they will be told to go cheney off.
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:18 pm“I accept full responsibility for my actions but I will not accept any accountability or consequences.” – Any Republican

April 23rd, 2007 at 2:24 pmClinton, Carter, etc.
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:27 pmA full court press.
That’s what is needed, to expose the most likely sources of institutionalized corruption. Getting the goods on Doan might lead to an opening in the CIA/Cunningham/ Brent Wilkes/ VP office furnishings /bioscreening contract. Wouldn’t Doan or one of her flunkies at GSA been responsible for Ok’ing this contract?
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:28 pm“Clinton did it, too. So did Carter, Johnson, Kennedy, Truman, FDR, Wilson, Cleveland (twice), Buchanan, Pierce, Polk, Van Buren, and Jackson.” – The Troll Brigade
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:31 pmGo go gadget accountability!
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:37 pmI am sure Joe Lieberman got his hands on the memo and leaked it to Rove before the Democrats could send it.
Joe Lieberman, America hating mole.

April 23rd, 2007 at 2:40 pmAfter her disgraceful appearance two weeks ago, the whole nation saw what she is — she must leave her post.
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:41 pmGood for Dorgan and Wyden — the Repugs will feel punch drunk soon with all the investigations, calls for resignations — in other words — the results of OVERSIGHT that has been missing for six years.
Another one bites the dust. How many convicted felons does an Impeachment make?
April 23rd, 2007 at 2:41 pmIMPEACH!! NOW!!!!

Amen.
April 23rd, 2007 at 3:01 pmI for one am sick and tired of reading day after day about the Dems bringing up these individuals within the administration that have clearly broken laws and have reduced just about every major department within the Executive branch to political arms of the republican party.
We know they have and are continuing to break the laws of our country, we hear calls for resignations but NO ACTION. When is this going to change?
I am sure there are a lot of people out there that are tired of the lip service, we want to see subpeonas flying out of congress and when those fail want to see articles of impeachment drawn and acted upon.
April 23rd, 2007 at 3:38 pmA RAID seems in order…
…to get Bushiva and L’il Dick’s attention…
…too many criminals holed up in WH…
April 23rd, 2007 at 4:34 pmReally, isn’t it time to just RICO the whole damned Bush Admin/GOP?
I hear even Barney’s had enough of the Blunderer-In-Chief’s endless gibberish and I suspect the friggin’ dog’s answers would make more sense than W’s at this point.
