George and Dick “decided” to get us into this mess in the first place. George and Dick “decided” on a military strategy that allowed Iraq to degenerate into a civil war. For the past five years, George and Dick “decided” to ignore military and mid-eastern experts’ advice, as more than half a million people died. Quite frankly, the thought of trusting those two with any more “deciding” scares the hell out of me.

hey valiant methead.. please explain why having a certain amount of power makes an act wrong that would otherwise be ok?

and can you please explain exactly how much power its ok for an american politican who visits syria to have? and can you explain how you came to that determination? does the minority whip, in your eyes, have the lack of power necessary to make a trip to syria ok? if so, why or why not?

and I’m sure your going to equally condemn when newt went to countries behind clinton’s back and told governments to ignore him.

and uhm, your a lawyer, right..? then maybe can you explain exactly what pelosi has the power to do, that hobson doesnt? and how do those powers effect our relationship with syria? sure shes 3rd in line for the presidency, but would we ever get that lucky?

I have noticed the faux British English, which has also made me wonder if this troll is considerably older than he/she claims. I think there was a time when both versions of words like “neighbor” and “neighbour” were considered standard in American English, but over time the use of the extraneous “u” fell out of favor (or should we say “favour”?) in the USA; I know this was true at least by the 1980s.
I also just love the tranny’s hypocrisy in boasting about her/his private school education, while denigrating public school education but then turning around and calling Ivy League-educated people like myself (after 12 years of public school) “elitist.”

“ordinarr” was a typo, which, yes, I should have checked. But it’s funny to hear about spelling from you–the lawyerette who several times spelled common legal terms like “breach” as “breech”(SIC), “consensual” as “consentual” and also reverted to using the non-existent word “fulment” even after being told several times that the word–at least in English– is “foment.” But, of course, when I point this out, it becomes
“nitpicking” in your attempt to obfuscate that fact that you’ve been exposed as a phony.
And what do you think your so-called work at TP has been? You certainly have never converted anyone over to your way of “thinking ” (if it can be called that).

I never denied that the Speaker of the House has more power than an ordinarr member of Congress. But you have trouble understanding and/or admitting that there has hypocritically been no criticism of the Republicans who also went to Syria, including car thief Darrell Issa, whom you love to quote as a moral authority on fired USA Carol Lam.

Lorette – You’re absolutely correct!! Rep Hobsons’ constituents constitute people who have actually heard of the congressman. I would dare guess people in surrounding congressional districts have heard of Hobson. But at the risk of agreeing with me, you might want to cencede that Rep Hobsons’ words and actions carry a little less weight than the Speakette.

Who the hell heard of Rep Hobson (besides his loyal constituents) before Amanda dug this up (BTW, gooood digging, Amanda!) I think Speakette Pelosi might have a touch more influence than Congressman Hobsonâ€¦. Just a guessâ€¦

Dear Jane – What a NICE surprise!! When the Repubs stupidly went to Syria, I wrote they should be ASHSAMED of themseves on several threads. (Perhaps you missed those posts.) The specific point: Representative Hobsons’ words do not have quite the same effect – here or abroad – as Speakette Pelosi.
