Perhaps that’s precisely it: Bloch is taking action because he realizes that there is a movement afoot against his own criminal wrongdoings. The plot thickens by the moment, doesn’t it? I suggest that the Congress look into Bloch’s activities before this bogus investigation by a fox in the hen house even gets off the ground. Evidently, Bloch has little credibility himself and has only investigated very menial cases. Clearly, he’s not the guy for an unbiased investigation. This has “obstruction of justice” written all over it.

This is nothing more than “pure bush whitewash” and the people need to blow Bloch’s cover on this one. Nothing short of dismissal of Rove will appease the angry american public. Any attempt to whitewash or exonerate his ongoing criminal activities will be flatly rejected by the people and infuriate them into ousting EVERY last Republican out of office in 08. The GOP had better be plenty careful what it’s doing here. The american people are onto their tricks and will not tolerate much more from that group of thugs.

This is basically what I posted when the news first came out, i.e., this was a move to give Karl Rove a clean bill of health. That’s right, it didn’t pass the smell test so it would only be a matter of time before we learned what we now know. I am impressed that it took less than 1 day to expose this sham “investigation” for what it is.

I could be wrong but i think that a person can’t be charged with the same crime twice. If Bloch is forced to halt investigations half way through because of his own legal trouble, and someone does not immediately replace him, will the evidence entered into court against Rove still be binding?

In fact, this investigation will be quashed before it’s begun due to the overwhelming anger of the people toward the corruption of this administration. This investigation is “doomed to failure” from the outset because the “players” have already been identified. They shouldn’t even waste the effort on this one. Unfortunately, the american people have been burned one time too many and have a total “lack of confidence” in this administration as well as EVERY Bushie appointee. The criteria for selection has been outed and it’s clear that it has absolutely nothing to do with qualifications or experience. It’s strictly political and the ability to be one of their “fall guys” when/if caught. Their mantra is “do it until you get caught”. They have single-handedly destroyed everything this country has stood for, wiped their asses with our constitution, trampled our bill of rights and have destroyed our legal system….along with taking away by hacking our right to vote…perhaps our only “right” left in this flagging democracy.

It was their intent and plan to coup this democracy, that’s now becoming painfully clear….from 911 to the Iraq War (one dot connection) From the Iraq War to the Patriot Act (second connection)….to the dissolution of the rights of the people from illegal wiretapping and spying, to condoning torture (impeachable offense internationally)….when people remark about Bush’s obvious stupidity, while that may on some level be accurate (IQ wise), this was a cleverly and well-orchestrated “plot” whose genesis began in the presidency of Bush 41…..all one has to do is take the time to investigate on their own, read the data, and the evidence is absolutely incontrovertible now.

This democracy has been replaced by fascism with the corporations running our government, that’s acutely obvious. Our only hope is impeachment of this cavalier, corrupt, amoral administration! That’s it, folks….all the rest is already gone!

I smell cover-up too.
The Bushies know that Rove’s illegal political behavior is going to be investigated by Congress eventually, so they are “pre-empting” that investigation with a bogus one of their own which will allow them to claim the high road while at the same time they destroy all the evidence of Rove’s wrong doing.
At the end of the “cover-up” investigation, the only thing Rove will be found guily of will be a $5 dollar parking ticket.
