A preview of David Broder’s column tomorrow:

“How Harry Reid has joined Alberto Gonzales as exhibit A of ineptitude.” Apparently calling Reid a “bumbling” “embarrassment” wasn’t enough for Broder.

    Fair and balanced. (hahaha)

Broder is a right wing apologist. There is a poll taken today and 90% of the responents agree with Harry Reid. Maybe Mr. Broder is becoming senile in the latter portion of his illustrious career at the Wapo rag.

Give ‘em hell Harry! Screw Broder and the Reichwingnut failure cheerleaders. Bring the troops home.

  3. Your Conscience says:

The matastasized terminal idealogy looks painful as they writhe and nash their teeth. Broder seems stuck in the denial phase like the majority of beltway water carriers. Some never get to acceptance.

  4. Kryptik says:

Wow. Broder is really reaching on this one.

Reid said that the war was lost militarily.

Gonzales arranged the firing of several US Attorneys because they didn’t toe the line, had them replaced with loyal Bushies, had it covered up, lied about it, lied about lying about it, claimed he forgot, in the face of evidence that he did it again claimed that he forgot…and then pretty much insisted that there is no ‘there’ there.

Oh yeah. Reid is just as inept as Gonzales.

    Broder, you aged hack….

  6. JG says:

You have got to be kidding… I have never been so proud of Harry Reid. They are finally standing up and doing the right thing regardless of the mud being thrown at them from the Right. You can’t have it both ways. When the Dems don’t speak out, people call them wimps and spineless. When they speak out, put their money where their mouth it, and show strength and conviction people start blathering. Enough already.

Equating him with Gonzales?? You’ve got to be kidding me. I can’t stand Imhofe or Stevens and yet I wouldn’t even equate them with Gonzales..

  7. Fools on the Hill says:

David Broder also thought Clinton should resign. Perhaps it is Broder who should resign.

  8. JTitor says:

It all disinformation all the time. The party of “morality” can’t tell the truth if their lives depended upon it. The smarmy-oily machine is working overtime to get anything to take the focus off all the PedoCon corruption:

He is the common element in both cases. Heh.

  11. VerbalKint says:

Broder is doing his best to make a joke out of himself.

  12. JPark says:

Broder is a beltway a$$kisser. It doesn’t matter if his target is Dem or Rep, if they buck the “conventional wisdom” of Carville, et al. they are going to get both barrels from Broder’s little peashooter. He is a radical centrist.

  13. GaPeach103 says:

Pictured next to ineptitude in the dictionary: Bush. Cheney. Gonzales. Rumsfeld. Wolfowitz. Feith. Rice. Michael Brown. Chertoff. Ridge. Bernard Kerik. Ashcroft. Abramoff. Delay.

The Right can say “We’re Winning!”. That’s fine and dandy.
But if the Left says “We’ve Lost!”. Why, that’s incompetence, bumbling, disgraceful!
    Centrist? Not on your life.

  15. JPark says:

#14 Radical centrist is different than a moderate. They hate anything that doesn’t fall within their center-right world view. Washington insiders have a very narrow view and Broder, Friedman and Kline are the embodiment of this incredibly arrogant, insider view.

  16. Namtillaku says:

Funny, when I picture Jake, I see David Broder. They’re so alike in so many ways.

  17. ifthethunderdontgetya®©³² says:

Dave “teh Dean” Broder has spent his life sniffing inside the beltway farts, and declaring them to be fine wine.

  18. NatteringNabob says:

I am so glad the Democrats are finally ignoring these screeching, dipshit pundits who have no idea what the American public actually think. Give ‘em hell, Harry.

  19. kasinca says:

Broder has lost his freaking mind…maybe he should go to work at FAUX Noise Channel.

  20. kenoshaMarge says:

Broder is the embarassment. To his profession and to himself. He has the right to be as snarky as any other writer. What he does not have the right to do is lie. To lie in print and to lie repeatedly. He also needs to move on. We get that he doesn’t like Harry Reid. And we don’t care!

  21. trippin says:

I don’t entirely disagree with Broder, but for reasons that Broder would probably find reassuring. I give Reid some credit for his actions of late — the very actions that are drawing the ire from Broder’s ilk. But Broder is right in the sense that his leadership has been anything but stellar.

When push comes to shove and it’s time to pull out all the stops to end this occupation, will Reid have the nerve to do what’s necessary? And even if he had that resolve (which he doesn’t) could he pull it off with the rat boy Lieberman holding a gun to America’s temple? I seriously doubt it.

Setting Reid’s ineptness aside, there is no plan in either party to extricate us from this deadly embrace. That’s just the truth. The most aggressive actions are tantamount to indefinite occupation, versus the Bush trajectory of permanent occupation. Mission accomplished, Mr. President, mission accomplished.

Draft the rich. The occupation would be over in 48 hours.

  22. paul says:

God help the liberal journalist who characterizes the Democratic leader as embarrasing or inept. After 7 years of comparing Bush to Satan, Hitler; calling Bush an idiot, criminal, etc, etc, etc, and now crying about Broder; I think we have figured out that some of us need thicker skins.
