“Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, depicted the situation there as ‘exceedingly complex and very tough’ Thursday and said the U.S. effort might become more difficult before before it gets easier.”
Then we quit. When the going gets tough the left get going, to Okinawa. Comment by Patrick1 — April 26, 2007 @ 1:19 pm
Patrick1, how could we lose a civil war, we aren’t fighting again?
Poor little redneck, I hope you lay off your sister, otherwise, you’ll end up doing the same thing your dad did to his sister (your mom). R*t*ded Jake*ss.
Who are ‘the left’ Patrick1? Last time I looked, the left comprised 65%, or more, of the country. I doubt 200 million Americans are going to Okinawa – and what’s your point exactly?

Patrick, the Army recruiter called, and asked about you. I said,”mercy sakes; you don’t want to put a gun in that boy’s hand – he once shot himself in the foot with a slingshot…”
“…depicted the situation there as ‘exceedingly complex and very tough’…”
Seems to me I heard the same thing before from Herr Feld Marshal Baron Von Rumsfeld
When are these morons gonna see the light. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is lost. Time has come for a political solution that involves the regional powers.
While at it these war mongers should kiss the oil goodbye too ’cause they won’t get it. THe Iraqi’s will burn it before they give it away, like they did in Kuwait.
It is time for Washington DC to hear the thunder of the footsetps of millions of Americans decending upon the capitol to personally deliver the message that it refuses to hear.
ha ha ha. Exactly. They have to put another arm, cuz the kid didnt play. And that same boy, who is not retarded, was in Tim Burton´s Big Fish, as an adult, of course.
No shit sherlock. I thought he was supposed to go and say how much better things are getting. What happened to cause him to go off script? Is he actually telling the truth?
I always imagine Patrick1 like this. But without a Banjo.

Actually, Juan, the child in question is how I picture Jason Misogynist Hendler to be!
I was fortunate enough not to view his myspace photo, before he “privatized” it.
But dammit, I was able to view our anorexic, tobacco ladened, fantasy filled, schizophrenic lawyer.
If you get the chance, may I suggest…DON’T!!!
No one should be surprised at the comments of Patreus. It is the only thing he can say. The most recent tactic (the surge) is a failure because the STRATEGY of fighting an insurgency in the middle of a civil war is stupid, and unprecedented.
We are led by people who are asleep on the watch as disaster approaches (9/11), allow terror perps to re-group and fester by not finishing the job (Afghanistan), create disasters with an ill-conceived, foolishly fought war (Iran), and harms its own people when natural disasters strike (Katrina) by crippling government agencies like FEMA by putting partisan hacks into key jobs!
WE are in the ‘last throes” of a great America. Better get angry!
L=MD, did you watch CNN this morning? The 2 reporters who have been in Iraq for the entire war told us the truth about why Anbar province is in much better shape, and it is not because of American forces. Actually, our troops made a deal with the former Baathists in the region where, if our troops pulled out, the Baathists would restore the peace. Baathists are comprised of both Sunni and Shia and used to run the country before our invasion. They were described as being Iraq’s version of West Point graduates — professionals and educated.
So, yes, Anbar is a better place today, but it is because the American troops made a deal with the Baathists and then got out of town. I think there is a message here — let the Iraqis run their own country.
There is that pussy loser DRxJ. You never reponded in the other thread so I guess I should follow you. You asked for an example of Clinton being soft on Terrorists and said you would talk about it if backed up with links and facts.

Sure seems like it.
but just to entertain you, I asked for proof that he was soft on terror. You’ve provided a link to a group that wants independence for Puerto Rico.
Clinton took much criticism for that (to which I agree), but I challenged you, and you’ve ignored.
What terrorist acts did these released prisoners do since there pardon?
I need specific acts, and dates, with names.

Hey Petreus! No Shit!! That can always be said; in fact, it was said two years ago, wasn’t it and look what a pitiful state we find ourselves in today – some 2 years and thousands of deaths later! The fact is that this can ALWAYS be said when one has made as critical an error in judgment as this country has made. It will get worse and we’ve created a hellhole for the people of Iraq. The karmic payback to this country will never be repaid – however, two wrongs never made a right and never will. To say that we should remain there because if we leave, things will get worse is to say that the sun will rise and set. Of course, they will get worse right now if we leave and we get even more worse if we leave a year from now. The rationale of this thought process is ludicrous at best; totally criminal at worst.
Were are the brilliant military minds of this country? Do we have ANY left out there??
Yeah, dontcha love it: Bush doesn’t count people killed as car bombs as “people”. Amazing what a demented soul this man is.
Since he balances his budget this way (doesn’t count the cost of the Iraq War in it), I guess he thought he’d get away with this ridiculous charade! Wow! The level to which this man stoops is astounding to me.
