“The Jack Abramoff investigation continues to burst with renewed vigor. Now, it’s ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) — who was defeated back in November due in large part to his ties to Abramoff — who might be in trouble.” National Journal reports that “two sources say that the Justice Department is making new inquiries into Hayworth’s past links to Abramoff.”
I hope it’s an anal probe they’re using…
April 27th, 2007 at 2:39 pmMan, the GOP loves those law breakers. Keep up the good work and support of the Democratic take over in ‘08 GOP.
April 27th, 2007 at 2:40 pmYou are only as good as who you run with. Oh, wait we’re talking cowboys here, I mean ride with.
April 27th, 2007 at 2:40 pmJD Hayworth: ‘cmon down! You’re the next contestant on “Red State/ Prison Blue.”
April 27th, 2007 at 2:42 pmHow many investigation’s are on going now.? I forgot..With so many little criminal’s being investigated how will we have time to go after the big whales in the black house.?..Hummm..Maybe that’s the idea..How about just arresting them all, seizing their asset’s and sorting it out after..That’s what the IRS does, they seize your asset’s, I’ve been told, and then you proove what you own and wait ten year’s to get you money back that you didn’t own in the first place..What’s good for us employer’s should be good for our employees, right.?……Blessings
April 27th, 2007 at 2:46 pmBtw, raise your hand if you’re surprised about this Saudi terror-busting raid coming right before Bush’s threatened veto on the Iraq War funding bill.
April 27th, 2007 at 2:48 pmFathead Hayworth in trouble with the law? I’m shocked. Afterall, wasn’t he one of those rightwing gasbags who screamed “rule of law” during the Clinton years? Who knew he would one day run afoul of the law? Bwahahahaha.
April 27th, 2007 at 2:48 pmWe should start talking about those GOP lawmakers who haven’t broken the law or aren’t being investigated for ethics violations — it was be a lot shorter discussion.
April 27th, 2007 at 2:50 pmWhat is it with Republicans and lawbreaking? For that matter, what is it with Republicans and pedophilia?
April 27th, 2007 at 2:53 pmWhat is it with Republicans and lawbreaking? For that matter, what is it with Republicans and pedophilia? Comment by Random rabid troll — April 27, 2007 @ 2:53 pm
They’re both expressions of the unhealthy need to feel power, from men in particular that feel emasculated. They equate power with violence(and lawbreaking) with masculinity, which is why they have more in common with terrorism and vigilante school shooters than the average American. Feel pity for them.
April 27th, 2007 at 3:03 pmPLEASE indict JD…
…one of the most egregious of Bushite propagandist sycophants…
…I hope he STARVES to death…

Coincidental?
I find it extremely interesting that considering the disastrous appearance that Gonzales made before the Senate committee we now have a bunch of indictments coming down.
One of the charges that was made during those hearings was the DOJ wasn’t pursuing Republicans strongly enough.
I don’t know why, but I’m a little skeptical about all of this.
April 27th, 2007 at 3:34 pmHayworth is planning to run again, still in denial about how the people of AZ didn’t want him anymore.
Make sure he won’t even run again. Heh.
April 27th, 2007 at 3:48 pm#13. What you said.
April 27th, 2007 at 6:55 pmBoy, that Jack A sure has the midas touch. Just how many will he touch in the end?
2008 will be the Jack A payback year, when a huge sweep of the the house and senate happen, and NO you repuke trolls, it will not be repukes making the sweep, so don’t ever try going there.
Hating the Repuke Mafia daily
April 27th, 2007 at 7:13 pmAnother crooked Arizonan politician. Imagine that.
April 27th, 2007 at 7:13 pmAnother crooked and delusional Arizona politician, don’t you mean?
April 27th, 2007 at 7:56 pmFor the uninitiated, Mr. Hayworth’s immediate prior experience was that of TV network affiliate sportscaster. I remember him beating a well-qualified opponent due to a seriously gerrymandered district. Crooked from the start.
April 27th, 2007 at 11:11 pm“One of the charges that was made during those hearings was the DOJ wasn’t pursuing Republicans strongly enough.”
Indeed, and it is one o’ em that’s ALREADY out of office… it’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and clearly the Repugs have no problems making human sacrifices out of one of their own. I hear hooter hasn’t even talked to Scooter since the verdict came down.
RICO the lot of ‘em!
