ABC’s Ross: DC Madam’s List Includes White House & Pentagon Officials, Prominent Lawyers

ABC News’ Brian Ross revealed tonight that the list of customers of an alleged Washington-based prostitution service includes White House and Pentagon officials as well as prominent attorneys.

“There are thousands of names, tens of thousands of phone numbers,” Ross said. “And there are people there at the Pentagon, lobbyists, others at the White House, prominent lawyers — a long, long list.” Ross added that the women who worked for the service, potentially as prostitutes, “include university professors, legal secretaries, scientists, military officers.”

On Friday, Ross broke the news that U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Randall Tobias had frequented the escort service. Ross added new details to that story tonight, recounting how he asked Tobias in a telephone interview “if he knew any of the young women, their names. He said he didn’t remember them at all. He said it was like ordering pizza.” Under President Bush, Tobias oversaw a program helping men in poor countries “develop healthy relationships with women.”

UPDATE: The Washington Post carries a front-page profile of the DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, in Sunday’s paper. Palfrey will be interviewed exclusively on ABC’s 20/20 on May 4.

Digg It!

Transcript:

ABC: Brian, I know you were the only reporter to talk to Tobias late this week before his resignation. What did you learn from him?

ROSS: Well, David, I talked to him one day before he resigned and told him that we had found his name and personal phone number on a list of clients of the so-called DC Madam’s escort service in Washington. And what he told me was that he in fact had been a customer of the service, but that he had not had sex. He had had what he called gals come over to his condo to give him a massage. He claimed there was no sex but that he was stunned by the fact that we were aware he was a client and that was his conversation. I asked him if he knew any of the young women, their names. He said he didn’t remember them at all. He said it was like ordering pizza.

ABC: You know, we understand his name is just one of many connected to the case of the DC Madam, as you mentioned. Why does she want the names to be made public?

ROSS: Well, she has been charged by federal prosecutors with running a prostitution service. She says it wasn’t prostitution, it was fantasy sex, legal sex, and she wants to call all of her prominent clients to testify. One, she says, it’s hypocritical of the government to go after her and the women who worked for her. And two, she wants them to testify as to whether there was or was not sex. And she’s intent on doing this. She’s turned down an opportunity to take a four-month prison sentence, plea out the arrangement. She wants to go to trial.

ABC: And Brian, I presume there are others on this list who will turn heads?

ROSS: There are thousands of names, tens of thousands of phone numbers, and there are people there at the Pentagon, lobbyists, others at the White House, prominent lawyers — a long, long list, and as well, the women who work for the service, David, include university professors, legal secretaries, scientists, military officers.

  14. the republic of stupidity Says:

    Oh yeah... sweeeeet.

No doubt a few will be Dems, but it is a price I'm willing to pay at this point.
And want to bet that folk like O'Lielly & Rush will ONLY report about any Dems that do get snarled up in this mess, while not mentioning the FAR more numerous Rethugs?

    Ka-fumph! Ka-fumph! Ka-fumph!*

*The sound of Rethugs spontaneously self-destructing all over DC...

I really wouldn't know....er, I saw the pizza delivery thing on Colbert.
    Yeah....that's it...

  16. Jason Says:

If Brian Ross knows these names, why hasn't the whole list been published? I'd love to see this rock Washington.

  17. Hardy Haberman Says:

Finally a sex scandal! Maybe now the American public will wake up and boot these crooks out of office.

  19. JPark Says:

#14 Noooooo. O'Reilly really couldn't report on this one. It will only hit harder when his name comes up.

  23. Shawn Says:

Porter Goss will be on that list.

  24. kasinca Says:

I am assuming that it will be considered legal prostitution because if the Republicans do it, it is not against the law...

I was just thinking this was going to be an awfully quiet Saturday night. Heh.

  26. Instapummel Says:

Grab the popcorn... this is gonna be entertainment for weeks!

  27. JPark Says:

It is interesting. We all automatically think this will be bad for Republicans and have no doubt that the Dems will look much better. Might it be that the Republicans are a bunch of repressed, pathetic losers?

    Comment by Jason — April 29, 2007 @ 12:00 am

Ross revealed Tobias' name in connection with the scandal only after he had contacted Tobias by phone. I expect his team will attempt to contact suspected clients for comment before revealing their identity.

That was great the way they said, "He had had what he called gals come over to his condo to give him a massage," right as they show him speaking next to Bush.

  31. Mr. Evil Says:

Let's ask this, who's in possession of this list? And what are they going to use it to bargain for? One side of me says that the media will bury this just like most of the previous faux pas of the Bush Administration. Just sweep it under the rug. On the other hand this may just be the 10 ton piece of straw that squashed the camel's back.

  32. VerbalKint Says:

It is interesting. We all automatically think this will be bad for Republicans and have no doubt that the Dems will look much better.
    Comment by JPark — April 29, 2007 @ 12:09 am

In any case there are more Republican targets. The White House and Pentagon are pure Republican. As the party in power they make fatter targets. Also it will cause problems with the party's evangelical base. The hypocrisy factor gets worse, although we know that Republican voters are very comfortable with hypocrisy.

  33. r€nato Says:

I wonder if this story will have a happy ending...

  34. Zooey Says:

Might it be that the Republicans are a bunch of repressed, pathetic losers?
    Comment by JPark

You could be onto something, JPark. :D

  35. the republic of stupidity Says:

Just as I suspected, #29, just as I suspected.

As for Dild O'Lielly, when his name comes up, #19, it will be in association w/ a live boy or dead woman.

And Yes, #27, we tend to tihnk this will make Dems look good, 'cause over and over again, the Rethugs turn out to be absolute perverts.

  36. JPark Says:

#32 I have no doubt that while a lot of evangilicals are comfortable with hypocrisy, there is a substantial portion (40%) that will be very disturbed by this.

  37. Roket Says:

Democrats don’t go for this fantasy/legal sex shit so it’s most likely 100% Republican. Besides, it was probably one of those Christian bordellos that only cater to Conservatives. *blink blink*

  38. joe Says:

    Leave those people alone.

    It's their own damn business.

Let's not go all Kenneth Starr here.

  39. Zooey Says:

I never wanted the Republican crooks to be brought down by a sex scandal. They could come back at us and say we just wanted revenge for Clinton.

Right now, I don't care how they're brought down -- the death toll is too high. They need to go, by whatever means possible.

  40. JPark Says:

#38 Ummm, joe, while I am for legalizing prostitution, you Republicans aren't. Hoist on your own petard, eh?

  41. Mr. Evil Says:

#29 JTitor: Too funny! Just the way Bill O'Reilly will be presenting it Monday night. Every Democrat he can think of in the past 20 years will be on the list, according to him. 10-1 says he does so on his lie-a-thon show tomorrow.

  42. the republic of stupidity Says:

    "one of those Christian bordellos"...???

Sweet Mother of Jesus... oops, that's one of the "entrees" on the "menu", wink-wink... wink-wink...

Pssst... K Rove just called in his order. He'll have the "Mother Superior" for the main course w/ an side of "Alterboy" for dessert.

  43. JPark Says:

#41 I hope he jumps on this with both feet. I guarantee he is on the list.

  44. the republic of stupidity Says:

    Right you are, #40.

Part of the pure pleasure of the moment derives from seeing these condescending, sneering, ultra-moralistic pseudo-Christian Super-hypocrits falling on their own swords left and right.

Like lemmings off a cliff... in a Walt Disney fantasy movie!

  45. JPark Says:

#42 LOL, sweet mother of Jesus, please.

  46. CruzBustamove Says:

I lurve the smell of hypocrisy in the morning!

  47. Vino Says:

#38 Joe - This is a criminal case, nothing to do with the white house. This woman has every right to a fair trial. If some hypocrites get caught with their pants down, well so be it. Prostitution is a crime in DC.

  48. JTitor Says:

    38. Comment by joe —

Is this post a joke? I think Joe's on the list. He seems to be a little sensitive about this subject. I would love to be be a divorce attorney in DC right now.

  49. JPark Says:

#44 Actually, that is all of the pleasure. I don't give a damn if some horny guy pays for sex. I do care if they are disingenuously righteous about things they are guilty of. Come out and vote the way you act, scumbags.

  50. JTitor Says:

    42. Pssst… K Rove just called in his order. He’ll have the “Mother Superior” for the main course w/ an side of “Alterboy” for dessert.

I think that order is wrong. Rove would want the a double heap'n help'n of Alter Boy, skip the vagina.

  51. JPark Says:

#48 Joe got himself a tranny. Don't tell anyone.

  52. anl Says:

Thank you! You made my night, seriously! Once you research these people, you find out how truly nuts they are. Please pick up: Shadia Drury's - Noble lies and perpetual war: Leo Strauss. Shadia is the most knowledgable person in the world on this subject and is a very nice person as well.

  67. Maggie Says:

Why are you all being so optimistic that there will be mainly Republicans on that list? I think there are going to be a lot of Dems' names, too. I wish that this list would not be published. I think that people's sex lives should be private unless there is some link to the deep-rooted corruption in this White House. However, I do understand that this story will generate more interest for the average American citizens than a story about a purge of USattorneys or even another day of more bomb explosions and deaths in Iraq. How sad!

  68. JTitor Says:

That had to be a supervisor. :P

    Comment by Zooey —

I think they had to hire out of the country for that one. A specialist! A truly demented soul. No. I take that back. They must have gotten GW.

  69. JPark Says:

#67 No, this group of consumers are mostly Republicans and they should be blasted for their participation considering they claim to be anti-sex. How about that abstinence program? Heh.

  70. pine Says:

    # 29
    that was funny

  71. Zooey Says:

    Maggie,

It's not about the sex lives, it's about the hypocrisy -- and the fact that this activity is illegal.

  73. johnnyRocketpants Says:

For what it's worth, I found this page when I googled Pamela Martin and Associates. The review seems to have been written in October, and suggests it's a service for Rupugs, but who knows.

  74. JTitor Says:

    67. Comment by Maggie —

Prostitution is illegal in DC. I don't care if it is Democrat or Republican, if they've broken the law then so be it. We need good honest people in government. This is so indicative of the problem in Washington, and people that allow it to happen. Peoples sex lives are private, but there are boundries. Ask Peewee Herman. Not only can you not yell fire in a theater, you can't masturbate either (in some cities....Florida).

  75. JTitor Says:

I did notice that there was no mention of House members? Lets see...."Pentagon, lobbyists, others at the White House, prominent lawyers "...nope. No House members?

  76. JTitor Says:

Ohhh. This is so funny!!! Thanks johnnyRocketpants. If you click below on Pamela Martin & Associates you will get:

Where a Republican can go for descreet service and full release...
    Dickless C. says:

It's getting tough to get one's groove on in this town if you are a Republican... However, this service has shown to be descreet, and the women are super. Ya' gotta have the dough if you want the 'full' service...

I wonder who Dickless C' is? Hmmmm two guesses,

  77. Lily Says:

I'll look for that book, JTitor. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Comment by Gerald Gibson Jr — April 28, 2007 @ 11:59 pm

    Double entendre intended?

I can already hear the cries: Clinton did it, too! Ahh, but Clinton didn't have to pay for it!

I guess if you practice abstinence only, you need a lot of massages to relieve all that pent-up stress.

Can we add bi-sexual to bi-partisan now?

    Fantasy sex...that's with costumes, right?

Legal sex...these guys paid to have sex with their wives?

    Foley: "Oh page!"

At last, the real reason why Goodling wanted immunity.

    There's been a run on D.C. supermarkets for Oxi-Clean.

Anybody care to guess the subject matter of those 5,000,000 missing White House emails now?

I predict a booming business for D.C. divorce lawyers.

Somehow, I don't think this was the "surge" Bush was talking about.

One final thought. Jeane Palfrey was brought up on federal charges. That means a federal prosecutor pursued this case, a supposed "Loyal Bushie." It looks like Gonzales missed one in his purge of federal prosecutors.

I think the news on this is going to be coming hot and heavy for the foreseeable future.

    Comment by JTitor

Actually, JTitor, I was assuming that "the Mother Superior" would come w/, how shall we say discreetly, "a certain attachment" for Karl's sake, and then AFTERWARDS, Karl would finish off w/ a little hair 'o the dog, so to speak...

  83. the republic of stupidity Says:

No, Briseadh na Faire, this is definitely the "surge" Bush had in mind, or at least K Rove. Now, if the "members" of Congress would all rise... snort... for a show of "hands"...

  84. Phoenix Woman Says:

    Let’s see. I am guessing 80% Republican.

At $275 an hour for a 90-minute minimum session? Yeah, they'd have to be.

Ross mentioned White House staff, Pentagon staff (the Pentagon was pretty GOP-heavy even in the Clinton era, and Bush has only made it moreso; hey, wonder if Doug Feith or Wolfowitz were clients?), lobbyists (Hey, Newt!) and lawyers (oh please please PLEASE let Joey DiGenova be one!). Heheheheheh.

  85. Willy Says:

It should be a lot of fun watching ALL of these scumbags getting their due. It doesn't matter if they're Republicans or Democrats, but since hypocrisy about sex seems to be mostly a right-wing problem, I do expect that about 95% of these "lawbreakers" will be Republican scum.

As I believe is true of most liberals, I normally don't enjoy watching other's misfortunes, but somehow this seems different because of all the destruction and suffering these hypocritical scumbags have foisted on the world.

I do believe that what we're seeing now has something to do with karma. (One of the reasons many people don't believe in karma is because of the sometimes long time delay between cause and effect.)

  86. johnnyRocketpants Says:

I love the "I just used them for massages, not for sex" BS. Didn't Haggart say he only bought the meth but didn't use it? And that he never had sex with the male prostitute he was with when he had the meth?

    These guys have amazing restraint.

  87. bluestatedon Says:

As we already know, the Bushies in the White House and elsewhere have been extraordinarily lax with regard to security measures involving computers and God knows what else.

Now we hear that the DC Madam's list involves WH and Pentagon officials. What's to say that the Russians, or Chinese, or even Al Queda for that matter, haven't had women planted amongst the "escorts" to wheedle secret information out of men who are in very compromising positions (ha ha)? The potential for blackmail alone is enormous.

  88. Tim Says:

I believe Rove is married to a woman named Darby and has one or two kids by her. I also read that she is a liberal, which must have been some sort of misprint. I've read rumors that it's a beard situation.

What Joe are y'all taking about? Lieberman? I hope and pray! I hope he did it on the Sabbath too. I hate that man more than the Republicans.

Don't anybody kid yourselves, there will be a healthy number of Dems on that list. Remember Barney Frank used to have a boyfriend who had some sort of prostitution thing going on. I forget the scandal - it was in the 80's when I lived in DC. And it involved a school building, and maybe a vice principal. OK, maybe my old memory is making up puns. It won't be the end of every career on that list.

Point is, if there are any Dems on the list at all, it will be portrayed as a bipartisan scandal. I still think the list should be made public, even though I'm fine with prostitution (except I can't afford it). It's against the law, and it's not fair the madame has to go to the wall but the johns get off scott free. OK, they got off for $300/hour, but it's still not fair.

And if people knew how common this stuff is, maybe Americans could stop acting like cranky Baptist women with prolapsed uteri. At the very least, the names of all military officers and elected officials should be made public.

Lieberman is the one I would most like to see on the list, but I think he's just as tight assed in private as he is in public. My money is on swinger John Bolton. I'm sure Atlas will publicly shrug that one off, but she'll be seething with jealousy inside.

  89. the republic of stupidity Says:

"a 90-minute minimum session", Phoeix Woman?

They may be booking them for 90 minutes, but I doubt if they ever need them for more 'n 3 or 4min , tops... talk about wasting time and money.

  90. johnnyRocketpants Says:

"As I believe is true of most liberals, I normally don’t enjoy watching other’s misfortunes"

    Comment by Willy — April 29, 2007 @ 1:37 am

I know this is something I need to work on more, because my German heritage often steers me towards schadenfreude. I'm having a lot of trouble pretending not to enjoy what's about to happen.

I am, however, fearful for madam Palfrey. She has a lot of information. Stay safe girl, I can only imagine what's happening in D.C. right now.

  91. Maggie Says:

Maybe I'm just afraid that there may be Dems named. A woman is found dead in Joe Scarborough's office, he resigns, the story disappears, he gets his own TV show. Bill O'Reilly sexually harasses a woman with whom he works, he bloviates, the story disappears, he retains his job. The Jeff Gannon/Guckert story never makes its way out of the blogs and he and those in the White House continue to mill about DC unscathed. I'm just so afraid that if there are any Dems' names on this list that this story will eclipse the more important stories that are now being written above the fold. I want the momentum of the actions of the oversight committees to continue their investigations and hearings without distractions that are clearly more titillating to the public than watching the Attorney General's amnesiac moments.
But,if she has broken the law, then those who participated are guilty, too. However, I don't think we should be the morality dispensers. We've had way too much of this these last six years and I'm sick of it. it.

  92. Jay Randal Says:

ABC needs to print the entire list of clients of the prostitution service. Everybody on that list must be exposed and lose their jobs in DC.

  93. GSD Says:

I hope Barney Franks name shows up as a patron of female hookers. The Republics won't know whether to shit or go blind.

    -GSD

  94. Jay Randal Says:

If some Democrats are on that list, then they must be exposed too. The debauchery and hypocrisy in DC must come to an end. Jeff Gannon and Matt Sanchez must be forced to reveal their former client lists, because that would probably expose Bush himself.

  95. GSD Says:

I'll have a large pizza, hold the syphillis.

    -GSD

  96. Kahoneez Says:

"like ordering PIZZA"..I've ordered many pizzas and never had to wear a condom, that's total BS.

  97. Gregor Samsa Says:

The one aspect I have seen no comments on (at least not on ThinkProgress) is the women who were involved with the escort service, who apparently include university professors, scientists, and military officers.

If that is true, then these are educated, career women. Not exactly the type of woman I would expect to find selling their bodies for money.

What would make a professor go into prostitution? Not prestige, that is a given. I doubt sex -it's not as if there is shortage of willing men. That leaves money. Were they in need of cash?

Maybe I am naive, but that tidbit really has me scratching my head.

  98. Gerald Gibson Jr Says:

Maybe I am naive, but that tidbit really has me scratching my head.

    Comment by Gregor Samsa

    Same here.

  99. Jay Randal Says:

Samsa > This whole thing has a vile GOPer stink to it. Even the women involved sound Republican. Money seems to be the motivation for the women, and since their clients were mostly Repubs, then they had to be willing to go to bed with ugly Repubs like Tobias. Most Democrats who cheat on their wives have consenual affairs with other people and do not pay for sex. Republicans on the other hand mostly pay for sex with hookers or male escorts like Jeff Gannon. Dems look for love and Repubs just want dirty sex.

  113. Stupid Git Says:

    "ORDERING GIRLS LIKE PIZZA."

Why is a line like this any more acceptable than Imus' racism, Michael Richards' racism and any other oppressive bigoted/oppressive talk? This guy not only degraded women to the level of pizza verbally but also with his actions.

Just like folks missed the boat going crazy over Imus being a racist when the fact he called a group of girls "ho's" is sexist and ignorant as well - folks never seem all that upset when women are degraded and oppressed. Every major religion oppresses women but it's OK because it's religion, they make less money in their jobs but it's OK because they get maternity leave (ironically they get less in every job except modeling and prostitution which shows what society values women most for).

The fact that people are outraged over this "SEX scandal" and not the systematic abuse and oppression of women by prominent members of our country's leadership says a hell of a lot about just how little our primitive minds have progressed over the past million or so years.

  114. El Tonno Says:

    > This guy not only degraded women to the level of pizza verbally but also with his actions.

Often, when "degraded" and "women" meet in the same sentence, generalizations may have gone too far. Maybe you want to ask the women themselves instead of deciding for them?

  115. Ben Dover Says:

Anybody want to get a pool going? I'll wager somebody 20 bucks its 90+ percent rethug.

  117. JTitor Says:

I know I joked above about the NeoCons blaming this on Clinton, but this is what they do ("Noble Lie"). Many people probably don't remember David Brock a writer from the American Spectator publication back in 1994. The NeoCon controlled publication set out to comb through everything that Clinton ever did and fabricate scandal around his past. The editorial brass at American Spectator created the "Arkansas Project". They created dysinformation about the death of Vince Foster, drug smuggling by the Clintons through Mena airport, Travelgate, Whitewater, and Troopergate.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkansas_Project

David Brock the central character eventually found his soul and left the American Spectator and became a progressive-conservative that writes against the Neo-conservative movement now. In the third chapter of "The Power of Nightmares (last 20 minutes) he is interviewed in the film where he states that all of it was fabricated to bring down the Clinton presidency.

I would suggest as a starting point in understanding the Neo-Conservative movement watch The Power of Nightmares and then read Shadia Drury's books on Leo Strauss (Father of Neo-Conservatism).

His campaign's fundraising is lagging behind that of fellow Republican hopefuls like Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani. And recent events such as the Iran war song fiasco and the now infamous walk on the streets of Baghdad with a security blanket fit for a president while claiming the city was safe for regular Iraqis have had a substantial negative impact on his campaign.

    Comment by El Tonno

So you don't think lowering women to the status of a commodity is degrading? That selling them to customers like pizza delivery is a bit primitive? If this guy said, "I ordered housekeepers like burritos at Taco Bell" I'll bet you'd think that was racist - but referring to women as pizza after buying them (or renting to be more accurate) isn't oppressive and degrading in your mind?

Please think about your stance on that. Women are the MOST oppressed people on the planet. More than blacks, gays, jews, any of them. Every religion oppresses them, they make less money if they're allowed to work at all, they are raped, beaten and mutilated at alarming levels in even the most "civilized" of societies and when they do acheive status they are often judged as much on appearance as merits. Imus got fired for being a racist and no one cared that he was a sexist. No one cares that Limbaugh, Stern and most of the mainstream entertainment industry is sexist - but don't say the "N" word or you're fired.

The restate, think about your stance on this one.

How nice -- we should have seen a fraction of such diligence in their reporting before GW was (s)elected.
Or before we went to war in Iraq.

Everyone is far more preoccupied with sex scandals than they are with life or death things that affect us all.

Don't misunderstand -- anything that contributes to the demise of Bush&Co is fine with me, but the reporters claiming they need to be discrete in this is totally ridiculous.

I know "getting a good bargain" isnt something anyone connected with this administratin is famous for, but I have to admit, I find it hard to beleive that anyone would pay for the low quality garbage that micheal/jake/firehead and penus/hermaphodite/liberalism=mentaldisorder provide. to be honest, while it gets bad sometimes, its often a good way to find alot of good links to refute thier "straight from the fat drug addicts mouth" talking points, as well as honing ones debate skills on thier crudge arguments/lies.

Look at mighty methead megan for instance....its obvious no ones paying that girl enough to feed herself....or even get enough calcium... the hair on her arms is thicker than her bones! yikes

Good Morning all, some great post's..Not suprising that this thread get's the most attention of all the other's here on TP....It's a natural...Sex sell's, sex drive's most of the public and their reaction and sex scandles are prominent for selling anything, alway's...What is interesting to me is not so much those involved but the back ward law's all over our country regarding prostitution...If it were legalized and monatered for health reasons there would not be young people sold into slavery for sex...It's one thing for an adult to want to become a prostitute for any reason and quite another for some one to be a slave and held hostige because of it....Such as the case of drug's, mental health and all the other ignored ill's of our society...I personely believe if it were legalized like in Nevada, monatored, health check up's so forth a lot of street corner corruption would end...The main problem would also lessen which is slavery of many young women.....Blessings

  173. VerbalKint Says:

I see muckdog, hippie with a pistol, exley, happy guy, and more recently "Frank Matthews" as possible paid trolls, or as volunteer party operatives who have agreed to work from a fixed list of daily talking points. Those people who are very persistent on a single subject, e.g. global warming or defending Alberto Gonzales, are likely suspects.

  174. VerbalKint Says:

#168 I'm not making any general claim that reporters do a good job of adhering to journalistic principles. Sadly it appears that many top reporters frequently defy basic principles of journalism. But they don't defy every principle all the time. I think it would be very poor practice to publish these names without giving the named a chance to respond contemporaneously. In any case this story is too lurid and juicy for the media to lay off, so I expect that the names will come out soon enough. I am willing to be patient. Also, I think it will be more fun if the names are dribbled out a few at a time. If I were one of these people, I would strongly prefer that the entire list came out at once. My greatest horror would be that I was one of only two or three people named in a given news cycle.

  177. Charles Barton Says:

One argument against legalizing prostitution is that scandals involving prostitution are so much fun. Allegedly Democrats prefer fornication while Republicans prefer prostitutes. The current crop of Republican Presidential candidates includes several much married serial adulters. No doubt some of those guys also purchased the services of hookers. Now the present scandal would be really interesting if the customer list included some top level Washington women. A couple of big names come to mind, but they are probably too discreet to get caught in this.

  178. Chocolate Jesus Love Anulingus Says:

Yes verbalknight, i do think there might be something to your suspicions about a few of them, muckdog in particular comes to mind. He seems to have this freakish obsession with defending polluters of all stripes. This guy can't seem to find a poisoner he doesnt love, yet seems to talk about very little else... so who knows, you may be right...these guys have so much of others peoples money to throw around, anythings possible. I think frank might be jake though, I know hes not really Frank Matthews, whose a black radio talk show host in alabama. So the only theory I have about "frank" is hes some inbred redneck from alabama whose angry that the FCC lets them uppity negroes on the radio. The writing style of many of these trolls does give them away as the same people.

  179. Rhea Says:

I am with you, however, awaiting the publication of the "list." :)

  182. Karla Says:

Something intriguing to me. The ABC report says that the escorts were highly educated women, many of whom held high level jobs It seems obvious that the kind of information that these escorts would have might be very valuable to any number of people, including, perhaps, foreign governments. ABC says that university professors and army officers were moonlighting as escorts. Ask yourself if these women were risking their careers for $300 dates or if they were actually being employed by someone else who paid them a good bit more for the information they had. Information about the proclivities of powerful DC figures could well have been an annuity for these women- an endless blackmail windfall.

The sex scandal angle is entertaining, but I wonder if there is a much more serious story here. Imagine if a foreign government recruited 30 women to work for the city's most-connected escort service. Worlds turn on the kind of information these women would have.

...Lynne and L'il Dick couldn't look MORE detached from each other...

    ...if they were perfect strangers...

...ain'tNOBODY gettin'any at the Naval Obeservatory...

...unless its Bubba (the Secret Service Agent...not Clinton)... :-)

  195. Topper Harley Says:

Obviously a lot of these neocon scumbags enjoyed "Extra Anchovies" on their pizzas.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097790/

  196. Marie Says:

    big papa
I don't think L'il Dick would be able to fully enjoy the ladies delivering pizza - if you get my drift. I think that contributes to his being such a disagreeable, nasty person.

  197. Marie Says:

sorry double post -- TP is extra slow - thought my first one was censored.

  198. big papa Says:

I think that contributes to his being such a disagreeable, nasty person.

    Comment by Marie #195

    ...that performance anxiety...

    ...must be what's causing his...

    ...constant gasket blowing...

    ...and valve troubles...

  199. Walt Says:

Ordering girls like pizza? Oh boy! I'd like a half-and-half, please; one side pepperoni, and the other side, some juicy scandal.

  200. valiant venus Says:

Sharon - It's so refreshing to read your moral relativism.....When liberals and libertarians tell me they think prostitution should be legalized I ask them one question, "Would you want your daughter to be a legally monitored prostitute? Afterall, if that occupational choice is acceptable for other peoples' daughters, how about your "of age" daughter? Wouldn't it just be the happiest day of your life?"

The beauty of liberalism is the blatant appeal to the lowest common denominator.

  201. Briseadh na Faire Says:

199 - there is a saying, "find out what you like to do, then find a way to get paid for doing it."

If either of my daughters made the career choice to be a sex worker, I would support them in that choice. My greatest concern would be about the potential for occupational diseases. But then, one doesn't have to get paid for sex to be at risk for those.

The same would apply to sons, as well.

  202. Gregor Samsa Says:

It’s so refreshing to read your moral relativism…..
    Comment by valiant venus — April 30, 2007 @ 12:29 am

More idiocy by Varmint Genus on display.

Moral relativism is the fact that people push policies based on celibacy and sexual abstinence at the same time that they are getting "massages" from escort services.

Stop being such a moron, even if it's for just five minutes one day.

  203. nightslider Says:

this is truly remarkable, you have to wonder where the Peccadillo's of the military went? and who kept the gonads?

this lady definitely knew how to blow off a bunch of lame stiffs, I'm sitting here laughing my ass off, these moralistic bastards are going to have their morals shoved so far up their keisters that their wifes, and husbands are sure to have the needs of a good cosmetic surgeon, ME GETS THE FEELING THEY'LL need to hide somewhere, see it werent me not my eyes look at the pictures.

to funny, a madam scorned is a madam pissed with a black book and an attitude problem.

  204. nightslider Says:

heres an intersting thought, someone really needs to start a betting pool for this one,

HOW HIGH DO YOU THINK THE DIVORCE RATE WILL GO THIS YEAR, in D.C?

  205. nightslider Says:

Interesting concept, just how high do you think the divorce rate will be in D.C this year?

anyone want to start a pool?

  206. Tim Says:

“Would you want your daughter to be a legally monitored prostitute? Afterall, if that occupational choice is acceptable for other peoples’ daughters, how about your “of age” daughter? Wouldn’t it just be the happiest day of your life?”

Having your kid in voluntary legally monitored prostitution is better than in illegal and unmonitored prostitution. So there's a bit of relativism for you to shove up your ass (please douche thoroughly first). And if I had kids, I'd rather they were honest whores than the kinds of whores who work for the RNC, GWB, and the MSM. No sane person wants their kid to be a whore, a drug addict, or Republican. But shit happens. I for one might disown my kids (if I had any, which, thank god, I don't) for some of the above (especially being a Republican), but I don't think criminalizing any of those things solves the problems.

  207. sam Says:

funny that you all are going on about republicans, quit trying to turn this into a political agenda, there will be dems republicans and everyone else in politics, politictians are ALL corrupt, youre blind. smash the system!

  208. Nick Says:

Once this reaches inside the Whiter House, it will become the scandal of the day. Let's see how they will try to weasel out of this one. Oh, how I yearn for the days of Watergate. At least then, Congress did something. Now, or at least until this year, Congress was nothing more than a rubber stamp for everything the WH did.
If Bill Clinton can be impeached for his lies regarding his extra-marital, consentual sex, then the current administration should be indicted in a court of law for their crimes. This sex scandal will be deflected by the Bush gang of thugs, but the press should be pushy and help add it to the list that Congress is seemingly putting together for impeaching Bush, Cheney and anyone else who has breached the rule of law and deserves indictment and justice (more than what they'd give in similar situations).
The US can kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in an illegal and immoral war, yet when they get caught having extra-marital sex with a women from a house of ill repute, all eyes turn on them. Is there something wrong here??? They were caught with hookers where it's illegal... they need to be charged as anyone else would be and then fined and jailed, according to the law.

  209. Evil Spaniard Says:

Funny that valiant venus posts in this thread blasting the prostitution. Venus (or Aphrod!te) was the Goddess of Prostitution and prostitutes.

But I suppose that culture isn't one of the strong points of Venereal Vagina.

  210. gordon Says:

So post the names Allready! We don't need their phones numbers or addresses, just names and position in the military, goivernment and law. Maybe the reason the list has not been made available to the public is because the people at FOX and CNN news are on the list as well?

  211. Lori Says:

Based on history...I'd say 80% democrat.

  212. Madam Jeanette Maier Says:

I've been a madam in New Orleans for over 27 years. I was arrested in Oct. 2001. The FBI wiretapped my phones and listen to the sexual liasons for several months during before and after 9/11. Millions of the tax payers paid for this victimless crime, at that time the money could of been better utilized for the security of our country. What a waste, I want the washington madam to join me in proving what a hypocisy this is and that this so called crime should be decriminalized. Sex between 2 or more people is nobodies business except the people doing "it", and why should it matter if its for love, fun or monetary gain. And as George Carlin said "Sex is legal, sales are legal, why isn't the sale of sex legal. Debra Jean will you join me in showing the Society what is really going on. It's not so bad they were caught with their pants down, whats really going to get them is what they did for pleasure I'm sure she knows what I'm talking about. Debra can reach me at csbmadam@aol.com

  213. Mark Foley Says:

Was there mention of any gay hookers? Just curious.

  214. Pinto Flounder Says:

Uh well uh bless my soul. Our nations wealth, youth, reputation, wasted on Bush's war for oil is just too painful to bear. The masses need to be diverted by a circus. So let's out the list of phone numbers. A million bloggers researching the list will then out the customers within 24 hours. Let the games begin.

  215. sacredori Says:

If we can see who in the White House is not on the list, then finally we'll know who was doing Jeff Gannon in the White House.

Man if I were the next person to move into that building I think I'd have every surface sanitized...yuck.

  216. TackingBackAmerica.Org Says:

Making this list public will serve no purpose. The private, personal life of ANY American should be left alone. This is just another attempt by the left wing, liberal, anti-government media to drag this great nation down.

Just how much did ABC pay for this list? Anything for ratings equals poor journalism and poor social and moral responsibility.

  217. neil Says:

To "TackingBackAmerica.Org" (I like how you misspelled your own crass website, but perhaps "tacking" is more accurate for what you would like to do with America):

I agree with some of your points, but you mistook your left and right. The media is definitely right-wing. Greed, anti-government, ratings-conscious, a lack of social and moral responsibility - those are all marks of the right-wing. Look at the media's record of blind war-support (and ratings profiteering) and you'll see they are indeed right-wing.

I wonder if you thought the "private, personal life of ANY American should be left alone" (a liberal attitude, by the way) back when the right-wing was trying to pin down Clinton. I agree, personal lives should remain personal and private. But if those personal lives are publically hypocritical, they are fair game. Just like Ted Haggard. If they practiced what they preached, none of this would happen. You reap what you sow, etc. I don't mind these sad, pathetic men visiting prostitutes - it should be legal - but they shouldn't use wedge issues like anti-sex "family values" in their stump speeches then. Their sex-lives aren't being exposed, their hypocrisy is. We're better off without these unprincipled men in government.

  218. Swinger club Says:

    WOW
There are thousands of names, tens of thousands of phone numbers. And there are people there at the Pentagon, lobbyists, others at the White House, prominent lawyers - a long, long list.
    This should get interesting

  219. iinaPerez Says:

Let's face it. Would you be surprised at any names that would show up on the list? Who really cares if men or women use this service? I certainly don't. People in other countries laugh at us. We drop bombs in other countries, that's OK. But sex isn't? What a joke.

  220. Keyse Says:

Oh PLEASE let Orielly or Hannity's names show up. Hopefully that will end their Holier than though attitudes.

  221. Brian Rau Says:

wow this blog is just filled with lies and assumptions. hannity and o'reilly won't be on there, neither will rush or beck. as much as you guys want rove to go down he won't, he's done nothing illegal. (oh i forgot being conservative is illegal now) they got scooter libby, not for outing a cia agent by the way but for perjury, the same thing that clinton should have been thrown in jail for. keep in mind that regardless of the libs that are on the list it won't matter. this story WILL be about the conservatives even if there's only one.

further, i don't lnow what anyone is still trying to accomplish by calling this war illegal. the libs all voted for it too and are going to continue to support it, without a timetable, after bush's veto. so much for that oil that we're getting for it too, we still haven't seen any. (wait what's that? the libs spouted something that's unsupported and hasn't come true?)

you guys run around day in and day saying that bush is the dumbest guy in the world. yet you still think that he's smart enough to run these mass conspiracies and cover ups. it just shows how much you hate the guy becuase he "stole" the election from gore in 2000. you know the one that gore never won once in any count ever done.

  222. Stephen Gilliss Says:

The reason this country is in such disrepair and soon to be chaos is because of people like Brian Rau who blindly supports these criminals in power and the mentally challenged conservative airheads that fill the bandwidths with trash. These people and the entire Bush administration along with the idiots that were thrown out of Congress will be held accountable for their actions. The diservice and damage that these people have done to what was once the greatest country in the world may be permanent. I hope not. Soon we will take what is left of our once perfect union and create something new where these idiots cannot dupe the people into illegal wars for personal profit and power. The past six years and three months have been the most corrupt time in our history. These "leaders" will have their day in congress soon. The charge will be treason. Treason is a capital offense. You do the math.

  223. Brian Rau Says:

the most corrupt administration in history. yet another baseless lie that's been uttered so many times that it has become fact. that's how it works, say whatever you want as "fact" and never get called on it when you're wrong. here's a hit list of REAL FACTS from the previous administration. i dare you to check these.

    -  The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
    - Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates
    - Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
    - Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
    - Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
    - First president sued for sexual harassment.
    - First president accused of rape.
    - First first lady to come under criminal investigation
    - Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
    - First president to establish a legal defense fund.
    - First president to be held in contempt of court
    - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
    - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
    - First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

i forgot though, those were good times........right?

  224. Skeeter Says:

Could not have said it better myself Brian......you have to remember most who post here were in kindergarten during the Slick Willy circus on wheels act.

  225. tommy p Says:

Has anyone here even followed up on this story? Last I heard, no one newsworthy is even actually on the list - just a bunch of lowly lobbyists and bureaucrats.

  226. Josh Says:

How about Dick Cheeny? Is he "newsworthy"?

  227. Kate Anne Says:

AAR's Rachel Maddow thinks Brian Ross got paid off. While sexuality is personal, a good case can be made that certain holy-than-thou types deserve to be outed.

  228. Mark Norris Says:

There are numerous internet reports now saying that the "CEO now with White House Connections" is the VP. We'll see how soon someone else agrees he might be 'newsworthy.' Of course, a nobody in State is newsworthy because he can't hurt ABC. Wonder if they will be invited to the next White House Correspondents Dinner? How sweet it is!

  229. Shorebreak Says:

Here is the meaning of this case:

"We have dirt on all of you - and we've just demonstrated that we WILL go public on this! Your career will be over, your marriages destroyed, and your children will hate you! You WILL be a disgrace!

...so then, now that we have an understanding, SHUT YOUR MOUTH as our plans unfold. When the nuke goes off, you WILL support our STRATCOM policy to IMMEDIATELY target Iran. And if youe even whisper the phrase FALSE FLAG, the DC Madam will start the ball rolling on YOU. And trust me when I say this, she will be the least of your worries.

So get back to work. Support our goals. And everything will work out nicely for you."

  230. Norm Says:

Republicans always like to bring up Clinton when someone in the Bush Administration gets in trouble. Get over it. It's so 20th Century.

  231. Swilly Tisher Says:

Dick Cheney on the list ? Is his heart up to it ?

  232. Kalanda Says:

So when is Brian Ross gonna release this timebomb? don't wanna miss this show

  233. Ham617 Says:

I'm guessing 90% Democrat but 80% reported Republican

  234. Patty Says:

I bet the ABC guys at the Mayflower are choking!!!!!!!

  235. Rex Says:

    Pizza is food.

  236. Technocrates Says:

Notice how this otherwise nice and juicy story has shriveled in the news so quickly? The story's been spiked!
By who? ...well thats the question. looks like the "news " media won't let anyone know thats for damn sure. They've received their marching orders on this one.
