ThinkProgress is launching a blog fellows program. It’s part time work (~20 hours/week) for six months, you receive a $3000 stipend, and you don’t have to live in Washington DC. The deadline for applying is this Sunday. Details HERE.
You can count me in. I especially appreciate your offering of serious wedge instead of fobbing everyone off with a fish sandwich for showing up, which was popular in my day
Thank god. If you want to read a blog about somebody kissing Bush’s ass, you can go to any MSM web site. We need real blogging, not bootlicking. Comment by Spudge_Boy — April 30, 2007 @ 5:18 pm
Now THAT’S FUNNY!!! Then again, consider the sh*t quality of wingnut bloggers, Exley is IMMINENTLY (un)qualified.
The word you are looking for is “eminently,” not “imminently.”
em·i·nent
adj.
1. Towering or standing out above others; prominent: “an eminent peak.”
2. Of high rank, station, or quality; noteworthy: “eminent members of the community.”
3. Outstanding, as in character or performance; distinguished: “an eminent historian.”
Well just to prove I have no problem outing myself I applied. Many here might not know my name, but I used to do a lot of posting at Americablog and Dailykos. I still do a lot of posting at http://www.commongroundcommonsense.org/ I am able to spend a large amount of my time blogging because I do that already in my free time.
I use DU latest breaking to get articles, I go to rawstory, dailykos, Americablog, Huffington post, and pretty much any other. I can find just about any information that is helpful on a subject as well as do satire. I’ve already outted myself at dailykos. I’m a TG American so I have a lot of interesting views. I recently stayed in a haunted house not to long ago just for the fun of it so if I can face the undead I think I can face the living.
Oh and just for the heck of it I have no problem making fun of my own self.
oh at http://www.commongroundcommonsense.org/ my name has always been JasonATexan. That was the name I signed up for on the Kerry/Edwards 2004 board along time ago.
The Hillary remark was more a shot at TP-Podesta’s obvious bias towards Hillary than at the posters. I am quite aware of Hillary’s unpopularity among many of the posters.
Comon people, bashing politicians should remain a hobby, something you do for three hours a day because you love it, not because it pays. How about you don’t give the stipend but instead, you give 300.000 to the first one-eye that can finally have this president impeached and this war for pentagon funds and oil ended? That’s what I would call progress!
One of the greatest lessons in life I have learned is telemarketing people will still call you even during a Hurricane. I was in indy Indiana and worked a few days at a telemarketing place. We were calling Floridia people asking them about Home Equity Loans. I got yelled at by one person who said I do not know if I’ll have a house in another 24 hours STOP CALLING ME. I’m trying to watch the news.

How do you know what word I was looking for? You st*pid Jake*ss.
“Imminently” was in reference to the “imminent” attacks that Condi spoke about, and that Venomous Vapid loves to defend. We’re all aware that you’re a humo(u)rless arrogant Jake*ss Exley – so why don’t you save your “vocabulary” lecture for the (woe)man that can’t spell Humo(u)r – Ok, son? And leave the *adults* to have a conversation.
Spudge, The Hillary remark was more a shot at TP-Podesta’s obvious bias towards Hillary than at the posters. I am quite aware of Hillary’s unpopularity among many of the posters. Comment by Exley — April 30, 2007 @ 5:44 pm
Hillary is no gem, but GOP f*ckheads like you aren’t good enough to eat her sh*t. Just f*ck off, will you son?
I will continue to blog for free, because I believe that what I do is not some kind of job, but more a service to mankind. Your thoughtful consideration and steadfast approval of my points of view are payment enough.
If you’re wondering why you’re not getting any applications, look at the instructions on the application:
Please send completed application materials to the Fellows Program Coordinator via email at tpfellows@americanprogress.org or by mail to: Center for American Progress, ATTN: ThinkProgress Fellows Program, 1333 H Street, NW, 10th Floor, Washington, DC 20005.
And then look at what happens when attempting to actually e-mail that address:
I suspect you may be right. I applied the first day and got the same rejection. I then researched (maybe it was a test) and resubmitted the Ap and some supplementary information. I would hope that if there was a paucity of applicants it would be for that reason and not for lack of interest. For ego purposes I would like to be accepted but for practical purposes TP might be better off with a younger set that has more to protect than I. Granny and I will win simply because our armor has been thickened over the years to where the time it will take to wear it down far exceeds its useful life (meaning we will outlive the ability of the Repug theives to get it all!). Unfortunately, with the bushco corruption, that cannot be said about our beloved Country today. On January 21, 2009, or sooner, but not today.
I disagree with this. What this is going to amount to is a series of blogs which are going to be discredited as being bought and paid for.
Come on guys, lets not be like the rightwing with their bought and paid for trolls, lets keep it voluntary.
$6.25/hour is close enough to voluntary to qualify. I’d filled out my application believing the stipend was $3,000 / month. It is, in fact, $500/month.
I can be vituperativly toxic , if necessary…..
April 30th, 2007 at 4:27 pmI nominate Raven!

April 30th, 2007 at 4:39 pmyou mean like the two which just got deleted?
April 30th, 2007 at 4:42 pmOnce in a while Exley says something funny and I mistake him for someone with a heart.

April 30th, 2007 at 5:36 pmTP may be backing Hillary but most of us aren’t.
What you just did was a perfect example of what I said in my post and the only thing you can come back with is:
“I know you are but what am I.”
Being a repeater isn’t very interesting for bloggers or bloggees.

No… It is the correct usage. Such as you will not imminently (no time soon) be qualified to provide any kind of logical discourse.
April 30th, 2007 at 6:14 pmExley,
You’re so f*cking arrogant. Geez….
April 30th, 2007 at 6:17 pm20 hours a week for 6 months …….

that would be $5720 plus danger money + holidays and pension fund and national insurance fees
