    Another Historic Step On Impeachment

Sparked by an insurgency among delegates, the California Democratic Party has taken an historic step forward on the issue of impeachment. In a resolution affirmed by the full state party convention Sunday, the Democrats called on the U.S. Congress to use its subpoena power to investigate misdeeds of President Bush and Vice President Cheney – and to hold the Administration accountable “with appropriate remedies and punishment, including impeachment.” The delegate insurgency was coordinated by Progressive Democrats of America and its allies.

Why does the NYS legislature hate america?

    Clinton did it too.

How is McCain going to convince New Yorkers that he is the right candidate pushing for war, campaigning in New York? let's not forget Guiliani also who wants the escalation to continue.
Support is drying for them...may be another trip to Baghdad is needed with photo images showing McCain buying Iraqi rugs, is a good idea for McCain.

Mongo, if you don't use the "/sarcasm" switch they don't get it. They are on a hair trigger.

America isn't a democacy, so who cares.

  9. Roger Says:

I believe Mongo was actually making fun of the typical "Black hearted little troll" who's only defense of the Bush administration is to blame Clinton (while shreding the weak talking point that if you speak out against the Bush administration is equal to being un-American, wanting the terrorists to win, etc.)

  10. SKdeA Says:

He was - Mongo is new here. Until we get to know the typical stance of a new name, it's hard to tell them from a troll no matter how insane they sound! After all, some of our trolls are pretty out there...

Great news. Maybe this will help our beleaguered troops. I hope so. Maybe too state legislatures will put some pressure on Congress to impeach Messrs. Bush & Cheney et al for the illegal war and occupation.

  21. Jay Randal Says:

Bush will veto it because he wants no restrictions on the funding, so he and Cheney can continue to skim cash for themselves off the top.

Kurds To Oppose Draft Oil Law

In a surprise move, Kurdish lawmakers have announced that they plan to oppose Iraq’s controversial US-backed oil law.

Back in February, the Kurds had agreed to support the draft law, which has been heavily criticised as giving too much control to foreign oil companies.

Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani had predicted the draft law would be approved by parliament in April, but it has yet to be debated.

Kurds hold 58 of the 275 parliament seats _ not enough to defeat the measure on their own. But Kurdish objections could delay passage of the bill, whose ratification has been strongly urged by the White House.

But Kurdish spokesman Khalid Saleh has said: “We are not going to support” the provisions in the bill. Some Sunni legislators have also raised now objections, saying the oil law would give foreign oil companies too much power.

So the draft oil law could be in for a tough time before it becomes law. They will be sweating in Houston........
