The world better rally and get some leaders in place that actually care about peace, love, and quality of life….or we’re all toast. We’re toast physically, emotionally and spiritually. Pretty simple. Either we start taking care of each other and the planet or we all GO. :) Guess it’s the classic battle of the light against the dark. The dark has more points at this point. Until the ego takes a back seat, survival of our species is a pipe dream
Claire McCaskill, Dem from Missouri was disinvited as speaker at her daughter’s graudation because of her personal views on stem cell research and abortion.
Also:
Joan Baez was “disinvited” from a concert.
Mellencamp had to tone down his anti-war music and rhetoric at the same event.
I think we have seen the birth of the American taliban.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the Pentagon has virtually eliminated blogging by soldiers now — while CNN is running little videos of soldiers who support the mission in Iraq.
Squelching information and spreading propaganda is growing stronger by the week.
Baathists vs. The Mehdi Army!
That would be great!

I like that last part. The people we removed from government, against those who are now part of the elected government. Although that fight is already going on. You can forget about Saudi vs. Iran; they have already agreed to work together as it is in their best financial interest. I think that Al-Qaeda vs Hezbollah would be the best fight of all. You have the financial backing of Saudi supporting Al-Qaeda, but fairly decent equipment and logistics from Syria helping Hezbollah (remember Syria was our ally in Desert Storm, and their helicopter pilots gained a decent reputation). I would pay to watch that fight.
whats 216 billion barrels of known Oil resources at $70 a barrel divided by 25 million Iraqis
$604,800.00 Thats how much an Iraq is worth
each Iraqi should be entitled to half a million dollars each to rebuild thier country, infrastructure and HOME
The trouble would stop tommoro if Bush said to the Iraqi people . Your oil is yours ………………… and was sincere ……… Trouble is Bush is a liar and thief and cannot be trusted
chris L,
If the Iraq war leads to an Intra-Islamic war that destroys their civilization thus forcing us to stop using oil and use Alternative fuels.
It’s a win, win!
We use Alternative fuels,
They destroy each other and when the dust settles they’ll be broke and become harmless carpet sellers begging us for money.
I say let them self destruct!
that 24% left will be Kurds – they use the Kurds to distort the polls
92% sunnis wants Americans Out
82 % Shiites
67% Kurds
The medias manipulate these figures to include the Kurds as to show an overall lower figure for anything because they are livin it up
when if you take the 92% and 82% ……. basically all South Iraq you would get an avergae of 86% want Americans out Or say (No wall building ) the real figure is the remaining 14% who are obviously Malikis Cabinet
Joker is a sick, demented neocon troll masquerading as a progressive, very badly at that.
Please ignore it and don’t let it ruin another thread with his troll droppings..
What! 70 something percent don’t want to be walled in like oh, say, a concentration camp?
How dare they question the Amerikan military genius who thought this up. Geez, ungrateful sobs…

“Birth?”
I’d say we’re long past that. The American Taliban has already hit adolescence and is going out all hours of the night without even calling or leaving a note and its mother and I have been worried sick!
Isn’t that same percentage of Americans rejecting Bush’s “war walls”?
May 2nd, 2007 at 6:17 pmhmmmm…sounds like they have the same percentage of nuts that we do. Maybe it’s universal.
May 2nd, 2007 at 6:19 pmOnce again the players in this war show how they are completely ignorant of Muslim culture and the many distinct groups that are in the region.
All this is doing is uniting the Iraqis against us even more than before.
Iraqis want us out, 76% of polled US soldiers wanted us out by 2006, and over 2/3 of Americans want us out of Iraq but the President isn’t listening.

Nonetheless, the walls continue to be erected. Why?
• Because Halliburton is paid $1000 per each 6′ section!
Five kilometers of wall is something like 2,500 sections, or $2.5 million dollars.
That’s serious money, and Halliburton knows how to wash the blood off the cash, you bet.
May 2nd, 2007 at 8:04 pmThe Iraqis don’t want the f*cking wall — do you hear that Chimp?
Why do I think he cares….?
May 2nd, 2007 at 8:17 pmWell, if The Decider doesn’t really care what his own countrymen think or want, what makes anyone think he gives a damn about what Iraqis want?
I mean, it’s not as if he waited for an invitation to go into Iraq, did he?

If the latest gossip on Pres Bush’s temper tantrum is even close to the truth, then I really don’t believe he cares much about anyone else’s opinion.
You see, he thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong. About Iraq, as well as everything else.
/sarc on
If only he could make people see his greatness and wisdom….

You may as well post poll results for how Baghdad residents feel about checkpoints designed to keep armed militia convoys out of Sunni neighbourhoods.
