Because the United States is engaged in this open-ended “War on Terror” — yes, we’ve decided that it is a war, so any terrorism that occurs now is part of this war — that means that by your rules, your family is now just collateral. IMHO, we are more vulnerable to attack w/ our GIs occupying Iraq, while exacerbating the status quo, than if we re-deployed to Afghanistan, to fight Al Qaeda. Our GIs in Iraq are nothing more than moving targets in a battlefield training ground for the bad-guys. When the Iraqis standup, our GIs will continue to be shot down& blown-up.
