Or, better still, how great is American that we can lose the damn war against a bunch of poorly-armed and poorly-organized insurgents because the Bush administration refused to ask for the necessary sacrifices, make the necessary plans, and commit the necessary resources?

And how great is the Bush administration for trying to fight a “MORE dire [war] than WWII” [gad, what an idiotic statement] on the cheap such that we cannot get the outcome he wanted?

And how great is the Bush administration for taking out a powerless country that did not have a nuke, while at the same time allowing another country to accelerate its nuclear program and acquire nuclear weapons, and a third country to continue its nuclear research program unabated because both countries know damn well that we cannot go after them with our military bogged down fighting a poorly-armed and poorly-organized bunch of insurgents in Iraq?

Bush-bat is fighting two wars in a confined space. One is against a backward mountain country without roads and the other is against a quasi-developed country that was battered in a previous war with Bush’s pappy.

It seems to me that this should have been a cakewalk for America. But we know from the nasty gossip coming out of the Pentagon that Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush wanted the whole war done on the cheap. Every detail of personnel and equipment was slashed to the bare bones. And you get what you pay for, Jake. DISASTER.

Afghanistan is LOST. Iraq is LOST. The big winner is IRAN. Yes, Jake, you’ve handed Iran the big door prize. Silly old you. If only the US had nailed OBL in the Tora Bora mountains. But NO, Junior had to avenge Pappy’s honor –even when Pappy said DON’T. And so Afganistan was left half done and only half the troops required were sent into Iraq and so that’s been botched. Good job, Jake. A true bargain. Good to see such conquering done on a shoestring. Bravo.

Too bad it’ll have to be all redone at union rates in ten years time. Penny wise, pound foolish.
