The problem is that this whole thing is couched in terms of ‘debate.

When it comes to science, the debate is over, the facts are in, and lets move on. But, because there are one of two fringe lunatics or ’scientists’ still firmly in the pocket of the oil companies, certain media can continue to say that there is a debate.

This falls into the same general category as the moon landings. The vast majority of scientists agree that man has landed on the moon. There are still some people out there who think the whole thing was faked and man hasn’t landed on the moon.

I don’t see many hour long rants about the moon landing conspiracy on national news channels.
