“He decided in a flash to put our country on offense against terrorism. … He will be, I believe, a president who will be viewed by history for this one decision as being a great president.”
Please, Rudy, keep moving further and further to the Right. Keep going……..a little further………don’t mind that cliff behind you…….just a little further……..excellent!
The only decision of King George the Dumb that will be remembered in a positive light is the one he will not make: the decision to resign and accept his punishment as a war criminal.
What a weird thing to say. Bush will be remembered as an obstructer of justice and someone who killed the military by not reducing spending and by failing to rally more eligible Republicans to serve and relieve fighting soldiers.
That anyone would mistake Giuliani for a viable presidential candidate is sheer comedy. It shows just how far out of touch Republicans have become, aided and abetted by a sycophantic Washington press corp that has forgotten how to recognize the truth, much less report it.
Giuliani proposed making permanent the tax cuts enacted under Bush, repealing the estate tax and keeping flat the capital gains tax rate.
But the candidate’s two biggest applause lines came when he reminded the group of his association with Sept. 11, 2001, and Bush’s performance in its aftermath.
Quite frankly, even if there was incontrovertable proof that 9/11 was pulled off by the PNAC, these folks wouldn’t believe it. They have bought the lies, hook, line and sinker, and would rather see the country destroyed than admit they were duped.
Do nothing in response to the USS cole attack
Ignore warnings of imminent terrorist attacks
Do nothing for 7 minutes as the WTC burned.
Hide in Air Force One for a whole day and let everyone else deal with the terrorism.
Let Bin Laden escape
Attack a country that had no terrorists and nothing to do with 9-11
Let Al -Zawahiri go free
Invent suspects, bomb-plots and terror-alerts
Incarcerate hundreds but bring none to public trial
Spend millions on illegally investigating tens of thousands of ordinary citizens.
Interfere with a British counter terror operation for expediant politcal purpose.
Put incompetents in charge of national security.
Fire key translators and analysts because they are gay and don’t replace them
Torture captives with no tangible result.
Create a recruitment center and training ground in Iraq that increased terrorism.
Do nothing about increasing port security
Send half the National Guard to Iraq, reducing homeland security
Deplete and abuse the military. reducing homeland security
I guess Rudy is going for Bush’s 28% of marginally intelligent Americans. Does he think he can win with 28% of the vote? I really hope he ends up as the Republic candidate. He will be so easy to beat. I can think up a dozen advertisements about him and I’m no advertising maven. But he is right. Bush was bold. He reacted to a real threat by invading a country that had nothing to do with 911. That is certainly bold leadership, if you are a warmonger and a participant in the military industrial complex (Haliburton).
Rudi, Rudi, Rudi
Get your head out of your butt.
“Offense against terrorism” does not include invading a country because you thought, or hoped, they were about to attack you - this based on so-called intelligence that you knew was completely fabricated before you issued the orders to attack (or was it based on the hope for real cheap oil that you and your friends could share?).
Rudi, if elected, who do you plan to attack so that we can call you a great leader also?
hahahahah! Wait until we find out that Rudy was complicit in the 911 charade as well! Can’t wait for all of that stuff to rise to the surface. His campaign is already toast due to his organized crime connections (Kerick et al)….but his complicity with Bush will become the straw that breaks his campaign’s back when this investigation is begun. Does anyone think for one moment that his position during 911 and his campaign “plans” were coincidence?? If so, I’ve got some prime swamp land you may be interested in…..
Rudy looked like a stiff (get a load of his backside during their procession into the room - yiiiiikkkkkkkes!) during the debate. He was mumbling and bumbling like an unprepared fool and certainly didn’t win any points for that performance.
Ahh the new, soon to be old neocon talking point. Even though our country is in the shitter now, don’t worry folks in 50 years Bush will be seen as a great president. Neocons, see Hoover. Too funny.
As the primaries loom ever closer the squirrelier the Republicans get. Rudy’s barely keeping his twitching under control while Mitt Romney is on the verge of a complete meltdown. It’s going to be very interesting to see how this shakes out.
Rudy is giving his judgment call about anything is unbelievable. Afterall this is the genious that put the HOMELAND SECURITY OFFICE IN THE BASEMENT OF A BUILDING (THE WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWERS FOR YOU CONSERVITIVES) That was attacted with explosives before. Yha Rudy keep talken.
Recently TP had the post the highlighted Bush’s 28% approval rating as the worst in a generation. Newsweek has Harry Truman on the cover. NW and Hillary Clinton have both recently lauded Truman’s performance as President during tough times. His lowest approval rating? 23%.
As great as you, Ghouliani?
May 6th, 2007 at 11:07 amYeh just like senior went down in history for being a ‘wimp’ and his infamous statement, “Read my lips, no new taxes!”
May 6th, 2007 at 11:08 amFor god’s sake Rudy, get your tongue out of Chimpy’s ass.

May 6th, 2007 at 11:09 amgeez, rudy…lay off the crack, huh?
May 6th, 2007 at 11:10 amRemember, Giuliani is the guy who recommended Bernard Kerik to head the Homeland Security Department.
What would you expect form him - good judgement?
May 6th, 2007 at 11:10 amI didn’t read the whole article. Did Bush decide to resign? That would be the first great decision of his administration.
May 6th, 2007 at 11:11 amFor god’s sake Rudy, get your tongue out of Chimpy’s ass.
Comment by Zooey
Rudy seems to be blind to the fact that 56% of Republicans want the troops out of Iraq.
And that Karl is not gonna put up with a tongue in his puppets behind.

May 6th, 2007 at 11:12 amhahaha! YES! THANK YOU RUDI! thank you for insuring your defeat in 08!
sucker

May 6th, 2007 at 11:16 amThis is the thinking from the audience:
Quite frankly, even if there was incontrovertable proof that 9/11 was pulled off by the PNAC, these folks wouldn’t believe it. They have bought the lies, hook, line and sinker, and would rather see the country destroyed than admit they were duped.
May 6th, 2007 at 11:19 amThis statement alone proves that Rudi is unfit for office-any office.
May 6th, 2007 at 11:19 amAh yes, Bush’s response to terrorism:
Do nothing in response to the USS cole attack
Ignore warnings of imminent terrorist attacks
Do nothing for 7 minutes as the WTC burned.

Yeah, great work!

May 6th, 2007 at 11:37 amNaturally, he says that after the debate…
May 6th, 2007 at 11:37 amOh.
A ‘great’ president who put us on offense after 911.
Would he then be a ’sucky’ president for being on defense prior to 911?
May 6th, 2007 at 11:41 amYou are not suppose to lose touch with reality until you are in the WH..
May 6th, 2007 at 11:50 amRudi, Rudi, Rudi

May 6th, 2007 at 12:51 pmDoes Rudy REALLY want to start a discussion on his judgment in making sound decisions?
o Putting the Terrorist Response HQ IN the most likely target?
o Moving his mistress into the Mayors’ Mansion to live with his wife and kids?
o Looking at the burning Towers and telling Kerick with a tear in his eye, “Thank God George Bush is our President!”
Bush and Rudy BOTH will be remembered as great leaders. And then the purple clouds will rain chocolate milk and the cow will jump over the moon.
May 6th, 2007 at 12:55 pm.
This Rudy’s one of those dumb guys, right? Thought so..
May 6th, 2007 at 1:26 pmHey, Rudy’s half right… Bush will be rmembered as “a great…
big pain-in-the-ass…”
May 6th, 2007 at 1:28 pmHey Rudy next time you get an idea, just say no. You know, like Nancy Reagan and the whole drug thing.
Maybe if you just go buy a new dress the urge to say something really stupid will pass.

May 6th, 2007 at 2:40 pm“He decided in a flash to put our country on offense against terrorism”.
Yeah, right after he finished reading “My Pet Goat”.
May 6th, 2007 at 2:55 pmRudy, you just lost my vote.
May 6th, 2007 at 3:21 pmOK Rudy, wipe the excess pearl jam off the corners of your mouth.
May 6th, 2007 at 3:30 pmI fixed the error in the quote:
“He will be, I believe, a president who will be viewed by history for this one decision as being a great KILLING president.”
May 6th, 2007 at 4:41 pmAs the primaries loom ever closer the squirrelier the Republicans get. Rudy’s barely keeping his twitching under control while Mitt Romney is on the verge of a complete meltdown. It’s going to be very interesting to see how this shakes out.

May 6th, 2007 at 9:53 pmGeorge is as great a president as Giuliani is a Bushbag!
May 7th, 2007 at 3:18 amRudy is going for the 28% electorate vote or something. This guy’s going to crash and burn.
May 7th, 2007 at 3:55 pmRudy is giving his judgment call about anything is unbelievable.
