Number of senior Bush administration aides who have “either retired or resigned from important posts at the White House, Pentagon and State Department in the past six months.” NYU professor Paul Light notes, “You would expect to see vacancies arise as things wind down, but it’s about six months early for this kind of a mass exodus.”
Rats…Ship…. No, that would be redundant.
May 7th, 2007 at 5:05 pmAny time THinkprogress would like to pick up THIS ASTOUNDING STORY about how the ENTIRE SUNNI BLOC OF GOVERNMENT IS GETTING READY TO LEAVE THE PARLIAMENT NEXT WEEK, that would be just dandy….

May 7th, 2007 at 5:06 pmthe rats that leave a sinking ship first are usually the best swimmers…
And, yes, I DO take it personally
May 7th, 2007 at 5:06 pmMaybe this will help with the unemployment problems in the U.S. And how many of those 20 who retired or bailed out because they need to spend time with family?
May 7th, 2007 at 5:09 pmAnd I bet about 18 of them have lawyered up recently, too.
May 7th, 2007 at 5:13 pmAgreed with #2
This site’s gone way downhill. As a liberal, I don’t care to read whiny pieces about how the LA Times posted 2 different editorial perspectives on the Iraq war. I’m pretty sure every newspaper in America has done something similar. Post about something that matters. If the Sunnis pull out of the government, it is OVER in Iraq, and our argument is strengthened for withdrawal.
Stop posting these stories on the fringe of relevance and start talking about things that matter. You guys are more engaged in some bicker-fest with Bill O’reilly than you are with forming a site that matters.
… And get out of Hillary’s underwear drawer for christ’s sake. There are other Democratic presidential nominees.
May 7th, 2007 at 5:17 pmAbby I say that all the time, I may be right, but it’s them that make it redundant.
May 7th, 2007 at 5:22 pmExodus: movement of Bushie people! (TO JAIL) oh-oh-oh, yea-eah!
Open your eyes and look within: (Sorry, Bushies don’t do that.)
May 7th, 2007 at 5:22 pmAre you satisfied with the life youre living? (obviously not.)
We know where we’re going; (Jail.)
We know where we’re from. (Bushie land.)
Were leaving Babylon, yall! (Babylon= Bushie Land to these people)
Were going to our fathers land. (or jail)
Anyone else see a pattern here?

I don’t see a pattern, but I think the resignations are getting closer together. Did people start resigning in December?
I am glad this is happening, it would have never happened had the Repubs maintained control. Lieberman is good for only one thing.
This is a great site by the way, only one of 5 that I have in my bookmark bar.
May 7th, 2007 at 6:12 pmIt’s a good start. But S.S. Cheney is rat-infested. More will jump ship soon.
May 7th, 2007 at 6:42 pm20 down, and hundreds to go!!!
RICO! RICO! RICO! RICO!

RICO! RICO! RICO! RICO!
RICO! RICO! RICO! RICO!
RICO! RICO! RICO! RICO!
RICO! RICO! RICO! RICO!
Boy, it sure seems like more than 20. Maybe I am confusing the number of corrupt republicans with the number that have resigned.
May 7th, 2007 at 6:53 pmI think the mass exodus should have happened six years ago when King George first spoke after his coronation.
May 7th, 2007 at 8:33 pmI think they think the Red Sea has parted, but won’t stay dry in the middle much longer…

May 7th, 2007 at 11:47 pmI’m not the one with the burden of proving “it’s about six months early for this kind of a mass exodus.â€

No, but it’s your burden to show that “More than 20 senior Clinton administration aides quit at this point in his second term”.
We’ll be waiting.
May 8th, 2007 at 12:04 am#20 Oh, Mikey, you NEVER have the burden of proof do you???
May 8th, 2007 at 12:19 amGregor, don’t bother. It is Michael. Just try to get any proof out of that one.
