Somebody needs to ask Bush “Effective at what, exactly?”.
Bush does not know what success is because he has never achieved it, in anything! So, he cannot define “success” in Iraq, domestically, with the World Bank, or in any other venue.
Bush backed Brownie during the Katrina debaucle. Brown is gone.
Bush backed Rummy during the Iraq debaucle. Rumsfeld is gone.
Bush backed Gonzo during the AG scandal. Soon to be gone.
Bush backed Wolfy during the WB scandal. Soon to be gone.
The World Bank has a great history of creating poverty. I agree is should be disbanded and replaced with people who actually know something about free market economics.
I think Wolf-Whizz should stay on. If he leaves and GDumbya gets to appoint his successor, we’ll probably end up with Patrick1 at the helm. He sure is campaigning hard for the position.
That’s right, Patrick1trickpony, Wolfie will clean up the corruption by giving his harem high paying jobs doing nothing but massaging his, er, ego.
Why don’t you call up and order some pizza? You sound like you could use with a massage too. It must be tough watching the GOP and the Neo-con revolution implode.
BUSH: “Wolfie is the man I named to this position and I will decide when he leaves. When you’re the prezident of the US of A, that’s what you get to do.”
He has to back the wolf or else the plan for the NWO wouldn’t take hold.
Let’s keep pushing this disaster back into a corner and expose them all for the scum they are. The exodus of their underlings are providing enough rope to hang them all.
What are a few ethics violations when stealing the world’s 2nd largest (known) oil reserves are at stake? Getting that oil law through Iraq’s puppet parliament and the contracts with Big Oil signed and in place before he leaves office is Bush’s priority. The “Beat-the-Clock”-stress of it has to be shredding Cheney’s arteries big time. Small consolation.
He should back him. Cleaning up that corrupt body.

It’s curious how, after creating the USA itself a world organization, the US Republicans deems that the organization is corrupt because one Republican, APPOINTED BY THE USA PRESIDENT, is corrupt. The term ‘Hipocrisy’ falls short to qualify this behavior.

But the World Bank has an history of creating poverty BY FOLLOWING THE USA REPUBLICAN ‘PERSONAL RESPONSABILITY AND FISCAL CONSERVATIVITY’ HANDBOOK, AND AFTER RENDERING THE ECONOMY OF THE COUNTRY A TOTAL FIASCO. AND, USUALLY UNDER AN USA PRESIDENT OF THE WB.
So, for you Pet1, what is most ineffective? The WB Presidents appointed by the Presidents of the USA, or the free market policy?
This administration only gives its support to ethically challenged conniving characters who do their bidding. Speak up honestly and that’s when they’re gone.
You can’t say Bush and ethics in the same sentence. It is incongrous – an oxymoron.
Of course he’d support Wolfie – he, himself, is a prime example of remaining in office despite all evidence that he should be removed.
Ethics violations are celebrated by the White House, as long as said violations are commmited by Bush loyalists. It’s how you become a made man in the crime syndicate.
White House: “Why would ethics be of any concern?”
May 8th, 2007 at 12:43 pm“You’re doing a heck of a job, Wolfie.”

Well, that’s the end of World Bank. I guess the other nations of the world will have to set up some rival institution: The Not the US Puppet Bank.

Better to stick to your ignorant feces-flinging stock-in-trade.
May 8th, 2007 at 12:53 pmI was previously defending Mr. Wolfowitz, but it might really be best for him to leave. He can be named that new War Czar!

Do you actually know what the WB is good for? Or are you just a living talking point?
You may also want to Google “World Bank Presidents”. If it is so corrupt, “Ã qui la faute?”
Or you can keep company to Richard Cohen
May 8th, 2007 at 1:58 pmOf course he supports Wolfowitz. Wolfie’s a member of the PNAC, and they’re not willing to step down, no matter how bad they’ve f*cked up.
Never mind the PNAC is f*cked up to begin with!

May 8th, 2007 at 5:33 pmHey, I agree with Patrick. For the opposite reason. The WB’s free markets lead to massive economic failure, corruption, grinding poverty, and death.
