White House struggles to fill key posts.

White House struggles to fill key posts.

“The Bush administration is facing growing difficulties in filling a rising number of high-level vacancies following a recent spate of senior departures. In the last 10 days alone Mr Bush has lost four senior officials and more resignations are expected to follow. ‘I wouldn’t describe this as disintegration,’ said one senior official. ‘But there are worrying large gaps opening up and it is very hard to recruit high-quality people from outside.’

High-quality people? Would BushCo recognize one if they saw her/him?

This is getting beyond words. There isn’t sarcasm strong enough cover this. On one hand, I think this is very funny, on the other terrifying.

    And completely unavoidable.

Did the administration really say “high-quality people”. Give me a break. This administration could find equal aptitude people down at any NAZI rally. What thier really saying is it’s getting hard to find people that are “bushies”, and support this president.

  20. Shane says:

Does anybody know a highly qualified person who would take a job at this White House? I don’t think so.

  21. Ashen Shard says:

Even if they could find a highly qualified person they probably would not take them … because that person would be liberal.

White House struggles to fill key posts

    Well, I wonder why?

Could the fact that the Bush administration is responsible for the biggest military blunder in US history have anything to do with it?

    Naahh…..

it is very hard to recruit high-quality people from outside

Given the Bush administration’s penchant for redefining words, I suspect “high-quality” means “blind Bush cult follower”.

They should send applications here. The trolls would wet the floor at the thought of being so close to their Dear (mis)Leader.

We would all kill two birds with one stone: They get “high-quality” people, we get rid of the trolls.

  26. m12 says:

  27. Ashen Shard says:

Never will we solve our troll dilemma… even with all the posts at the white house that need filling, and almost revolving door turnover, there are just too many of…. them.

  28. paul says:

m12. Even if they aren’t polling well?

  29. m12 says:

Why does that matter? Working in the White House would still be a great opportunity for any American.

I suspect there are fewer than we think, some seem to post under different aliases.

Although I do tend to agree with you -there might be too many.

    ::sigh::

Then, by all means, do not waster your time here!

    Go apply! Quickly!

Just remember to repeat it’s all Clinton’s fault, that Hussein’s WMD will eventually be found, that it’s all Clinton’s fault, that the Katrina debacle is the victims’ fault, that Clinton did it too, and that things in Iraq are just peachy. Did I mention it’s all Clinton’s fault?

  33. Mr. President says:

    yeah Clinton was a joker.

  34. kasinca says:

#33. You call Bill Clinton a joker…what do you call the alcoholic who is holed up in the bubble in the oval office now? Is that your idea of a successful occupant? I see your handle indicates you are probably a 28%er troll or troglodyte. The Bush Crime Family is the worst thing to ever happen to this great nation and only the feable minded defend them.

  35. Mr. President says:

I call him a joker as well… don’t you know my angle?

Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobedience: I heartily accept the motto, – “That government is best which governs least;” and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe, – “That government is best whichgoverns not at all; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.

  36. escapedfromLogan says:

Dude – why is the White House suddenly concerned with finding high quality people? It’s certainly never occurred to them before – hence we suffered through Brownie and all the other inept, incompetent, and inferior shrub administration officials. Then again, one certainly can’t hire competent administration officials that might make the little man currently occupying the White House look bad. (Although he does a pretty good job of that all on his own…..)

  37. Gregor Samsa says:

Sign hanging outside the White House:

Help wanted. Must be loyal to the Dear (mis)Leader, and be able to quickly think up excuses and find scapegoats for the (mis)Leader’s (mis)management mistakes and screw ups.

Being able to pick Iraq in a map, and some knowledge of its history, are nice-to-haves, but not must-have requirements.

Ability to repeat talking points ad nauseam, and second language skills (like correct English) are a plus.

In Dec. 2005, when Bush was determined to renew and expand the destructive USA Patriot Act, an aide reminded him that invasion into citizens’ private lives underminded the Constitution. Bush immediately exploded — “Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” he screamed, “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper.”

Right then. At that moment, Bush should have been removed from office.

Bush stood before the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, his hand on the Bible, and parroted, “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

When you see quo ta tion marks, that means that whatever is writen next (untill you see the another pair of quotations) is somebody else’s words.

So, when Emerson says “I heartily accept the motto – ” and then you see something in quotations, that means he is accepting a motto which someone else has come up with.

And, I would have you know that I love Paine. And I heartily accept this motto –

“I would gladly agree with all the world to lay aside the use of arms, and settle matters by negotiation; but unless the whole will, the matter ends, and I take up my musket and thank heaven he has put it in my power”

Well, MP, I would like to meet those conservatives you talk about. Because the ones occupying the White House at this moment, don’t believe in a small government. Their supporters most certainly do not either -even as they claim they do.

As for not giving to people who haven’t done anything worthwhile, they haven’t followed that rule either: They have packed government post after government post with inefficient, corrupt, unqualified, and overall unworthy cronies.

Unless, of course, you think being a crony is a worthy qualification.

Interesting statement… it’s just the opposite of what Jesus would do. Jesus gave to the poor and he fed the hungry and they didn’t have to do anything to earn his kindness. Just like I thought, conservatives are all about themselves… they are the “me, look at me, it’s all for me” group.
