Wait, Legal counsel in the American legal community might be held to account for legal violations.

But I thought there were no peer reviews; I thought the lawyers could do no wrong; I thought the standards of conduct mean attorneys could keep their head in the sand and do nothing about illegal activity.

Still don’t think people see that these guys were planning and placing people for the last generation.When the time came they were ready to attackevery aspect of the government agencies.
They knew exactly what they need to control to gain total control and how to eliminate any obstacles.
The whole process is to open the doors to the vault and keep them open until not only is all the gold gone but all the new gold doesn’t even make it.

This is what happens when no one checks the goods when they are dropped at the door..
This is not some new behavior he took up after getting stuck in this position.He has been well fed, cared for and rewarded over the years for the exact same thing.
Just like the rest who were “brought on” years ago, trained and rewarded, they think they owe Where They Think They Are to who has been feeding, caring for and rewarding them all along.
When the stick gets thrown they run right after it.They don’t check to see if anyone is watching.
They know the treats are waiting and the food bowl is full.
Maybe someone should call SPCA.

As McKay states to the Seattle Times, this will only get worse….much worse and criminal charges will come out of it against Rove and Gonzales. Those two will ultimately see prison time for all of this.

Besides, isn’t it a “double” obstruction of justice?? The first obstruction of justice is the actual firing for political reasons and their attempt to obstruct justice in the investigation of Republicans.

The second obstruction of justice could be launched against Gonzales right now as he refuses to furnish all of the missing emails.

Couldn’t Congress request obstruction of justice proceedings against all of the other Departments who are refusing to turn over the emails which were sent to them by Karl Rove using the RNC account?

We’ve clearly got “obstruction of justice” all over the place….in every cronies position….and throughout this entire administration happening right now. Let’s throw the book at the whole sorry lot of them. Good riddance to bad rubbish, as they say!

Gonzales is such a shoe shine boy! The Bush’s used him as a token Mexican and he actually thinks he’s a close friend. This guy is the biggest butt kisser in history. Just because a guy gives you a job, there’s no reason to loss your creditability and honesty for him. If my boss asks me to break the law, there’s no way I’m doing it. But apparently Gonzo is a dedicated butt kissin moron who doesn’t realize that Bush won’t be President forever. He will have to get a real job after he leaves by being fired for resigning. I suppose as long as he can turn his back on Mexican Americans and kiss up to the man, he’s satisfied.

He reminds of the house slave that got treated better than regular slaves, but was still a slave. He might get a chance to be in the master’s house and drive the horse buggy, but he’s nothing but a house boy.

I understand your frustration, but remember, these people are Republicans. They only care about themselves, so they were perfectly willing to turn a blind eye while others suffered. It wasn’t until they were personally affected by losing their jobs or were in a position to profit on a book deal that they blew the whistle.

We just have to expect Republican behavior from Republicans.

What is wrong with these people. Why were they willing to sit there and watch this country being destroyed? I include Dick Durbin in this batch. He said that the Democrats on the intelligence committee knew that Bush was telling the US public something they were not seeing in the intelligence. Well, if I was Mr. Durgin, I would have told the public that they were being sold a bill of goods. I wouldn’t tell them what intelligence we were seeing because that would violate federal law. But I don’t think there is any law against telling the public that they are being played as fools.

I wonder how these people sleep at night knowing what they have done. May god have mercy on their souls, they are going to need it.

This is what’s been pissing me off. The attorneys, George Tenet, other ex-administration officials who are now writing books and blabbing on the talk shows, they all kept quiet at the time. Not one of them, apparently, has a conscience, or honor, or integrity, or real patriotism. If any of the attorneys had spoken up about this meeting, Gonzales might have been ousted back then. If George Tenet had spoken up about (supposedly) Cheney misusing what Tenet said about ’slam dunk’, or had tried to convince the WHIGs that they were way off course, maybe this war wouldn’t have happened, or, at least, maybe fewer soldiers would have died. These people are scum.
