Mueller distances himself from Gonzales.

By Nico Pitney on May 9th, 2007 at 11:56 am

Mueller distances himself from Gonzales.

“FBI Director Robert Mueller kept his distance from embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales during a breakfast meeting with reporters,” even while calling former CIA Director George Tenet his “good friend.” “Despite repeated questions, Mueller refused to comment on whether Gonzales should step down or whether his ability to lead the Justice Department has been impaired by the furor over his decision to remove eight U.S. attorneys in December.”

Watching the DOJ fall apart one day at a time. There can’t be too many days left before Humpty Dumpty falls down.

I’d like to see the whole country “distance” themselves from all these politicians in government, and get a whole new leadership.

Someone must be held accountable for the many many crimes that have been committed.

It’s sad, IMO, that the founders didn’t include formal sanctions or punishments for politicians that didn’t follow the constitution. So, what do we end up with? “Leaders” who do what they want – with impunity.

Gonzales is a pox on our legal system. Merely a sympton of rampant Bush and Cheneyism.

Appearing near Gonzo might be interpreted as support – anyone with half a brain would step back from Gonzo – the man is so clearly “Bush league” – I look forward to his next appearance before the committee.

That’s why i saw Mueller walking around with that 10-foot pole.

And your asking the director of the FBI these questions? Just what kind of insight do you think this law enforcement officer would have into matters of law?
Secrets are his game. Just ask Dickhead cheney.

Wasn’t Mueller quick to point the finger at the Clinton’s after 9/11? And now the guy wants to distance himself from the Bushes,as well? History’s final judgement has a dank, foul-smelling little alcove reserved for Mr. Mueller and the other careerists who just went with the flow.

  11. oldtree says:

this guy is best friends with “tentits” but he is worried about being seen with gonzo?

this must be a career criminal. forgot, appointed by who? how can any american respect the DOJ with such people in charge? it is a very bad joke
