OK, Karl Rove is officially listed as the President’s Political Adviser.

Why does he have an office in the WH?

WHO pays his salary as the Political Adviser?

If he is being paid by taxpayer dollars it shouldn’t be happening.

I found it curious how all those Republicans kept trying to change the subject during the hearing. If you don’t have a serious question pertaining directly to the inquiry, keep your G-damned mouth shut and let the grown-ups ask the questions! They sure didn’t seem to mind the distraction to the White House during several never-ending investigations during the Clinton Administration. They seemed to be going on for the duration of his presidency (White Water, Monica etal). I don’t recall Executive Privilege being invoked even once. Matter of fact I believe Clinton himself asked for a special prosecutor to investigate Whitewater and allowed any and all of his people to testify ad nauseum. After six years of relentless investigating, the only thing they could pin on him was that he got his pp licked. We are now investigating what could very possibly be a deep-rooted Federally offensive attempt to politicize the Justice Dept, US Attorneys and who knows what else! DO NOT GIVE IN TO THESE GOP CHEERLEADERS! CALL A LIAR A LIAR AND LET’S START IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS ASAP! IF THESE RIGHT WING LAWMAKERS/BREAKERS WON”T BACK IT UP AT LEAST THEY’LL BE SEEN FOR WHAT THEY ARE…BUSH MOUTHPIECES!

The problem was that they underestimated their cheating margin. They set it at 4% and the Democrats and Independents voted at 6%. I guess next time they will set their bar at 6%. But I suspect even that will be too low. I suspect the next election is going to be a Republic blood bath. Note to the Democrats…. It’s time to take up voting as an issue. If we wait too much longer, they will have their cheat in place and it will be harder to combat. I suggest that the first thing the Democrats should do is to outlaw electronic voting unless the voting machine is under total control of the election officials including have full disclosure of source code. One of my favorite talk show hosts, Thom Hartmann says that the minute we turn over our voting to private companies, we have done serious damage to democracy.

Based on the exit polls (which had been accurate within 0.2 %), Voter News Service estimated that Gore won Florida by 7.0% or over 300,000 votes.

That’s forgetting about the 175,000 votes that were not counted or the 57,000 non-felons kicked off the rolls as felons. Both of these two groups were heavily pro-Gore.

Rove was executive director of the College Republicans 1972-73 and was hired by Nixon’s dirty trickster Donald Segretti. Segretti’s men did such things as steal letterheads from Democratic headquarters and print slander on Ed Muskie which sabotaged his campaign.

Palast acquired a copy of a “caging list” from the 04 election, that was sent to a wrong email addressâ€” one of the cc’d individuals happens to be none other Mr. Tim Griffin. Sound familiar? Gee now he is a U.S. Atty looking for Voter Fraud by the “opposition”â€” any way to negate more votes but make it look legal by using the supposed impartial Justice Dept.

Oh, and Griffin’s title when he received the emailed caging list: Research Director and Communications Director, Republican National Committee.

Now don’t you think it’s time we got all those rnc.com emails to and from Rove? or gwb.com emails?

You know day after day this is just getting more and more insane, can anyone really list all the investigations, indictments, etc. of these criminals….it is really troubling….and very sick, really. Makes me really wonder if I may have to move to a civilized county, this one is soooooo off track, seems to be regressive. CORRECTION

I had to look it up since I had read that chapter a few days ago, and 100,000 sounded low.

here are the spoilage numbers from the book:

Official number reported to the federal gov’t Election’s Assistance Commission is: 1,855,827 ballots cast not counted.

Corrected for underreporting by embarrassed states, cities and counties, the number goes up to 3,006,380 votes cast but not counted.

This is public knowledge- “on a U.S. Census Bureau announcement 7 months after the electionâ€”in a footnote to the report on voter turnout. the Census tabulation of voters “differs,” it reads, from ballots tallied by the Clerk of the House of Representatives for the 2004 presidential race by 3.4 million votes.”

This is also not including the millions that prevented from voting in the first place.

This book is chock full of nuggets that will make your blood boil.

check out Greg Palast’s book, Armed Madhouse, He lays out exactly how Rove and co. steal elections. Using claims of voter fraud and purging the voter rolls of the eligible, and not counting upwards of possible 100,000 votes nationwide. That include provisional ballots, overseas ballots, absentee ballots… And the use of caging lists.

It is one of the most disturbing books I have read recently.

This is worth the 15 bucks to get yourself armed with the knowledge of how it is going to go down in 08.
