Ho Chih Minh was a supposedly a pastry chef for Escoffier after World War I although I don’t think there is any real evidence of this

What the GOP doesn’t want is for blacks to be a permanent underclass beholden to Democrats. Democrats benefit most from blacks remaining powerless because when blacks achieve a level of financial success, they are more likely to vote conservative. And that just burns Democrats up!

I’m sorry, but that statement is only made by true racists. I’m not sure why every liberal reading this hasn’t jumped on it yet. Oh, wait, now I see. It’s because you are also a liberal and the same standards don’t apply to liberals as to conservatives.

Most folks here don’t believe in God, unknown, so they’ll be there right along with Hitler. But they won’t jump on you about it because you’re African American. See, they react differently to you because you are African American and that trumps your belief in God.

Oh no, Byrd hasn’t quoted any Klan leaders in a long time has he? But then, he didn’t just quote one like Poe did. He WAS a KKK leader wasn’t he. Which is worse; quoting the military strategy of a KKK man or BEING a KKK man? Difficult decision.

The quote, which no serious Civil War historian believes was made by Forrrest, had nothing to do with racism. Trying to twist everything the Republicans say into some sort of racist remark serves no good purpose. There are so many things that the adminstration and Congress need to be held accountable for without resorting to pointless gotchas. I’m sure they love it when those of us on this side go off on some meaningless bit of trivia while much larger crimes go unnoticed.
