“I am gladly escaping the ‘Plantation,”»

wrote one African-American 33-year veteran of the Justice Department upon her retirement from the Civil Rights division. The division, and the voting rights section in particular, “has seen a dramatic drain in African-American staff over the past few years. And a number of those who have remained have alleged discrimination — according to a knowledgable source, at least two African-American employees have filed Equal Employment Opportunity complaints against their supervisors, claiming they’ve routinely been passed over for promotions given to white staff.”

Oh well, so much for Karl’s attempts at expanding the base of the g.o.p. into the African-American community.

  2. Zimzone Says:

AG, the AG, is going down as the most incompetent, politicized varmint ever to crawl into the DoJ.

Of course, the same is true of his supervisors at the White House, eh?

  3. Dale Says:

Why bother promoting African-Americans in this department; they’ll just be lumped into the same class as Ms. Rice and Mr. Powell.

  4. Monica Goodling Says:

Well, like, they were Democrats, I’m so sure!

  5. Spudge_Boy Says:

They will only be lumped into that class if they are NeoCon cultists that support war over the will of the people, removing our Constitutional rights for a little “security” and will support corruption over the will of the people.

  6. Tom3 Says:

Chimpy and Gonzo have absolutely DESTROYED the US Civil Rights Division.

They and their Repuke goons have systematically gutted this agency to the point where it is no longer effective.

Chimpy doesn’t care about voting rights…his party disenfranchised thousands of black voters in 2000 and 2004.

None of my brothers will ever fall for the Republican lies ever again.

  8. CompTROLLER V-1 Says:

Mr. President is going to have some explaining to do….

  9. buckles Says:

Are middle-aged neo-con white guys really that insecure, or is it just a general dislike of anyone but the good ol’ boys? What pathetic little men.

  10. Tom3 Says:

This isn’t accidental at all. This is just one agency in the entire Federal government that has been Chimpyized. All decent Federal employees have been replaced with good Bushies who are incompetent cronies.

The goal is to systematically derail the Federal government and bend it to the will of the Neocon New World Order.

They don’t want you to have any civil rights.

That’s true, they see the manipulation of Condi and Colin and are smarter than the wingnuts that want them to vote against their own self interests. Condi however proves how st*pid educated individuals can still be.

  13. big papa Says:

    What’s the problem?

Just have the “Plantation massas” apologize,…

….accept personal responsibility for the racist atmosphere the Repulsivescum have created…

…and we can all move forward…

    …forgive and forget…

  14. Mr. President Says:

If the “plantation” means “somewhere in which you actually have to get off your lazy ass and work for a living” then this negro has another thing coming.

oh come on! All of us have been bigots at one point. Self righteousnes is unbecoming.
Praise to a person who lasts 33 years of public service at one job. More praise to that person who must work among bigots, knowing full well a better situation is a dicey one at best.
Bigotry will be with us until people realize their self-actualization comes from within, not from putting others down.
