Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington reports that it “has learned that the Department of Education can’t provide complete information relating to its troubled ‘Reading First’ program, because relevant e-mails were sent from private accounts.”
Sauce for the goose…..
May 16th, 2007 at 2:03 pmMore corruption and I guarantee the trolls will defend it.
May 16th, 2007 at 2:03 pmThe new ‘buzz phrase’: “relevant e-mails were sent from private accounts.â€
May 16th, 2007 at 2:10 pmread: we don’t have to tell you anything -
Now we see why the republicans are soooo very interested in ‘privatizing’ everything: CYA (cover you assets).
Note to Democrats:
Milk these violations for all they are worth. Private companies in a number of industries – where using private email addresses violates numerous legal obligations – would have their balls chopped off if they allowed these lapses.
The amount of time and money spent by firms blocking access to private email accounts, retaining all electronic communcations, and reviewing and updating the relevant technologies is immense. And all because the Gubmint has decreed that you have to do all this stuff.
The idea that the Gubmint – and the f*cking DoJ of all places – can’t get their sh*t together in this area is a sick joke. The topic in its own right is a bit dry until you have, eg an attorney purge scandal, but this is a big deal in large parts of the business community… if there’s one thing we like less than costly, unnecessary bureaucracy, it’s hypocrisy on the part of people who put us through the pain.
May 16th, 2007 at 2:21 pmHATCH ACT VIOLATION! Fire them all and bring charges. They know the rules; their opted to break them. Congress needs to bring charges against anyone/everyone who “aided and abetted” this unprecedented “obstruction of justice” in ALL department of Bush’s Administration.
It’s “cryin’ time” and they jumping the sinking ship like a slew of rats. Let them sing for some leniency; otherwise, they all must pay the price for breaking the laws of this country.
May 16th, 2007 at 2:36 pmP.S. IT’S THE OLD INDIAN TRICK: ‘NO PAPER TRAIL’ but, unfortunately in doing so, they’ve broken the law.
May 16th, 2007 at 2:37 pmThe people have no mercy or empathy for these flagrant law breakers – the people want to see them punished accordingly and, unless they are, the people will not rest until they are!
May 16th, 2007 at 2:38 pmANONE SMELLING MORE OF ROVE-REICH’S FINGERPRINTS ON THIS ONE???? Karl Rove is evil incarnate.

May 16th, 2007 at 3:00 pmPSS, it’s the white men who invented the “no paper trail”….
….treaty after treaty disappeared “back east”…
No paper trail left behind? Maybe more standardized testing might be needed. No thinking needed. Just be sure to use a number 2 pencil. If you wish to change your answer besure to erase your mark completely. You may begin now.
