Yesterday we noted a measure sponsored by Rep. Robert Andrews (D-NJ) that would have blocked funds authorized for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from being used for a military strike on Iran. That amendment was just defeated, 216-202. Twenty-nine Democrats opposed the measure, 6 Republicans supported it.
Who were those 29 traitors??? They need to be targetted for electoral elimination!
May 16th, 2007 at 9:16 pmWell, i quess Iran’s next.
May 16th, 2007 at 9:17 pmWho were the other 28 besides Lieberman?
May 16th, 2007 at 9:19 pmLoonie, it was the House so it was 29 traitors (plus Lieberman because you know which way he would vote).

May 16th, 2007 at 9:35 pmIf your representive is on this list, you know what to do.
Dems can’t get their shit together. That’s why this crap continues to happen, even though we’re the majority.
Will the Repukes use this against the Dems, come election time?
May 16th, 2007 at 9:35 pmYou bet.
RU, thanks for the list. It is John Murtha (R-WI). In inbred Rep from my state, unfortunately.
May 16th, 2007 at 9:37 pmOk, I was not thinking straight. John Murtha is only a state rep. Jack voted against it because he is a hawk. He always has been and he always will be. He is no savior.
May 16th, 2007 at 9:39 pmAnd Pelosi fails yet again.
May 16th, 2007 at 9:45 pmJ Park, there must be more to it, like he doesn’t want any funds for Iraq, period, so this would vote to fund the Iraq war but put the cash off limits for Iran, Maybe
May 16th, 2007 at 9:46 pmI am thinking there is nothing to lose for him. If we funnel funds to Iran (maybe he supports a strike) from Iraq then that would mean a wind-down of the Iraq war, which he does not support.
May 16th, 2007 at 9:51 pmVoting not to block use of Iraq/Afghanistan funds for the War with Iran is, actually, approving the use of funds to wage war with Iran.
What the hell good are the democrats. I’m so old I remember when all the Southern Republicans were yellow-dog democrats. Thanks to the advances of civil rights the converted to Republicans and became the Moral Majority.
Moral Majority to me is two lies with two words.
Bring it on! Why should we stockpile 10,000 nukes if we never get to use them. Drop them there or they will drop them here.
Roll Tide.

May 16th, 2007 at 10:16 pmThe Feingold amendment to what?
May 16th, 2007 at 10:19 pm#15-JPARK
“Amendment To Provide For Transition Of The Iraqi Mission”.
It calls for ending most US military operations in Iraq by end of April next year(2008).
May 16th, 2007 at 10:38 pmThanks, tarazan. Looking over that list I am not surprised at about 90% of them. It is a sad commentary on the Democratic party. Really only Levin, Rockefeller and maybe McCaskill surprise me.
May 16th, 2007 at 10:42 pmNow, do anyone actually thinks DEMOCRACY is what you have?
May 16th, 2007 at 11:00 pmFirst, Feingold-Reid overwhelmingly defeated; now this.
Not a good day for the congressional Democrats.
May 16th, 2007 at 11:24 pmGood for the corporatocracy, Exley. Congratulations.

May 16th, 2007 at 11:41 pm29 House Democrats are complete scum who must retire from Congress. I bet they are Blue-Dogs and worthless Democrats.

Dem or Repub, a politician is a politician and the majority of them can be counted upon to disappoint sooner or later.

What a st*pid statement. That’s like saying a political ideology is a political ideology, therefore Hitler’s Nazis are the same as all other ideologies. You’re a fool.
May 17th, 2007 at 1:21 amGambino’s v. Genovese’s – that’s all it is. Our political leaders and MSM gain power and “ratings” through fear and Iran is just another boogeyman to keep us little brats hiding under the sheets at night. The fact that the majority of Iranians are trying to rise up against the leadership there is not important, what is important is continuing the farce.
On a side note, I saw an ad for the Silver Surfer movie with big bold letters shouting, “RISE UP.” – Just curious, do you think more American’s will rise up for a CGI surfer than have for our naton’s soldiers and the future of our nation?
OK, dumb question… it’s like asking if more American’s are concerned about voting for the leader of the free world than a motley crew of prissy singers competing to be vacuous pop stars with no purpose or feeling behind their art other than to shuck out shit for the unwashed masses to buy.
May 17th, 2007 at 2:16 amI just looked up Blue Dog Democrats list on Google and the 29 Dems are Conservative Blue Dogs. Their loyality is to themselves and staying in office no matter who they have to screw over. Democratic Party would be wise to seek replacements for every one of them.
May 17th, 2007 at 2:29 am#22
Calling a Democrat worthless is kind of like calling water wet. It’s redundant!
May 17th, 2007 at 3:28 am“And Pelosi fails yet again.” –m12
Only a fool would blame Pelosi for the existence of the Blue Dog Coalition,
who have supported Bushco warmaking the whole way down the line. Maybe they weren’t elected legally, using the vote-fraud, or maybe they were, but they are an INHERITANCE, not something that is in any way Pelosi’s fault.
So quit attacking our heroes.
May 17th, 2007 at 3:39 ame Simple Truth: US will attack Iran is a Hoax, used to cover-up the horrible truth.

Hey, these are your people, your party, your Congress, your responsibilty.
If you guys really want to cut and run, I suggest choosing a more effective Speaker.
May 17th, 2007 at 7:08 amMaybe the democrats are against this stuff ONLY because they wanted to be the ones to lead America into Iraq.
I mean its not like just about every single thing that should be held sacred in this country has not been undermined. They should have a long list of things that give them all the moral indignation they need to call this whole situation out…. kick Israels influence OUT of our government… and start making this country into the real America again…. yet….. they dont.
They want to be hawkish? Then build a damn missle defense system that makes Irans and everybody elses nuke ambitions a waste of money. DEFENSE is just as honorable (and smarter) than showing Iran and everyone else that we can kick their asses…. We got nukes… and not just one or two and not just first generation either… everyone already knows we can kill them all… we dont need to push that point any more.

Oh yeah, you’re right, anus. There haven’t been any crooked Democrats. They’ve never taken any gifts/trips/money from lobbyists. They’ve never sold their votes.
May 17th, 2007 at 9:14 amWTF?????? Under what rock have you been living?
Zack Space is on c-span Washington Journal right now.
Call him!
May 17th, 2007 at 9:27 amJust because the majority are Democrats does not mean that they are all stupid , well at least 29 of them are not.
May 17th, 2007 at 10:42 amUnreal. It’s time for new Dems.
