  2. Republicans are the Fear and Smear Party says:

Gonzo, stop making an ass of yourself and holding the US justice system to ridicule and just resign. Put America first for once.

What did you have in mind? :)

Are you expressing a lack of confidence in Gonzales?

Gonzo is Bush’s firewall against scandal. With him gone, there are few at Justice willing to step up and be the next chief administration spear-catcher. Bush wouldn’d dare recess-appoint some flack, and the now-democratic Senate won’t let another Gonzo get past them. Bush probably already has spoken with Gonzo’s possible replacement.

Hey Think Progress………I keep looking for an article on Murtha’s House Rules Violations……….I can’t find it. Can you please write an article on this ethics violation? It would go a long way in helping us believe your mission statement applies across the board.

Here is a little help: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0507/4068.html

Something tells me I’ll be waiting a long time………hope you prove me wrong but I’m not holding breath.

Wow!!!! I knew I was right, but I didn’t think it would be announced this quickly……

Just in: N.Korea ready to sign denuclearization treaty and US to officially end Korean War.

I’ll have a nice weekend knowing I nailed it. Let’s see how the libs spin this into negative news somehow. When US Policy is given time to work, it’s amazing what can happen. Another positive result of great US Policy for regime change in Iraq. Keep up the great work Condoleeza! Iran regime change is next.

I just have that feeling Z that it just isn’t right.

Maybe we can learn to love instead of hate? :-P

  15. Thinking Person says:

Finally! Salazar, a Democrat, has been a huge disappointment in letting his shared ethnicity with Gonzales blind his judgment. Closing your eyes to the fact that bad folks exist in every color is, in itself, is a kind of racism. Not a good trait in a leader.

Since TP doesn’t take suggestions for articles from posts, send it to the “got a hot tip” in the right collumn.

Since they rarely follow suggestions of regular posters, I doubt that a troll such as yourself would carry much weight.

It will show which Representatives are willing to go on record supporting Gonzales, the Attorney General who gave us torture, Military Commissions, turned the Department of Justice into the Department of Republican Justice, and generally tossed much of the United States Constitution into the toilet.

But I would as soon go for impeachment.

  18. trueblue says:

It does not call for an investigation by the Ethics Committee.

    Hmmmmm……..

So no investigation is warranted, yet you want TP to cover it?

Basically, you want TP to cover two guys’ pissing match?

    No, sorry.
I think they are up to their eyeballs covering investigations of this corrupt Administration and pretty much every Republican member of Congress.

  19. Tom3 says:

Sen. Salazar (DINO-CO) is a close personal friend of Gonzo.

And since Gonzo is a flaming Nancy boy, I wonder about Kenny Salazar.

  20. Briseadh na Faire says:

18 – and we were doing so good at ignoring the troll’s attempts to derail the thread….

  21. Tom3 says:

    Go to Iraq, chickenhawk.

That’s what I’m looking for. It would be embarrassing as hell to have the Republicans impeach Bush.

    From his link:

Report: U.S. willing to make peace with North Korea by September

SEOUL — The United States is willing to sign a peace treaty with North Korea to formally end the 1950-53 Korean War by September, the U.S. ambassador to South Korea reportedly told lawmakers here.
U.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow said Washington hopes to complete a process of normalizing diplomatic ties with Pyongyang, according to Kim Jong-Yul from the ruling Uri Party.

Kim released to local media a transcript that had been translated into Korean following a May 9 closed-door meeting between Vershbow and five Uri Party lawmakers, including Rep. Kim Hyuk-Kyu, a close confidant of President Roh Moo-Hyun.

The meeting was arranged to discuss security policies after a recent visit to North Korea by a group of Uri lawmakers led by Kim Hyuk-Kyu. The lawmakers said they conveyed North Korea’s denuclearization commitment to Vershbow at the meeting.

The United States “is prepared to sign a peace treaty to formally end the Korean War and establish a permanent peace regime [on the Korean peninsula] ahead of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation [APEC] forum in September,” Vershbow said according to a copy of the transcript obtained by East-Asia-Intel.

“The Bush administration has its intention and goal to resolve [the nuclear] issue in a diplomatic manner before he leaves office. But it does not have much time.”

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul denied the remarks, saying the ambassador had been misquoted.

“The U.S. government is not seeking any other milestones beyond those stipulated in the six-party talks including the September 2005 Joint Statement of principles and the Feb. 13 agreement,” the U.S. Embassy said in a statement

Poor Eric. His life must be a roller coaster of elation and depression. Wait until he figures out that this “breakthrough” is being denied by the US ambassador, and is little more than a political ploy by certain URI party lawmakers.

On a positive note, Eric’s link did present a story about the US importing North Korean beer. Something I would try, if its consumer safety could be guaranteed.

  28. Eric says:

    Barfy:
Learn comprehensive reading. Your bold only applies to whether or not it would happen before Bush leaves office. Everything else is accurate. Thanks for proving my point that only libs can find bad news when peace is achieved through strength.

  29. Eric says:

Just in: Al Jazeera and Think Progress join forces to thwart US efforts to win war against terrorism. Both organizations agreed that only through constant propaganda could public support be undermined. Spokespersons from both groups acknowledeged that truth cannot stand in the way of achieving what worked during the Vietnam War. They are looking for their Walter Cronkite to persuade the American People to give up and submit to defeat. If another blood-bath occurs due to a pull-out of US and international forces, at least it will be a defeat of the current administration.

Yeah, you are such a genius, if only in your own mind. lmao

Reread barfly’s post again, slowly and learn some reading comprehension yourself, genius boy. =D

Poor Eric. Lashing out at others supposed lack of reading comprehension, without understanding the depth of his own profound illiteracy. The “source ” is suspect, the ambassador’s office denies the remarks were ever made, and yet I have a reading problem. Riiight.

It’s four years into an unjust war of aggression; just when does the peace part kick in? ‘Cause we’re going broke looking for the ponies and rainbows you guys promised us.

  35. Briseadh na Faire says:

    Peace through strength is oppression.

    Oppression creates terrorists.

    Peace through strength creates terrorists.

True strength rests in turning the other cheek.

True peace can only be attained through non-violence and the rule of law.
