It was pretty stupid but for once I am on McCain’s side. What he said (and I am paraphrasing) was something to the effect that the details that Cornyn was trying to tie up was basically just “chickenshit stuff”–this led to Cornyn saying to McCain that he was not usually around and had “just dropped in” and then McCain let Cornyn have it with the f word.

Believe me–if you think the language during a Conferee debate is pure and graceful, you couldn’t be more wrong. Things get really coarse. However, 20 years ago, there was a lot more civility than there is in the House and the Senate and I blame it on the Republicans.

I can’t stand Cornyn–I am just sorry he didn’t hit a triple and say it to Sessions, Cornyn and Imhofe!! I would have paid to see that. I’m waiting for some Democrat to tell Holy Joe to go get stuffed.
