Yes, indeed, Bush is the shining beacon of freedom of speech and dissent. His own staff can’t even give him any bad news. He fires US Attorneys investigating Republicans, he fires military officers he’s supposed to be listening to when they tell him something he doesn’t want to hear, he spies on Quakers (Quakers for the love of Christ!) for speaking out against his manical policy of death and destruction, journalists are “embedded” and hence no videos of human suffering in Iraq ever surface in the US media, and taxpayers are forcibly ejected from taxpayer-funded events merely for arriving in a car with a “no blood for oil” bumper sticker on it. Yeah, this guy’s what’cha call a “freeeee speeeech adddd- vucccc – uttttt heh heh heh.”

Go back to sleep.

Moore, you in a different America from 7 years ago. Bush is attempting to control free speech and strip us all, except his elite cronies, of our liberties we have taken for granted for so many years.

Yes. For instance, 7 years ago you wouldn’t have been able to read about Bush crushing free speach on one of the 7 billion blogs critical of him on pretty much every issue imaginable.

Remind us again of the campaign against free speach Bush has waged. Was it the Don Imus thing ?

This “OMG I can’t believe I did that” moment does come after the explanation of why you wouldn’t have to (apart from being able to say you did) and absent of any explanation of why you think “there’s a 20% chance” this would happen.

Well if this passes a credibility smell test and will be republished I would recommend every protester on every issue from now on wear a bullet proof vest, just so they can declare:

“OMG I can’t believe I had to wear a bulletproof vest at my protest so the cops wouldn’t shoot me dead, but I had to even if there was only 40% chance it would happen”.

Then get this reprinted as though it wasn’t a promotional stunt.

I believe the fact that the U.S. had previously supported Iraq is common knowledge.

Sadaam was indeed BAD. One has to wonder then why Rumsfeld was photographed shaking his hand. The real reason why Sadaam was convicted and executed for only a small fraction of his many crimes, was to prevent the light of day from shining on America’s record of support for the Butcher of Baghdad.

How many times can he be executed? Why waste time and money? The families of those he killed got their satisfaction whether he was convicted of the crime or not. He hanged for it. You have the nerve to say “IF Sadaam was so bad?”

And as far as the new jobs are concerned, they are mostly low-paying service sector jobs. If the Bush Administration was honest, they would county all of the unemployed. The unemployment rate is based on people who are still getting unemployment benefits. If you have run out your benefits then you are not counted. I fail to see how someone who has run out of unemployment benefits and still has not found a job is somehow magically no longer “unemployed”.

And thanks for the stats on the Stock Market. All that shows is that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. How many middle income and low income people do you know who own any stocks?
