Military took a year to fill ‘urgent’ equipment request.

The Marine Corps “waited over a year before acting on an ‘priority 1 urgent’ request to send blast-resistant vehicles to Iraq.” As Danger Room notes, “the request for over 1,000 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles came in February, 2005. A formal call to fulfill that order did not emerge until November, 2006.” Approximately 1,373 U.S. soldiers have been killed by roadside bombs in Iraq.

They needed these guys to die so they could blame Iran for the IED’s so we could send in the carrier groups to fulfill Dick Cheney’s thirst for blood. See, they didn’t die in vain?

February 2005 to November 2006 is almost two years. I wonder how many of our military we lost during that period to roadside bombs.

Yeah, this administration really takes good care of our troops. The only time the Bush Crime Family is willing to buy new equipment for the troops is if one of their cronies gets the contract. If not, tough tittie.

Bush and the Republics who enable him are a disgrace. I am ashamed to admit that I am an American. I feel like the neoCONS have stolen my country right out from under me.

  3. President Clinton says:

Hello, I know how the military works.

there were not such thing as blast resistant vehicles. When the request was made experimintation on these vehicles were on its early stages.

Geez, I am no longer in office and I know this.

Now that the vehicles have proven themselves worthy, now we can send them to Iraq.

I mean, I know, I saw it, the military can’t win with left wingers.

If the military would have send these vehicles before they were truly blast resistant, we left wingers would be crying about how irresponsible the military is.

besides, how can we on the left, who claim to support our troops yell at the military. The military is made up of these troops that we on the left claim to support and love so much.

You can always move to Canada, France, Britain, Iraq, Iran, N. Kora, Cuba, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Somolia, Nigeria…

I bet you that N. Koran, Iran, Cuba and Venezuela would allow you to become a citizen of their country with open arms.

I always receive calls from them asking me if I want to become a citizen of their country.

Obviously they do lay down the law, they tell me that I will not have freedom of speech, press, religion.

and while I would have loved it to clam down on the imbeciles that dared insult me, I do enjoy putting Bush down.

  5. Republicans are the Fear and Smear Party says:

This is typical of the republican administration supporting the troops.

  6. Bob Elliott says:

Congress should have approved the budget to get the funds to the troops.

You cannot blame the Marines for the delay when it was Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid sticking it to the Corps.

Let us put the blame where it belongs, on the Democrats who control both houses of congress and who do all they can to keep the military familes on food stamps and the Marines short on Hummers.

God bless America, Our President George Bush and the United States Marine Corps.
