Me too. I just constantly remind myself that everything that W says is a lie and I’m never surprised.

So…does he get to keep the 150k? Was it for services rendered… or services to be rendered when he took his govt post? Would love to know- doubt anyone will cover it though.

It’s all about the money. Maybe Ralph Reed can get the job he worked hard for the GOP using God’s name to get votes for the Satan Administration. Wolfie needs another job or save the job for Bush’s old friend Jack Abramoff. American has changed to everyone for themselves as we follow the lead of the Bush Administration.

Recess coming up. This may not be over.

    No underlying crime.

    Clinton did it too.

I saw a report somewhere that Harry Reid had a plan to keep some local senators available during the recess so that, technically, no recess would exist. Good plan if he can make it work.

To gummitch. Reid has a strategy for long recesses, but I don’t think for short recesses.

Excellent…I was wondering a few days ago if just such a thing was possible…eliminate all this “recess appointment” garbage by eliminating the recesses themselves.

Let’s hope enough CongressCritters are sufficiently motivated to stop this tin-pot tyrant to give up their recesses.

    Recess appointment incoming…

Yeah, no conflict of interest there, no sir, manufacturing lobbyist incharge of Consumer Safety.
There’s no way those razor sharp edges on childrens toys can cause any damage, approved, next…

“Extraordinary $150,000,” Thinkprogress? That sounds pretty normal to me, given that his government job would have possibly paid him less. It acts as a decent offset to help him transition.

#12 ~ There will be no recess until 2008.

    There. Fixed it for you.

There won’t be LONG recesses. From Talking Points Memo http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/014234.php

“Apparently, Harry Reid’s office has an idea. (via Memeorandum)

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has a little trick up his sleeve that could spell an end to President Bush’s devilish recess appointments of controversial figures like former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton. We hear that over the long August vacation, when those types of summer hires are made, Reid will call the Senate into session just long enough to force the prez to send his nominees who need confirmation to the chamber. The talk is he will hold a quickie “pro forma” session every 10 days, tapping a local senator to run the hall.

Senate workers and Republicans are miffed, but Reid is proving that he’s the new sheriff in town.”

Don’t put it past Bush to find a day, any day, when the Congress is out to do this. That’s what he did in April.

Dang! These corporate wh0res aren’t cheap. Wolfie, 400k, Mickey 150k, and never did any job…
