Leslie SHOULD love babies! Her mom had 6 of them because she was a Welfare Queen married to a local drunk who is STILL the laughing stock of Sioux Falls! His I.Q. has been (seriously!) measured at 88! Well, Leslie, let's take all the illegal anchor babies and put them on YOUR doorstep to raise.

Who the hell told YOU that you are licensed to tell women how to live their lives? Your mom was 6 months pregnant with Lanell, your older sister, when she married your dad and you still are transferring guilt all over kingdom come! You know, the louder you protest, the more we know you have been perfectly miserable -- just like your mom -- because you didnt have the guts to use birth control. And, anyway, what happened to your hatred of Catholicism because THEY preach against birth control!

You're no better than HItler, with your breeding camps!

Women have a right to a carefree life. Stick to your comic books and leave intelligent people alone to make their own intelligent, environment saving decisions.

Birth Control Pills make my life manageable. Endometriosis runs in my family. Even though my mum had a mild form of the disease she still threw up and had to be put on the pill as a child to control the pain. Without the hormones the pill secretes to keep my body in balance, I would be virtually out of commission for one whole week a month.

My mom started the pill as young as 13 and I was forced to go on it this year for the pain (I am 17).

Margaret Sanger populated birth control to reduce "self induced" abortions and what she saw as the suppression of women's sexuality. She was not waging a war "on children" or on "families". She saw the Church's opposition to birth control as an attempt to keep families (and membership) high.

Birth control is meant to keep abortions from being necessary. It is not a conspiracy.

Not to mention: fertility is not always celebrated (see: teenage mothers, rape victims). People like Leslee fail to see that holding a woman's abilities to produce babies over her personal welfare or right to rule her life freely is a step backward in history.

"WE NEED TO CELEBRATE OUR FERTILITY"???!!! Say wha-a-a-a-t??
Suddenly, I'm picturing ch-eerily chirpy Leslee Unruh as the head of a
women's tree-hugging, pagan-oriented wiccan circle, with flowers in
her long straggly hair and wearing a tie-dye muu-muu and Birkenstocks.
My question is, how many children does she and doctor hubby Allen
have? If she says less than five, she's obviously shirking her respon-
sibility.
To be sure, I also noted Cavuto's coment about 12-13 year olds, as in
"Well, next thing ya know, they'll be PASSING THOSE PILLS OUT LIKE
CANDY TO ALL THE LITTLE KIDDIES and you know what THAT mean, folks,REAL ANARCHY". And speaking of kiddies, I would LOVE to be
fly on the ceiling at her daughter's honeymoon where she supposedly only had her "first kiss" with her groom on their wedding day!
Wonder if she's spawned any grandkids for Momma Leslee yet?
Also, if she's so DEAD AGAINST "Big Pharma", then lovely Leslee needs to chuck all of her bottle-blonde hair color AND her obviously pancaked-on make-up. Doesn't the "Queen of Fertility" know that's stuff's highly TOXIC? Next interview I want to see her in, she'd better be sans blonde wig/dye job and au naturel make-up. No jewelry, either, including the rock I'm sure she sports from the rich chiropractor.
Children in S. Africa DIED to get her that sparkler.

CAVUTO: So, 12, 13-year-old girls taking this like chicklets would be okay?

Better than 12, 13 year old girls popping chicklets into their kid's mouths because they can't offord to feed them properly. Really, what an insensitive statement. While my period isn't a huge inconvenience, I definately wouldn't want other women what have issues such as PMDD or Endometriosis to suffer needlessly; The whole biblical punishment justification needs to stop,or at least for people who don't subscribe to that school of thought (can I even call it that? there doesn't seem to be much thinking going on, but what the heck.)

Hey saywho, do you use condoms? If not, you are risking disease and possibly adding to the overpopulation and disease in this country, which of course means more drugs…if you do use them, you are adding to the chemicals by using latex….not to mention if you have sex with women who are on the pill or using any birth control, you yourself “want to cum but don’t want a baby”.

Can you pronounce the following word? “hypocrite”.

Comment by null and droid — May 26, 2007 @ 6:51 pm

So you want to be my antagonist? It would be better if you stayed on the topic. I mentioned that taking pills when no true medical condition exists is not good. I mentioned that drug companies want you to get sick since that is how they get paid. I mentioned that the hormones in those pills are synthetic and have several side effects that can be causes of death.

My sex life is not an issue since I don't take pills to avoid pregnancy. The issue is not birth control but drugs being viewed as a solution to non medical issues. The issue is that pills have side effects and when stroke, heart attack and loss of limb are risked to prevent a pregnancy many women take the risk. The issue is that the video clip is not news at all but instead a cleaver infomercial designed to pitch a product. The issue is that drugs made today wind up in our food chain and cause men and women sexual dysfunction.

Try debating the topic rather than going off topic. When you do that it does not make you cleaver but instead makes you a hypocrite. Men and women are being trained by businesses to be better consumers. We learn that we can solve our problems with a pill and that is OK since it is your life. At this point humanity must make hard choices and pills add to the chemical war surrounding us.

I don't like when people say that someone is less feminine or less masculine because of certain qualities of their personality or certain choices they make. I can't stand how people like clinging to the gender binary and stereotypes like that. You're not less of a woman if you don't want your period or kids. Why are many things considered "feminine" full of stress, lots of work and pain (tiny, tiny clothes, lots of make-up, being super skinny, having kids, having perfect skin, body parts and hair, etc.)? And then if you choose not to conform, you're not enough of a woman and therefore should be shunned? Bah humbug to that, Ms. Unruh.

I can't stand misogynists.

yes, let's all have babies and more babies. Let's keep women pregnant from the age of 12 (bring back marriage for 11/12 years old), until they are in their late 40s or early 50s and going through menopause. If you can imagine a woman who has her first baby at 12, and her last at 50, she could have well over 40 kids - close to 50 if you get her pregnant immediately after giving birth, and throw in a couple of sets of twins. More tithing money for the church! Jesus needs a new Cadillac.

That host is very one-sided, isn't it? He's on the side of that woman, Leslie, because you can tell in the way he says things, like:
"So, 12, 13-year-old girls taking this like chicklets would be okay?"

He's not very fair to that other girl that's trying to be nice. The woman named Leslie smiles weird and is rather strange in the way she presents her argument. I don't like her. Why is she smiling? This is a very serious discussion.

This is Fox News though, which is a Republican network. They can call it whatever they want, it's a Republican network. I want a Democratic network. Why can't we have one if they have one? (And if they think ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN are Democratic networks, they're wrong. Those networks trip over themselves trying to be as "moderate" as they can be.)

This asshat must have no idea that old fashioned birth control pills, that have been on the market for decades, can also be used to stop periods. Horror! I've been stopping my cycle for 15 years! Hopefully as people stop repoducing, morons like this one will all eventaully die off.

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice

The video clip is propaganda that favors the drug companies. The woman on the right portrays the "nut case" (irrational exuberance) while the woman on the left is the "guiding voice of reason" and Cavuto becomes "sexist man." These three symbols convince a woman viewer that her individuality relies on her ability to seek the same sexual gratification that men do. Women will learn to think of their period as an encumbrance that can be pushed aside so she can develop a career and derive pleasure from sex.

Taking pills for non medical reasons happened as a result of two men. Edward L. Bernays used his Uncle Sigmund Freud's principles of psychology to become the "Father of Spin" and the so-called inventor of public relations. Pillsbury had difficulty selling a one part cake mix so Bernays came up with having the woman baking the cake adding one egg to the mix. That mix is still being sold today. Focus groups and study groups are used today as a result of Bernays.

In essance you are being played by the group that you defend. This is a dirty trick that people take hook, line and sinker. Your individuality today has been reduced to choosing between products. Humans made it this far because they survived in groups. Individuality has been molded and manipulated by cleaver people so that we don't even realize who we are.

Read the list of possible side effects in my other post. Chest pain, blood clots and deep vein thrombosis are not side effects ladies. Read that again it says heart attack, strokes and loss of limbs are possible. One of those hormones was found in the now discontinued "patch" and women that took that till it was taken off the market suffered from heart attacks, strokes and loss of limb.

Possible heart attacks, strokes and loss of limb are not "side effects" but primary causes of death. The patch and implants contained each of the 2 drugs found in Lybrel. Then a portion of these drugs makes it to the food chain. Now the FDA is supposed to protect you from toxins but the truth is that in the long run taking these pills will give you cancer, heart attacks, strokes, etc.

Drug companies have solutions for those conditions too. Blood thinners, cancer drugs, antibiotics, pain pills, IV drugs and surgical implants can be yours for a price. Sure we are all at risk daily from all directions however taking pills increases the risks. I'm sure a stroke will not help to get you laid.

Now go on and take your pills you good little sheep! Baaaaaaaaaa.

One definition of insanity, which comes from evolutionary psychology states that you are insane if you do something to intentionally reduce your genetic fitness.

By this definition, taking a birth control pill is indeed insanity.

That's the funniest thing I've seen all week. Gotta love Fox News. "The birth control industry is waging war on babies!"

I think she's waging war on my sanity.

Um, Saywho, I never said any of that crap that you claim. I didn’t discuss my personal choices or decisions. I merely pointed out that on a macro level, I would take the small amount of estrogen from the BCP than from the vast amount of plastics. So get off your judgemental horse. Live your life and stop judging others whom you do not know.

"Love them or hate them but I’ll take the small amount in birth control pills over the ones the plastics industry tells us we just can’t live without."

That makes you a hypocrite and a fool! That makes you selfish.
