Happy to see MY MAN, Rep Brad Miller, of the great state of NC, vote NO on this bill. He will be getting re-elected, that’s for darn sure.

The fight isn’t over. This isn’t the end. FAR from it. The Democratic Party needs to clean its own house after this…

Whatever we do, we need to NOT spin this as a failure of all Democrats, but as a failure of middle-road Democrats pandering to Republican interests. It’s easy to see here from this vote who needs to get “fired” from their job.

The Republicans in Washington have shown how much they hate our country and our troops. Now the Democrats who were elected because of their lies about getting us out of the Iraq War are showing how much they hate our country and our troops. The only thing Congress is united on, Republicans and now Democrats alike, is their love of George W. Bush. They can say how much they want us out of Iraq, but in the end their actions are all that matters. The voters of this country should now know that neither party is going to get our troops out of Iraq. The United States of America is doomed.

Actually you’ve had *years* to up the minimum wage – but fair wages for workers (fairness in anything actually) is never a priority for you wingnuts. What if Bush turned around and attached one of his famous signing statements refusing to enact the higher minimum wage?
