Conyers wants new hearing with McNulty, Moschella.»

House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) has written Alberto Gonzales, formally requesting new hearings with Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty and Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General William Moschella:

Although we had requested informally that these officials testify even before yesterday’s hearing, the testimony of Monica Goodling has made it even more imperative that we hear from Mr. McNulty and Mr. Moschella about concerns that they testified falsely about the 2006 dismissal of U.S. Attorneys.

Why are no citations of perjury drawn yet?

They lie and thumb their noses, because they know Pelosi will not allow impeachment proceedings to go forward.

The Democrats currently in office have lost my support, because they chickened out on facing down Bush and demanding a timeline to end the Iraq clusterf*ck.
I will be putting my efforts behind those dems and independants running to replace whoever is currently in office.

Remove the Bushie Democrats from office.

  2. Zooey Says:

Stop being polite and subpoena the witnesses.

  3. jacbi Says:

Maybe we should be asking Griffin and all about their caging of voters to illegally remove them from voter roles. It appears the DOJ was actively participating in voter suppression, A.K.A. election fraud.

  4. Hypocrisy Says:

Subpoenas! Quit trying to be so fricking nice with your stupid letters! DEMAND through legal means that they appear! These Dems just don’t get it, do they? Even firefighters use fire to control fire. Get with the game you wimpy Democrats.

  5. Shuichi Says:

Yes. Stop being nice and issue subpoenas! C’mon Conyers, it’s about the caging and the voter fraud. Call Greg Palast, get the copies of the emails he has, lock these mf’ers up!

So many people hung their high hopes on Conyers. Why he even appeared on the blogs, Kos, for one. And he was adored, in typical fashion, for being the only one with the spine.

Heh–Conyers, stop addressing Kos and the blogs. You, as well as many of your cohorts have let us down—big time. That goes for all the other political oportunists who have a secretary post to blogs, in order to gain support and have your name bandied about as a great saviour. Well he got the support–then cowered before the big Bush machine. My message to these turncoats to the people is—no more opportunist posts to the most popular blogs. It is disrespectful and you are USING THE BLOGS TO PROMOTE YOURSELF, OR YOUR BOOK, (Kerry for one)

Huff post has a blog now by Murtha–another turn coat. Can’t make a comment to the 256 comments already posted because there is an “error” message and a server error message. Needless to say, Huff post does skew it’s commentaries–a lot.

The Democratic leadership has to put impeachment back on the table. These Repuds are thumbing their noses at us and getting away with murder. They have all contradicted each other and yet, the Dems do little about it. Stop wasting time and demand that Rove and Miers appear under oath, better yet, put Bush and Cheney under oath. Comey fingered Bush in that illegal maneuver to get Ashcroft to sign in the hospital. Can someone explain to me why the Dems are not putting Bush and Cheney on the hot seat. If this had been Clinton, you know it would have been done yesterday.

  11. Candyce Says:

So much blah blah. What’s the point of these hearings anyway? Either issue the subpoenas or stfu. All we’ve seen so far is that hearings are nothing but bullshit. Nothing comes of them. Lurita violated the Hatch Act. No consequences except another hearing. Goodling told us the AG not only lied, but possibly tried to taint her testimony. No consequences except more hearings.

  12. Sharon Says:

    Done deal Lady Z..

#11 just in case you missed it and I am not being balligerant when I say this..We no longer have a 2 party system, yesterday prooved that..What we have is Republican/Democrat all the same minus the handfull that voted with us..Note it was 14 in the senate..Across all states…Rep and Rep lite enabelers is all we have..I am still mad as hell and outraged, I do not tolerate or forgive the behavior that they all showed yesterday….Some of us are realy one way about murder, lieing and stealing for self gain…This summere’s event’s may show how many agree with me…Wasen’t it the Beatles that sang a song with the word’s “you say you want a revolution”….I”m ready ..Blessings

  13. Katie Says:

I am hoping that congress has set a trap for all these people. I know that Conyers has the e-mails Greg Palast ended up with and I suspect that he is stringing them out to get them to commit perjury. I also suspect that is why they went so light on Monica. They got enough to nail her so the went lightly with her now. Once they confront her with what they have to charge her with, I bet she sings like a bird. Personally I would like to see her and the rest go to prison to set an example for what will happen to you if you try to politicize the Justice Department.

  14. Basho Says:

I hold out little hope for anything substantive occurring under the Democrats. We can look forward to lots of hearings that go nowhere. A HUGE disappointment……all of it.

Just hand Bush everything he needs to continue the carnage in Iraq. Give him as much time as he needs. Gonzales continues on. Rove stays put. Nothing changes.
