Shasha dumped him right after he got the boot. I’d still like to know how a foriegn national like her got a top secret security clearance at our State Department. The FIRST foriegn national to have that kind of clearance. Somethings stinks here and it’s not just Wolfowitz.

He’s staying until June 30 so he gets a $400,000 bonus. Good job wolfie, I hope your lawyer takes all of it. Now slink back into your hole and don’t ever come out again. It’s hell getting caught isn’t Wolfie?

If the media had been doing its job properly, Wolfowitz’s lack of qualifications would have been big news when Bush first appointed him to be World Bank president and he would have never gotten the job.

Then, it took the American media a lot longer than the European media to pick up the story on Wolfowitz, his terrible management style, and the juicy deal he cut with his girlfriend so both of them could get rich, tax-free, at the World Bank.

Wolfowitz should be praising the media, not attacking it.

Wolfowitz should have been fired by the World Bank board. Cutting a deal with Wolfowitz has allowed him to claim that he did nothing wrong, but he was involved in unethical activities.

Ah, I remember Wolfy after the initial successes in Iraq, breezing about media outlets basking the feelings of righteousness and vindication.

Then reality dawned, and Wolfy closed the curtains. Confidence is often a mark of foolishness.

Now we are left with this dissembling fool and wonder how he made it so high.

Apparently Wolfowitz cannot read. The Bank’s Board accepted that he believed that he had acted in good faith, not that he actually did act in good faith. Also, their investigation report, published just a few days before the “face-saving deal” found him guilty of conflict of interest, violating his contract, lying and being a poor manager. And if he’s so smart, how come he didn’t know that giving his girlfriend excessive promotions and raises was breaking the rules? Is this how it’s done in the U.S. Government or in academia? Didn’t he bother to check? Oh, that’s right – he checked with an outside law firm that didn’t know anything about the Bank’s rules, and apparently didn’t know anything about ethics either…
