“Stand by for announcement of the new president of the World Bank. ‘I think we’re getting pretty close,’ White House spokesman Tony Snow said today aboard Air Force One as President Bush headed to Georgia for an immigration event. This week? ‘Likely, yes,’ says Snow.“
So, the WH pick is who?
May 29th, 2007 at 11:55 amAnd his credentials are what?
And his previous indictments and convictions include what?
And the blackmail factor and corruptibility factor is how high?
When Bill Frist turns down a high-power job like this, you know its a rough day for Mr. Bush.

May 29th, 2007 at 12:09 pmre #1: Does the candidate have the “right stuff”?
May 29th, 2007 at 12:17 pmThings like “conservative without conscience”, does the candidate have a spouse and a boyfriend or girlfriend, ties to the right church
Why does TP show so much interest and concern in the World Bank?
Does TP support One World Global Government?
Have you not read Confessions of an Economic Hitman?
F*ck the World Bank, the UN, etc. Focus on America.
We need to mind our own business.
May 29th, 2007 at 12:20 pmthis totally supports my theory that wolfie was placed by bush at the world bank in no small part because he would push the bank back in to iraq, where it would offer loans to the iraqi government to rebuild the oil industry infrastructure, thus allowing the global oil companies to avoid paying for it themselves, and to start logging profits as soon as they started up after the passage of the iraqi oil law… the bank’s staff have been largely opposed and i thought perhaps that wolfie’s announced resignation would bring it to a halt… guess again…
And, yes, I DO take it personally
May 29th, 2007 at 12:22 pmwith thanks to Tom Tomorrow
The White House nominates the man in the Ronald Reagan mask.
May 29th, 2007 at 12:27 pmGeorge Nelson. “smilin’ george” “happy” just plain ol’ George to his friends. Only the media calls him “babyface”
May 29th, 2007 at 12:28 pmStrange that Bush always goes to Georgia, the state that has 100% voting on Diebold machines, and therefore has a GOP Governor that cheated to get into office, plus 2 brain-dead GOPer Senators too.
May 29th, 2007 at 12:32 pmNo real mystery about who Bush will chose to replace Wolfowitz, at the World Bank, since whoever will be chosen will be a incompetent crony.
May 29th, 2007 at 12:38 pmRobert Zoellick is my pick.
May 29th, 2007 at 12:47 pmMy guess is it will be Donald Rumsfeld.

There is no WE here jonny. You’re on your own.
May 29th, 2007 at 1:11 pmKevin > Bush would not be wise to chose Rummy to head the Bank, but heck he chose Wolfie, so he might do it.
May 29th, 2007 at 1:25 pmAnd it would be a miracle if the person chosen at least has half of brain than the distasterous comb licker Wolfowitz. Heard about Frist bailing out as comb licker’s replacement. Not a good day for the commander guy.
