Newt Gingrich on Karl Rove:

By Amanda Terkel on May 29th, 2007 at 2:49 pm

Newt Gingrich on Karl Rove:

“Let me be clear: twenty-eight-per-cent approval of the President, losing every closely contested Senate seat except one…that’s a collapse.” Gingrich blames “not only Iraq and Hurricane Katrina but also Karl Rove’s ‘maniacally dumb’ strategy in 2004, which left Bush with no political capital.”

    Hey Newt,

Shouldn’t you be out looking for your next new wife?

  2. VerbalKint says:

One of these days Rove is going to find that his circle of friends has dwindled to down to Bush and Barney. And then he will find himself in prison for a long time.

  3. Jake says:

Say hello to PRESIDENT Newt Gingrich!

  4. Your Concience says:

    Nat, er I mean Newt,

You are confusing me for someone who gives a Sh*t what you think. You are as relevent as……as……..what is his name……..?

  5. Your Concience says:

    Jake,

Urine specimen please. Put DOWN the crackpipe.

Our sky is blue, whats the color of the sky in your world.

  6. hgc says:

Anyone who falls for Newt’s BS deserves what he gets. Newt was all in favor of Rovian strategy until the polls started to make his own presidential bid look tough to acheive.

  7. hellinabucket says:

So Bush didn’t have any capitol to spend back in 2004? Sounds like political debt. If Bush is the problem, Newt is not the answer.

  8. KRank says:

    Run, Newt! Run!

Please run for President, Newt! Your party needs you!

  9. kelso says:

“losing every closely contested Senate seat except one…”

At least Newt is honest about where Sen. Lieberman’s loyalty resides.

No one else is running for the head of the “Christian Club” at your junior high – son? How sad, and pathetic.

Yeah, Gingrich, the same *idiot* that himself engineered the “shutdown” of the Government under Clinton, and was such a failure as leader of the house, his own party tried a “coup” against in him the house, and he eventually “resigned” in “disgrace” as speaker – when is own approval rating was 28%… Gingrich’s critique equally sounds like how people felt about him in 1998. Maybe that’s why it sounds so familiar?

You wankers can really pick ‘em Jake*ss. You *losers* trying to stick together again? Won’t happen, you f*ckers always eat your own children – like the natural born lizards that you are.

  11. Zooey says:

Newt Gringrich is a self-serving con.

  12. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

Voting for Newt is so sleezy even a Bushman can do it. (see Jake #3)

  13. Wilco says:

I hope he runs and wins the Repub nomination. That would be a great day indeed.

  14. brando says:

Ole Jakey, always good for a good laugh! Thanks old boy.

  15. Wilco says:

He could have Tancredo as his running mate.

  16. bob (not the hacker) says:

jake, did you pretend to be a vet yesterday? did any real vets kick your chickenhawk ass?

  17. Mary Poplins says:

Newt will never never never be President. We will have a Democrat for President in 2008.

We need to put impeachment back on the table. First we need to impeach Cheney and then Old Bush and his Admin.

  18. Kay says:

Funny thing is, nobody is interested in what this a**hole has to say…

  19. RealityCheck says:

Why would ANYBODY care about ANYTHING that Gingrich has to say about ANYTHING????

  20. celtic cynic says:

That’s the proper response, Newt – Blame someone else.

  21. Doctor Lee, Atlanta says:

    Nit..er…Nat…no…Newt Yes…

  22. Badmoodman says:

Shouldn’t you be out looking for your next new wife? – - More like, “Shouldn’t you be out looking for your future fourth ex-wife?”

  23. Krazny says:

I think a Rudy/Newt for ‘08 would rock. The religious right would curl up and die.

  24. hellinabucket says:

I hope he throws his hat into the ring. The mud that’s going to be thrown by the republicans during the primaries will be entertaining.

  25. theswan says:

    Stop the crying neuter.

  26. ann says:

    Gingrich is increasingly irrelevent.

  27. ron says:

if theres anyone that knows “maniacally dumb”, it’s newt.

  28. carollt says:

Newt was singing a different tune before the Ds took control of Congress last November. Just another rat jumping ship as far as I am concerned.

  29. Sam says:

I might just be drawing a blank, but what was the one tightly contested senate seat that the GOP held onto? Newt isn’t referring to Connecticut is he?

  30. Patrick says:

Like #26 says… the only thing I would add is that newt (I like it when Inshannity humps my leg)… is a self serving jack ass.

  31. AboveTheClouds says:

Rove will be the first sleazy GOP shyster Gingrich hires as he tries to run for President on the “Let’s not talk about my leaving the House in disgrace” ticket. Rove’s pathological sleaze is about the only change Gingrich has to win over any votes. In other words–lies and deception–Rove’s speciality–are Newt’s only chance.

Much as I would like to think that Republicans consider Lieberman one of their own (they might as well) I think Newtie is talking about Tennessee, where Bob Corker defeated Harold Ford to retain Bill Frist’s seat.

  33. NeoCONS 'R' SCUM says:

Uh- huh. I usually wouldn’t lissin-a anything this scumbag has to say, but by GOLLY, he’s right- KKKarl is fallible afterall, ‘THE MATH’, and all.
Too bad he’s got pictures of too many good guys getting banged by goats in his dossiers.

  34. Sam says:

    Oh right, Ford. Thanks KRank.

  35. Joshua says:

    Chuckle,

The Garling Gauge has another take on that article, about Rove, eBay, Republican votes:

    Rove: eBay Turns You Republican
