Griffin resigned because he was ordered to by Rove and Co., who realized that there was about to be an investigation by Conyers committee, or even possibly face Senate confirmation hearing. Then this whole caging business along with other Republican felonious actions would surface for all to see. It was not because Jimmy wanted to be Thompson’s campaigne manager. If Thompson associates himself with this trash, he is toast.

Thompson and Griffin–Rove’s protege–working together to steal the ‘08 election! How cozy. And, we thought we were going to be rid of Rove when Bush left. Not a chance. He’s going to try to salvage his bankrupt legacy as a political guru by keeping the GOP in the White House. This will be how he does it, using Fred Thompson and Tim Griffin as his vehicle, fueled by charges of “voter fraud” just as he did in 2000 Florida and 2004 Ohio.

The caging scheme did involve deployed soldiers, but it disenfranchized some hundreds of thousands of black Floridians, and others around the country.

When the VOTE FRAUD conspiracy with the DoJ comes out, THEN Bushco will go down in flames.

Impeachment? Not enough votes. Indictment? Flapping their gums won’t stop that, and there aren’t many more arms to twist.

America looks at Bushco with a dead serious unmoving eye. The nightmare will end, because the people have bent as far as they are going to go.

These guys aren’t scared. They are running a flexible plan. It includes things like “gumming to death” whatever they don’t want to face: Senate confirmation, EPA action mandated by Supreme Court decision, you name it. It includes making it harder to get at people like Susan Ralston, Kyle Sampson and Monica Goodling, and a coterie of other ex- and soon-to-be ex-federal employees. Challenging Karl Rove is like pulling a weapon on a SWAT guy; it makes his day. It doesn’t mean it will, but that’s how Karl sees it. So keep at ‘em.

Now why would an upwardly mobile attorney resign from such a lucrative position? To join an actors presidential campaign who not only is running for president but also played one on TV. I think not. Perhaps the leftover monies in the Libby Defense Fund can be transferred to the Griffin Defense Fund. Looks like heâ€™s going to need it.

What was his level of involvement in the Arkansas Project (aside from the over a thousand subpoenas to Clinton administration officials)?

What is his relationship to Reed, Falwell, Gingrich, and Abramoff?

Did he work under Monica Goodling’s attorney, or Sara Ralston’s?
