Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) made an unannounced trip to Iraq today, telling reporters, “what I see here today is progress, significant progress.” Hours later, he was confronted by U.S. soldiers with a very different message: “We don’t feel like we’re making any progress.”
McClatchy reports tonight on Spc. David Williams, who collected questions for Lieberman from 30 other troops.
At the top of his note card was the question he got from nearly every one of his fellow soldiers:
“When are we going to get out of here?”
The rest was a laundry list. When would they have upgraded Humvees that could withstand the armor-penetrating weapons that U.S. officials claim are from Iran? When could they have body armor that was better in hot weather?
Williams missed six months of his girlfriend’s pregnancy when he was given six days’ notice to return to Iraq for his second tour. He also missed his baby boy’s birth. Three weeks ago, he went home and saw his first child.
“He looks just like me,” he said. “I didn’t want to come back. . . . We’re waiting to get blown up.” […]
Next to him, Spc. Will Hedin, 21, of Chester, Conn., thought about what he was going to say.
“We’re not making any progress,” Hedin said, as he recalled a comrade who was shot by a sniper last week. “It just seems like we drive around and wait to get shot at. … It’s just more troops, more targets.”
In the past two months, the unit has lost two men. In May alone, at least 120 U.S. troops died in Iraq, the bloodiest month in 2007 and the highest number since the battles of Fallujah in 2004.

Spc. Kevin Krasco, 20, of Medford, Mass., and Spc. Kevin Adams, 20, of Moosup, Conn., chimed in with their dismay before turning the conversation to baseball.
“It’s like everything else in this war,” Adams said, referring to Baghdad. “It hasn’t changed.”
Later, Lieberman walked in to see the soldiers “wearing a pair of sunglasses newly purchased from an Iraqi market that the military had taken him to in southeast Baghdad.” In response to their questions about leaving Iraq, Lieberman said it would be a “victory for al-Qaida and a victory for Iran.”

Troops In Iraq to Lieberman:
‘When Are We Going To Get Out Of Here?
Lieberman’s reply:
“I don’t know about you, but I’m outta here as soon as I get my picture taken…”
May 30th, 2007 at 10:40 pmLieberman hates the troops.
Lieberman hates the troops.
Lieberman hates the troops.
Lieberman hates the troops.
Lieberman hates the troops.
Repeat mantra often.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:42 pmIn the photo he looks like Gomer Pyle… Or perhaps Elmer Fudd…
May 30th, 2007 at 10:43 pmI really want that picture of Joe in his market-shades, flak jacket, and that teeny, ttiny helmet.
What a joke…he should be run out of Washington, or just switch parties already.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:44 pmLeaving Iraq would give Victory to alQaeda and Victory to Iran.
Gosh! Wasn’t that the advice the experts gave only it went “Invading Iraq…”?
Just who does Liebermaus think the USA is fighting for? I mean, if America wasn’t over there, the troops wouldn’t be in harm’s way.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:44 pmSunglasses? Did they sell out of rugs or what?
May 30th, 2007 at 10:45 pmThe troops are being maimed and killed for people like Joe Lieberman, to ensure their wealth and privilige.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:45 pmThere is a name for people like Joe Lieberman.
What a f*ckin’ joke. This guy shoud be run out of town already.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:46 pmLIE-berman didn’t hear a word the troops had to say. His head was too far up…. Well, you figure it out.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:46 pmYa know, unbelievable, a comment like that is pretty insulting… to Gomer and Elmer. Apologize… you heard me. You owe Elmer and Gomer a big one. Give it up…
May 30th, 2007 at 10:47 pmOh come on, Joe’s doing a good thing here. He’s over there to see how his pet war is going. That a boy Joey, you f__cking pathetic moron.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:49 pmLieberman is a moron…with a Shia majority, anything vaugely resembling democracy in Iraq would be a victory for Iran….the idea that we can somehow stay and foster a pro-western democracy if we just use enough military force is frankly, one of the most ridiculous ideas I’ve heard….
May 30th, 2007 at 10:51 pmfrom the day we went in, a victory for Iran was the best outcome we could have hoped for.
Holy(shit) Joe is so safe in Iraq that he has more flak jackets on than a model in an Oceanside, CA military surplus goods store. If this asshole is so safe over there, why all the body protection? Listening to the rhetoric from this documented phony, I thought we were making progress over there. Just can’t figure out how all those elitist “smart” people in CT put this clown back in office. Remember, everybody west of NY, CT, etc. are dumb asses out in the sticks. Only the “gifted” people could produce and sustain Holy(shit) Joe. When I grow up, I want to be a voter in Connecticut so I can vote for Holy(shit) Joe. Then I can consider myself to be really smart!!!
May 30th, 2007 at 10:53 pmI cannot summon the words to express my contempt for this putrid waste of human life.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:56 pmMake Joe stay in Iraq until the Iraqis have electricity, water, and security. Don’t tell me he’ll fly back to air-conditioned DC and leave our brave soldiers behind in the Bush’s hellhole of Iraq. What a schuck.
May 30th, 2007 at 10:59 pmTraitor Joe LIEberman has crossed the line of complete crass stupidity on his visit to Iraq. He has made a complete fool of himself and the residents of his state must force him to resign from the Senate in disgrace. Bye Joe!
May 30th, 2007 at 11:06 pmThose asking those “foolish” questions will get shipped to the Iran front when it opens shortly.
I see nuthink!
May 30th, 2007 at 11:10 pmLIEberman was unable to purchase the cheap rugs that Sen. Graham purchased in Baghdad, on his trip there, because the rug merchant stall at the market had been blown to bits. Instead Joe purchased sunglasses at another market, which means that one might be blown up as well too.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:11 pmYup- lets just continue to lick this fools boots! He is just what we all want the image of the democrat yo be.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:16 pm†In response to their questions about leaving Iraq, Lieberman said it would be a “victory for al-Qaida and a victory for Iran.â€
May 30th, 2007 at 11:17 pmIf he had an ounce of brains he would not have said this to any soldier in Iraq. What an idiot.
Old Joe has created his own Gov. Dukakis riding in a tank, wearing a silly helmet, looking goofy event. Joseph has destroyed himself politically just like Sen. John McCain did to himself in Baghdad, Iraq, a month or so ago.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:18 pmIt is not clear in the reporting that soldiers actually ASKED Lieberman these questions, only that they prepared these questions.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:18 pmThe situation in Iraq is far more complex than any US politician understands. The Sunni and Shia are not monolithic. There are various factions within each sect including the Wahabbis funded and promoted by Saudi Arabia. Our presence in the area only acts as a lightning rod for unrest. The US is used as a surrogate target to vent frustrations by both sects and the myriad of other factions fighting there. We can really help maters by leaving and giving the Iraqis a chance to settle their own civil war.

May 30th, 2007 at 11:20 pmShoulda just fragged the jerk. Seems like then he’d get the idea…
May 30th, 2007 at 11:21 pmSomebody should have painted Joe’s helmet RED, because he is a warmongering whore for the Bush Regime.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:24 pmLike I said, frag the fool. Only way this thing’s gonna end is to frag more idiots who think its a cool idea. Worked in Nam, b’lieve me!

May 30th, 2007 at 11:37 pmDr Crow, right on.

May 30th, 2007 at 11:44 pmIn response to their questions about leaving Iraq, Lieberman said it would be a “victory for al-Qaida and a victory for Iran.â€
For shame. That jackass treated the troops like they were stupid kids.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:45 pmCan we stop loss Joe’s trip, like for 18 months.

May 30th, 2007 at 11:48 pmWayne ~ I have no doubt that fragging has already started and we’re not hearing about it.
May 30th, 2007 at 11:49 pmThe soldiers took one look at Lieberman and decided he was too freakin’ out of his mind to bother asking him their questions. But the idiot still managed to give them the worst possible news they would have gotten, if they had asked him the question.

May 30th, 2007 at 11:57 pmMy new name for Joe is LIEber-trash. He is the most disgusting person in the Senate and even makes a few of the GOPer Senators look better in comparrison. Sen. Harry Reid better do something about Joe or he can resign from the Senate too.

i have no problem with jews, but we have no reason for protecting israel.
Joe wears a blue work shirt in one pic above, believing in doing so the troops will think he is a working man, but the soldiers are forced to live in a hot dirty desert and are NOT impressed.

May 31st, 2007 at 12:18 amGreat job Nico.
Seasoned reporter Leila Fadel chats up the soldiers before their lunch with Lieberman and describes some of their concerns. She goes on to say that it’s not even clear whether they had a chance to ask any of their questions.
In your world this is a confrontation. Nice spin.

May 31st, 2007 at 1:39 amIn response to Lieberman’s claim that leaving would be “victory for al-Qaida”, the victory for al-Qaida occurred when Bush invaded Iraq and our staying isn’t going to change that. You don’t have to worry about the rest of the world thinking that we let OBL “get away with it”. The rest of the world knows that the 19 Arab patsies held out as responsible for the 911 atrocity are this generation’s Oswald.
What the rest of the world understands is that the United States is like a carp thrashing around in the bottom of a fisherman’s boat, relegated to die an inevitable slow death.
The US is in decline because we don’t have any energy and our economy and banking system are dependent upon using every increasing amounts of the stuff. Peak world oil production changes everything.
May 31st, 2007 at 3:35 amThe only way to get rid of Lieberwhore would be for the next president to (Democratic ofcourse) to appoint him to a cabinet job for about a month and then fire his ass. He’d be outta the senate and outta the government. Ofcourse the whore would still be a lobbyist but at least we wouldn’t have to listen to how awful Democrats are and how bipartisan he is. And, BTW he’s got to be appointed to some real powerful job that he would love, say head of DHS or something like that. Something that he would be utterly humiliated in being fired from for incompetence or better yet unethical behavior. Furthermore, it would be even better if he fired for allowing his wife to lobby on issues related to his new position. Kill two birds with one stone. Maybe he could be hauled in front of Henry Waxman’s committee and Waxman could go on and on about how a Democrat wouldn’t be allowed to actin an unethical way etc. etc. unlike how the Bush admin. has allowed their people to act.
May 31st, 2007 at 3:54 amf all registered Republicans would sign up for Iraq duty, we should be able to field an on-the-ground force approaching 100 million people, requiring perhaps 200 million support staff.
With 100 million troops on the ground, we could ensure that each and every Iraqi alive would have round-the-clock, 24/7 accompaniment by at least 1 US soldier, in 8 hour rotations.
Anything less is surrendering to the Global Caliphatic Jihad.

May 31st, 2007 at 5:12 amIf you run across any Right-wing nut job who is talking about support the troops and is of military serving age, ask them why aren’t they there fighting this very moment.
It is so easy to be pro-war from a distance.
May 31st, 2007 at 5:37 amYo Joe. If what you are seeing is “progress, significant progress” why are you wearing body armor and a helmet in that picture? Stupid bastard.
May 31st, 2007 at 5:39 amhopefully this will mean VICTORY for a REAL DEMOCRAT in Connecticut in the not-too-distant future.
May 31st, 2007 at 6:30 amOr maybe Connecticut can get off its ASS and start talking some sense into this moron.
Thanks Connecticut voters for sending this piece of mierta back to the Senate….
May 31st, 2007 at 7:10 amWhat the F____ is wrong with the people of Connecticut that they allow this traitor to represent them in the Senate. They should force him to resign.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:19 amAnd how much did this photo-op shopping trip cost?
Citizens of Connecticut, WAKE UP. This piece of trash should be recalled, impeached, forced to resign, burned at the stake, etc.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:26 amWhat the F____ is wrong with the people of Connecticut that they allow this traitor to represent them in the Senate. They should force him to resign.
Comment by Expat — May 31, 2007 @ 7:19 am
They can’t. Suckers.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:33 amWhere are all the guys who need target practice?
Lieberman would get them an extra 10 points.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:34 amThat photo of Holy Joe in a flak jacket and helmet reminds me of Dukakis in the tank.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:35 amSo, GI Joe says we are making progress. If that is the case, GI Joe with your escort, flak jacket, sunglasses, and helicopter protection, change places with one of those true soliders who asked a legitimate question about HIS life and death daily struggle to an idiot who continues to stand before cameras for a photo op as he returns to his relatively safe room in the green zone. Change places, you piece of shit!
May 31st, 2007 at 7:42 am#109 - “That photo of Holy Joe in a flak jacket and helmet reminds me of Dukakis in the tank.” Comment by ann — May 31, 2007 @ 7:35 am
It reminds me of Pres. Bush in a flight jacket on the deck of a Carrier.
Only Pres. Bush’s “military whore” moment was both pathetic AND sad. Dukakis’s moment was just sad.
May 31st, 2007 at 8:09 amMr. Lieberman speaks with two or more tongues. He is not a Democrate, nor is he a Republican. The question is:
May 31st, 2007 at 8:11 am“does he think American?”
W.
The only way to get rid of Lieberwhore would be for the next president to (Democratic ofcourse) to appoint him to a cabinet job for about a month and then fire his ass. He’d be outta the senate and outta the government.
Comment by warren tarrah
Nice idea, but unfortunately the governor of Connecticut is a Republican, and she would appoint Joey’s successor, so it will never happen. I’ve lived in CT for the past four years and voted for Lamont, the war and Dim Son are deeply unpopular here, and yet Lieberman sails on. Go figure.
May 31st, 2007 at 8:16 amJoe Lieberman…what a putz. At a resident of CT, I would like to formally apologize for inflicting Joe on the rest of the nation. As a Dem, I did everything in my power to defeat Joe in the last election, including campaigning for Ned Lamont, and contributing money to his campaign. But Joe was too slick.
May 31st, 2007 at 8:20 amI’m a strong Gore supporter, BUT, WTF was Albert, Jr. thinking back in 2000?
May 31st, 2007 at 8:32 amThe only reason we are still in Iraq is for OIL. As soon as the Iraqis Government signs into law the big four OIL Companies will have a 30 year contract to steal the Iraq OIL. They will have control over this.
Why did we bulid the biggest Embassy in the world in Iraq? We will be their for years. Our Chlidren, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will be paying for this war for years. How sad.
May 31st, 2007 at 8:36 amhaha! a warhawk like Lieberman deserved to be confronted by the troops he’s keeping over there in harm’s way…
In response to their questions about leaving Iraq, Lieberman said it would be a “victory for al-Qaida and a victory for Iran.â€
he may have said that to the press, but I bet he didn’t have the pair to say the directly to the troops when they questioned him…
May 31st, 2007 at 8:39 am115- dude, i was just about to ask that!
Actually, it was going to be along the lines of why no one has asked Mr. Gore recently about his lunatic, former running-mates behavior over the past 7 years.
May 31st, 2007 at 8:42 amEvery idiot in Connecticut that voted for this apologist, ignorant little weasil should be ashamed of themselves. Does a few jobs at some submarine base warrent 6 years of this sycophant? Uh the answer is NO!
May 31st, 2007 at 9:02 amLieberman is a phony and all the registered Republican voters in Connecticut ought to be hunted down and forced to sign over their children to this rich man’s war!!! Six more years of this Bush ass kisser is too much to stomach!!!
May 31st, 2007 at 9:06 amHello . . Nancy . . . are you there ?
May 31st, 2007 at 9:07 amIMPEACH Georgie and Dickey.
You know there’s massive cause.
Do it now.
It’s the only way this is going to stop.
Lieberman is a phony!! I say that all the registered Republicans in Connecticut ought to be hunted down and forced to sign their children up for this rich man’s war based on lies!!! I cannot believe they voted for this Bush ass kisser!!!
May 31st, 2007 at 9:08 amLieberman to troops.
May 31st, 2007 at 9:24 am“I don’t care if they shoot your asses.
Just check me out in my cheap sunglasses”.
“Progress, significant progress” says G.I. Joe-mentum. Please be more specific.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:01 amHope no troops, mercenaries, or people in the markets paid a price for his fantasy photo-op, the only way he can get pictures of himself in a helmet outside the bedroom. If he held Senate committee hearings instead of prevented them from being held, the cost of this trip to the US taxpayers might have been worth it. If he had any integrity, he might think it didn’t matterwhether Republicans elected him, he’s still supposed to put in a good day’s work for a good week’s wages.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:08 amWords cannot describe my contempt for our senator. Weasel, sanctimonious, unctious, whatever, CT is saddled with somebody who embodies the worst we have in Congress. He, Bush and all the other chicken should “stand a post” and replace the troops who are getting killed for oil and nothing else. If we survive the next 18 months, history will tell us that the BA and minions like Lieberman has lead this nation to disaster after disaster with impunity. Compared to these bozos, Nixon was God. ’nuff said.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:44 amThat little craphead looks like such a pitiful, wimpo super-dork in that helmet & vest.
In comparison, Dukakis looked like f’n
GI JOE when he wore that helmet on the tank in 1988.
Don’t count on the MSM to notice though.
May 31st, 2007 at 11:09 amWouldn’t be politically correct.
what can one say! lieberman is just another fool from washington. how can anyone determine the progress on such a short visit and where did he get that absurd information from. a total waste of time and money. and to what end does the surge serve? the presidents enemies are not going to stand and fight, they will only slip away and wait. after years of war we can’t even hold down the capital and the iragi government and their army are playing both sides while draining the resources of our once great country. this is a civil war and not a war on terrorist. our interest there is oil, not democracy. we need to leave the country and let them decide for themselves, no matter how the winds may blow. we never had the moral right to be there anyway. what would you do if someone decided to invade and occupy america? as far as our men and women in office, both parties sold the american people out! the vast amounts of money spent on the war should have been used for us, taking care of the our own problems at home. we have been raped, abused and many of our basic rights taken from us by those sitting in washington lining their pockets while using scare tactics and lies. congress! what a scam! the people sent a clear message to get out of irag and congress promised to follow through, only to submit to political postering, lies and their own pork. how many times must we bend over. i admire and love the young men and women who have given themselves to a cause they believe in, but even they will come to realize this will be for naught. history will show that. we cannot win by the forces of war and one needs only to learn from the wrongs of our past. we have no true understanding of their culture and time will show that our leaders were not leaders but men of profit and greed. even our own private corporations and the pentagon are taking advantage of our brave men and women in service. they can’t even provide the proper tools to save lives. and what about all the innocent civilians killed in irag? are they terrorists? we need leaders to come forth and put a stop to all this madness. to finally stand up without their own agenda’s and save us from ourselves. this country has changed for the worse and we need to change our course of action without the threat of war. our government needs to get back to basic’s and concentrate on the things that made america great. we need to help our own and each one of us must do our part to make our country strong again. bring back the respect and love for all our fellow men, pushing aside our petty differences while working together as a whole to accomplish the harmony with nature as each one of us tries to reach within ourselves, the perfections of being god-like.
May 31st, 2007 at 11:52 amWe will not get out of Iraq until the Republican party calculates that the political damage it is causing is too great to bear. Until then, our soldiers will die to keep the GOP from having to admit that they mis-read and mis-managed this war from the outset. What a disgrace the GOP has become. I guess they will just follow Bush over the cliff.
May 31st, 2007 at 12:41 pmWow. I thought Dukakis looked dumpy in a helmet.
May 31st, 2007 at 1:04 pmLieberman’s is the “real” face of the Democratic Party, Independent or not since the “Blank Check” war funding bill of 07/07 it ought to be clear we live in a one party totalitarian Fascist state… Republican, Democrats, Independents boot licker’sto the core…
May 31st, 2007 at 2:06 pm
I’m not an American (I’m Canadian) - but I have been an admirer of much that is great about America for a lifetime = (58 years). I have to ask all of your citizens who are of the majority age - how did your country slip to this level of sloth and laziness that you are not out in the streets in mass calling for the impeachment of the current President - and the removal from office of the evil men - many are the likes of Mr. Lieberman (and I should mention that it seems that there are also evil women in/with power in the USA like Ms. Rice and Ms Clinton).
My wife and I weep every day for the sensless loss of so many beautiful young men and women in “Rumsfelds War” … also we see it as the war of all working in and for the Bush administration … The Democrats also seem spineless and as guilty as sin of supporting the folly through total inaction.
Come on America the world needs your best in these times of peril and unreason … Your countr has had better leadership in the past (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln and FDR) ….
I’m sure there must be better leadership found in your homes & hearts …. do something soon before the insanity of the species destoys or at least severly cripples the world in countless ways for future generations.
May 31st, 2007 at 3:07 pmHOW TO STOP WAR
In the days of yore, leaders led from the front, not sitting in front of computer monitors thousands of miles away in the bomb proof bunker called the Pentagon or the “situation room” of the White House.
May 31st, 2007 at 3:08 pmTo get things back on track, I propose that every politician who votes to send our children off to slaughter and be slaughtered should, by law, be required to be trained, then sent to spend six-months inside the theater of action, be it Iraq or whatever war-de-jour.
Provisions could be made for these legislators to continue to vote and legislate via secure channels on the internet. When done, the younger politicians would be issued weapons and combat gear (including body armor — but only after all the young soldiers their policies placed in harm’s way have all been issued theirs). They then would routinely be ordered out on combat patrols in the same armorless Humvees our young troops are dying in.
Pols too old to go on patrol will be given a tent inside the green-zone where they can learn to live with the fear and uncertainty of rubbing shoulders with Iraqis, any of whom might just be the next vest-bomber. Their sleep won’t be so solid since every random incoming rocket or mortar round has a chance to wound, maim or red-X them.
After doing their legislative work via e-mail, the older pols will be assigned to work as orderlies with the grave registration units where they can help prepare the mutilated bodies of our young for shipment back to their grieving parents. Also, health permitting, these older politicians who voted to send our youth off to “their war,” must put on their blue, pin-striped suits and serve as escorts on the body-planes shuttling back and forth at night to the Dover body-processing-center, and then on to the homes of the dead soldiers where they will personally present the American flag to the grieving parents in lieu of their children. (Note: The Secretary of Defense will be required to actually sign the death letters and not use his signature machine.)
If travel is deemed too hard on the aging bodies of these politician/warriors, they will be assigned to work as orderlies in MASH tents where they can clean up the body-fluids and bloody gauze created by amputation operations.
Perhaps when these spine-challenged politicians are required to see and hear and smell the reality of the armless, legless, eyeless young men and women their policies have created, they will think twice about sending them off to a war that truly, short of oil, had no cause.
It’s easy to strut around saying, “Bring ‘em on” when you’re thousands of miles away from the awfulness of war and surrounded by the best body-guards in the world. If we passed a resolution that stuck all those NeoCon, chicken-hawk, war-lovers in the middle of that carnage of their making, we would quickly see some real foreign-relation policy changes — especially if you told them after six months that their tour of duty was being extended.
We who are merely onlookers weep for the tragedy that the loss of so many young men and women to the forces of foolishness represents.
From Canada … where we too have a fool at the helm …
May 31st, 2007 at 3:12 pmJoe Lieberman holds all the cards. He will do anything to ‘protect’ his beloved Israel including sacrificing our troops. He can threaten to switch to Republican and instantly make the Democrats the minority party once again. Connecticut should be ashamed!
May 31st, 2007 at 3:29 pmJoe Lieberman sucks.
Yeah, not nice. Not polite, either - but damn, it feels good to say it.
May 31st, 2007 at 4:37 pmLieberman’s unswerving support for the Iraq issue is totally Israeli based. Now, before anybody starts calling me an anti-Semite or anti-Israel, I am a Jew, and I publish an online journal of Jewish culture and lifestyle, and I am certainly not anti-Israel. But I do not believe that Israel’s interests should ever supersede our own. Lieberman is a neo-con who believes that what is good for Israel is always good for the U.S. He believes that our control of Iraq will make Israel safer, something that is even debated in Israel itself. His support for the war has very little to do with U.S. national interests. It upsets me and other Jewish people I know that Lieberman is willing to see our young men and women die to support Israel’s interests no matter the will of the vast majority of the American citizens.
May 31st, 2007 at 7:23 pmI do not understand why people continue to go along with this manipulating liar. I believe his father know people in high places and got his son the governorship as well as the Presidency and we ought to know better than to follow this man. Terrorism is all over the world so why are we just messing around with Iraq. I believe this man pulled our resources into Iraq for personal wealth and not to save this country from terrorist. Remember that Bush’s cabinet already received the threat of 9/11 and they dropped the ball just to use this as an excuse to go to war. Hello, are you there? Can you here me now? No Americans do not hear and I believe they are scared to react, and face what they know in their hearts what is really going on with this Congress.
May 31st, 2007 at 9:02 pmFein post 137 > I applaud your remarks about Lieberman working for Israel only. Somebody with your background needed to say it and not me.
May 31st, 2007 at 10:53 pmJesus Christ. Lieberman makes Michael Dukakis in the tank look like George Fucking Patton!
What a joke.
June 1st, 2007 at 11:41 amSTUPID FRIGGIN CONNECTICUT VOTERS HAD THEIR CHANCE & BLEW IT.
Thanks for always putting Israel before America, Joe.
June 4th, 2007 at 1:15 amditto in regard to Michael Fein’s post above; not all jews put zionist self interests ahead of justice and democracy or american interests.
http://thinkprogress.org/ 2007/ 05/ 30/ lieberman-iraq/ #comment-3833059
June 4th, 2007 at 1:20 amYou’ll be out of Iraq as soon as you refuse to participate in an aggressive war or as soon as you refuse to kill civilians or as soon as you decide that you will recognize that you are participating in an enormous war crime.
It’s not that hard to figure out, but I enjoy the humor of asking Lieberman the question.
June 5th, 2007 at 12:08 amDroopy looks funny in all that padding. Matter of fact, he looks like shit. Way to undermine the military.
June 7th, 2007 at 5:39 pmWhat in the world were you thinking, Joe ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
June 9th, 2007 at 9:16 am
